A charmingly furnished and appointed b and b. This is a really unique place! The shower took a little longer than usual to warm up and the internet connection was just a fraction slow, but this in no way detracted from my enjoyment and appreciation. It’s right by the northern entrance of the old city walls and close to everything, because Treviso’s historic center is very concentrated and walkable. Very close to some fine restaurants and the town’s beautiful Francescan church. A lovely walk from there to the Isola della Pescheria and then on to all the other sights. Highly recommended!
I liked everything about it.

If you like small boutique hotels better than the big indifferent ones, then Locanda San Tomaso is for you. It's cute - you can see everywhere that the owner of the place is an artist. It's comfortable - the rooms are designed with a character and are equipped with everything one needs for a nice vacation (including the air conditioner which is really a must in summertime in Italy). It's warm - the staff (incl the owners) are friendly and good-natured. We really enjoyed our long plentiful breakfasts we were served. It's well-located - there are shops, restaurants and bars around the place, including wonderful restaurant Mercato San Tomaso just in the same building. We saw in the reviews that some people found it awful, we did not. We found it as extra value. The noise from outside can be easily muffled by closing the window coverings. And as a bonus, twice a week there is a market in the street in front of the hotel.

We loved everything about this guesthouse. The location is wonderful, a short walk from the centre of the old town, and literally adjoining the most spectacular of the three remaining Roman gateways through the medieval walls. The house is old and atmospheric, and has rooms on various levels which we knew about before we booked. But you don't notice the stairs because there are so many unusual and interesting things to look at as you move through the various landings. Our room had a wonderful view of a medieval bridge and canal. The guesthouse is quirky. We stayed 4 nights and still reckon we did not see everything there is to see on every wall and in every room. It is full of interesting memorabilia, photos and fantastic art, (mostly that of Pape, one of our wonderful hosts). Our room was large, very comfortable and clean and had a large and comfortable bed. Breakfast can only be described as really exceptional. We had everything from pastries of all sorts, to cheeses, meats, eggs of every type, fruit, breads, toast, juices, jams, yogurt and unusual additions like an assortment of sweets, including liquorice allsorts. We really looked forward to our breakfast each morning. And finally the staff were wonderful. The proprietor, Martina and her partner Pape could not do enough for us. Communication beforehand, and check in, were straightforward. They were very friendly throughout our stay. They gave us suggestions for restaurants, always chatted to us in the mornings, and organised our taxi to the airport when leaving. Nothing was too much trouble.
There was nothing not to like. This is not your normal guesthouse experience so we recommend you book it in the knowledge that you are booking something very different, very special, and high quality. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Locanda San Tomaso which is perfectly located inside the old city walls of Treviso. We were able to walk everywhere and explore the many sights of this charming city. The Locanda provided us with a cozy and comfortable space, filled with art and a special decor. Beppe provided great suggestions for local restaurants and Mari served us an amazing breakfast each morning. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was excellent. Location was perfect
Stairs. Many sets of stairs- in order to get into building, to our room, to breakfast - to anywhere in facility. When asked proprietors said that as a landmarked building not permitted to change anything. So if you have difficulty w climbing this will detract from your stay.

Stunningly and uniquely decorated. A wonderful apartment. A superb location in the best part of an amazing city, with lots going on. The apartment has all the basics for self caterers (if that’s what you want to do) but is also just a wonderful (and unique) base to go out and experience the nearby trattorias, osterias, bars and cafes. The Saturday market is incredible too. There can be late night sounds of a lot of happy people outside the nearby bars, but we loved this, it always felt positive and safe and we attended a fantastic late night jazz evening only 15 meters from the apartment
Perhaps it could do with an electric kettle for tea as the hob one took a very long time to boil. Having said that, there are lovely espresso makers in there and also the cafe opposite also does the fantastic espresso and divine cakes too!

Close to the centre of town and right by the city walls which are great for a stroll overlooking the water. Very stylish and spacious apartment. Good value.
Quite a bit of noise from bars below (it was a Saturday night), and it was very busy outside when we arrived due to the market - I personally found it much more pleasant once the market was closed. The single bed in our bedroom (there was also a double) was very hard.

Everything was very interesting! The room and the building iniside arranged with great taste, has an artistic atmosphere. A lot of paintings on the wall (also of our host) and interesting old items everywhere. The host is charming and helpfull :) The biulding is very close to the city center, bars and restaurants.
It was Friday night and downstairs there are 3 pubs, so it was loud. So the best way to spend the evening is to join the people in the pub, drink well and then go to sleep! :)

Location is near the city center, in the historical area. Rooms are perfect for a couple, very nice decorated with unique decor touches. The hosts are very kind.
The property is located above some bars. we stayed here on saturday and sunday and music was up until 2 in the morning. If you have an early flight during the weekend and you need some rest, this is not the best location for it.

Pepe and Martina are superb hosts -- informative, helpful, fun. The inn is jam-packed with interesting art and books, I just wanted to stop in every staircase and niche to examine. Breakfasts were sumptuous and delicious. The view from our window was of the canal, the morning alarm was the call of geese. Great walking neighborhood!
Everything was fine!
