Close to station and central for tourist activities

Several areas of carpeting, public facing and in the rooms, need attention. Edges are fraying badly. Bed was very comfy. Radiator on full blast was tempered by opening a window. Room 204 bathroom had badly maintained bath surround - looked as though it was harbouring a multitude of nastiness. Carpets were threadbare in places along the skirting boards. Room 208 muslins at the window were in dire need of a washing machine. I’ve stayed here once before and everything was lovely. Some need of investment required please

When searching for a hotel in Glasgow I wanted breakfast included and a room with a bath. The pictures of the double room option for this hotel showed a bath but on arrival our room had no bath. The reception staff were great and luckily another room with a bath was available for us to swap to. I recommend sending a message requesting a room with a bath on booking as not all the double rooms have them. There was plenty of hot water and the bed was comfy. The breakfast is continental only but fine. The hotel is well located, very central next to the station. Would stay there again.

The Artto Hotel in Glasgow is a perfect central destination, located directly opposite Glasgow's Grand Central Station. We arrived via a bus from the airport, which dropped us conveniently at the end of Hope Street, just a short walk away. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, with welcoming staff and an excellent location. The rooms were well-maintained, and the bar downstairs was a great spot for late-night drinks. The hotel also offers an Indian café for food orders, adding a nice touch of variety. Its location was a highlight—close to the Solid Rock Bar for live music, a sports bar across the street where you can play pool and watch all kinds of sports, and plenty of nearby conveniences, including a Tesco. When we arrived at 11 am, our room was already ready, which was a pleasant surprise and allowed us to relax before heading out for our first evening outing, a gig that was also within walking distance. On the second day, our room was refreshed, with clean sheets and restocked tea and coffee supplies. Lovely place to stay. Save your money and stay in this great little hotel that provides all your needs for a fantastic weekend stay without breaking the bank. Overall, a fantastic experience with great amenities, a lively atmosphere, and an unbeatable central location. Would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Glasgow.

The staff were very friendly. I arrived early and they let me have a room instead of me waiting about which was great, so I could go off exploring in Glasgow! The room was basic but clean and was nice and warm. The bathroom was good and there was plenty of room. The shower was really powerful as was the hairdryer! There was a large mirror in the bathroom and two more in the bedroom. Plenty of hangers for my clothes and plenty of drawers too. The television had many channels and different options which was great when I came back to my room in the evening. I would definitely go back to the Artto Hotel as the location is excellent, just across the street from Glasgow Central station. The carpet was a bit threadbare but very clean, but on the whole, the hotel was great for the budget price I paid. I would recommend you take earplugs with you as the nightlife in the area can be heard until the early hours as Hope Street is a main thoroughfare, although I always take earplugs when I travel anywhere! I will definitely book this hotel again!

There was nothing wrong with the hotel for me, but I was glad I was on the 1st floor as the lift was out of action when I was there. I paid a budget price and I got a budget room, no problems!

Great location. The hotel is across the road from Glasgow Central train station. Excellent location for everything. The staff, especially Brian and Mickael behind the bar were very friendly and helpful. The Indian restaurant (also part of the hotel) has a great buffet. Great value for money. The twin room I shared with a friend was adequate. Tea & Coffee facilities and bathroom were all fine and fit for purpose. Not luxurious but certainly practical. The Toby Jug pub (outside the hotel and walk left for 1 minute on the left hand side) is a gem. Best deal in Glasgow at GBP 1,99 a pint !!!!

The room was perhaps a bit dated, although it was clean enough and had everything we needed for the few nights. I did miss a toilet brush in the bathroom though. I really can't fault this hotel. It's not a 5 star but it's more than adequate and clean enough. I'd stay here again.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, shower was great. The towels were great too. Reception and bar were stylish. Breakfast was good with really good fresh coffee made to order. Slept well.

Lift broken. Some furniture showing age. Rear terrace closed. Bathroom a bit tatty, especially the tiles. Grout was a bit mould stained, but they were clearly trying to deal with that and it didn't bother us much. Carpets a little frayed and damaged, would prefer hard flooring.

Hotel is positioned just across the street from the Glasgow Central station and a short walk away from several tourist spots. There is also an underground station nearby (St. Enoch). The room was small but included everything for a pleasant stay (comfortable bed and a private bathroom) The staff was really nice and happy to help with everything. The breakfast was basic (toast, ham, cheese, jams, juice, tea and coffee) We were around all day, so we only needed a place to sleep, shower and get breakfast and we received all of it at the Artto Hotel.

The room might need a bit of upkeeping (stains on the curtain and on the floor) and from time to time everything shakes (2nd floor). I was quite worried the first day but then I kind of got used to it. Maybe it's because of the trains across the street, I don't know...

Me my fiancé and our friends stayed for 1 night to attend a gig at the Hydro. On arrival we were checked in by a young guy on the counter (wish I had got his name) who also happened to be the barman too. He was rushing about back and forth and still with a smile on his face. He was so nice and polite to us we all and got us checked-in in no time at all. Room's were clean and comfortable and we all got a decent night's sleep. The hotel lounge and bar area is nicely decked out and the bar is well stocked and very reasonably priced which is rare for hotel bars in city centres. There are taxis lined up outside across the road most of the day but you are in walking distance of everything if it's food, drink, shopping or whatever you're fancying. We would definitely book again!!

The only complaint I would have is that the lifts were not working while we were there and those stairs were a killer if on the second and third floor. But that is me just being picky

room very basic but clean, great location across the road from central station and also 10 min walk from queen street station. Close to bars, shops, restaurants. Has its own Indian restaurant next door , it’s buffet style and was really nice and great value for money! George square is 10 minute walk away where you can get the hop on, hop off bus. as a solo traveller felt very safe and secure at this hotel. Would stay here again.

was told at first I couldn’t leave my luggage on day of departure whilst I went out despite it being advertised on here. I the end I was aloud at my own risk.
