A huge thank you to Lisa and the team! We travelled all the way from Manchester to Millport — a six-hour journey — only to face a further nine-hour wait due to the ferry being suspended and eventually cancelled. 😞 Lisa went above and beyond by offering us a room that also welcomed our dog, especially when everywhere else was fully booked last minute. 🐶 From the moment we arrived, the service and support were incredible. We were welcomed with warm smiles, which made all the difference after such a long, stressful day. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, the rooms were spotless, and the bed was honestly one of the comfiest I’ve slept in for a long time. Sadly, we didn’t get a chance to try the food — but if the delicious smell was anything to go by, we definitely missed out! 🫶🏼 Thank you again — we’ll absolutely be back!

Breakfast was interesting ,I had the continental breakfast delivered in a cool box ,it was a different experience but pleasant never the less ,there was ample food ,fresh and in good condition ,and I did not have to rush to the dining room ,there was plenty of coffee and tea if I had wished in the room

no complaints the room was simple and modern ,very clean ,there was a sign on the basin saying the water could be slow ,it was fast enough ,the shower was brilliant (Aqualisa)plenty of pressure and warm

There was an issue with my room-service continental breakfast and the compensation I received was generous and unprompted. Much appreciated. Good food in the bar/restaurant.

Breakfast not served until 10 am ... hence the room-service continental breakfast option. But surely someone could be employed to provide breakfast at a sensible hour ... between 7 and 9 am, as is common in most establishments. The last time I stayed, admittedly a few tears ago, an excellent cooked breakfast was served at "breakfast time"! The shower in my room was exasperating rather than joyful!

I had such a warm welcome and Uplawmoor Hotel had a really good feel to it. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. I would love to go back and explore the area but sadly I was only passing through on this occasion. I wasn't able to stay for breakfast but I was given a goodie bag in its place which was delicious. Parking was ample. All round a good experience.

It's a very charming historic building, with original timber showing. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which was nice after a long drive. The village is very quiet and perfect for a short evening walk.

The shower was a bit dated and I couldn't get any more than lukewarm water. There was a bit of noise from the kitchen fans that was audible but they're switched off at night so sleep is not interrupted.

The location was perfect for our needs to stop off to Glasgow. The welcome we received and the attention from all the staff. The dinner menu had a lovely choice of starters and main courses. Garlic bread wasn't on the menu but the staff happily prepared us some with fresh garlic not the bottle variety. Our visit from start to departing was totally warm, welcoming and a relaxing vibe. The room was cosy and warm. We enjoyed an excellent night's sleep.

What's not to like? Perfect stay we wish them all the best. Grand job, where service is getting hard to find these days much appreciated.

Staff were good and willing to go out of the way to help...rooms were clean though a bit dated...

A cooked Breakfast was only available for a sitting at 10am ..other than this you could have a snack box of Croissant, muffin and snack..left out for collection at reception...a bit disappointed really..

It would have been better to make breakfast available before 10am for those guests that need an early start.

We contacted the hotel 2 days before our stay to see if we could collect a room key as we would be arriving before the check in time to go to a wedding. Staff were extremely helpful and let us check in a full 2 hours early. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! Staff were great!

Stayed here with a friend for the second time. The strength of the hotel is definitely the brilliant staff. They are friendly and helpful whilst ensuring you have a great stay. Lovely peaceful location. Neilston train station less than 10 minutes drive away ( about £ 8 taxi fare) with frequent trains into central Glasgow. Great value for money compared to hotels prices in central Glasgow. We liked the timings for breakfast ( 10.00-11.00 ) with the option of an earlier continental breakfast. Great choice for breakfast, well presented, particularly liked the sausages. Loved having both a bath and shower in the bathroom

Parts of the hotel are looking tired Disliked decaffeinated coffee at breakfast which was a bit bitter for my taste. However these things can be overlooked due to the lovely staff
