the hotel was fabulous! the staff was very helpful, the location was perfect, the room (4212) was clean & bathroom updated. (i stayed there this weekend, room 4212 (miguel & desiree bautista). i left my navy blue uniqulo windbreaker in the room. how much would it cost to mail it to me? can you send me the cost because if it's too much no need to mail it to me). thanks & i will recommend your hotel to all my friends & family.

The view from the room window was great - you can see the mountains. The view from the hotel restaurant windows is very beautiful: you can see both castles. The hotel terrace overlooks lake Alpsee. Large, convenient but paid parking with cards. Spacious, large room with all amenities, comfortable bed, very good terrace for two people. Fast internet, very tasty breakfast, there were two restaurants: luxurious and traditional, simpler with a very wide menu. It was very convenient to get to both castles and to the Marienbridge right from the hotel: by bike, on foot, by bus, with horses and a carriage.

The price is a bit high, but the place is unique and it can't be cheap.

Hotel was very nice, check in was easy and informative, lots of places to eat including restaurants and a less formal bar menu. We got upgraded to a room with a view of both castles which was a nice surprise. The hotel itself is located right next to the bus stop and place to get the horse and carriage to the castle. It couldn’t be more convenient but once you’re in the hotel you wouldn’t know you’re that close to the crowds.

The saunas do not permit swimwear. I know this is the norm for many countries but not for everyone. Hotel doesn’t provide a king size duvet. They give you two single duvets.

Pulling up to the hotel after a long drive from France over backroads past the Bodensee, we were absolutely blown away by the beauty of this hotel's location. We were met by an extremely friendly staff and shown to a wonderful room with fantastic views of Schloss Hohenschwangau and the Alpsee. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of hot and cold, sweet and savoury options. Weisswurst every morning, hiking every day, and beer every evening... what could possibly be bad about that? The large family room we were in had plenty of space for our baggage (4 pieces plus carry-ons) and plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack and settle in. The amenities at the hotel were absolutely first rate! We loved the pool and sauna and relaxed over a bottle of wine at the bar and enjoyed a wonderful Bayerische abendessen at the Bräustüberl.

The staff was very friendly and engaging, however, in some instances they didn't seem informed about certain policies and in some instances their English (and even German) was a bit shaky. Nothing major, and nothing that a little extra training from hotel management can't fix. Also, would love it if there were trail maps for the guests in their rooms. We seemed like we had to go digging for certain information about activities in the local area. Fortunately, Google works...

The lake is located right behind the hotel, which is stunning. It’s very close to the oldest castle and the ticket areas, offering breathtaking views. The pool and spa areas are exceptionally clean. Breakfast is plentiful, with a wide variety of delicious options. I’d like to extend my special thanks to the lady at the restaurant who welcomed me and guided me to the table with the best view, as well as to Hani for assisting me. It could be a great choice for solo travelers. Antique enthusiasts might prefer the Jägerhaus, while the modern section is more practical due to its proximity to the spa.

A great location to go to Neuschwanstein and surrounding areas. The hotel is right next to Alpsee Lake, like 2 mins walk, you can swim in the lake, the view is very beautiful. The hotel also has a very nice and warm indoor swimming pool, perfect for family with kids to swim and play.

The room service menu items are very limited, not much choices for kids, should add some more items such as pizza and pasta etc. There is no laundry service, the hotel should provide laundry service or maybe provide a washing and drying machine somewhere for guests to self use.

Location is superb and we loved the Jägerhouse. Breakfast staff was super-friendly!

The bathroom smelled like a wet cellar that had not been opened for months and the bathroom floor was not very clean

That we got a room with a castle view to Neuschwanstein.

The pools temperature in the wellness area is too cold for just relaxing.

The facilities (swimming pool, sauna and spa area) are great, just a little bit busy in the evening before dinner time. From the pool, you have a nice view of Hohenschwangau with relaxing music. The staff are very friendly and kind. The location is very convenient for a walk to Hohenschwangau, the ticket center and the bus stop to Neuschwanstein is just in front of the hotel (you can only go up to Neuschwanstein by the provided bus, a private horse carriage or by walk). We could park at the hotel’s parking even after the check out. We had a room in the historic Jägerhaus building - it was a classic ambience but the lighting was a little too dark. I would definitely go back but rather stay in the new building. At least a night stay in the area is recommended due to the whole day of time spent on both castles, Marien Brücke, the nearby lake (not yet counting the museum of the Bavarian King, renting a boat, shopping at local shops and duty free).
