I tried to do thorough research before booking any hotels for our trip, so I felt confident with reserving this place in terms of it achieving our main priorities (something bigger than a twin bed, parking on site, not overly expensive, etc). However we were not prepared to be so blown away by the quiet magnificence of this place! Not only is it gorgeous inside and out, it has a fascinating history, and the most AMAZING staff. From the congenial front desk to the fantastic room to the awe-inspiring kitchen, I would give it more than 10 stars if I could. Sorry I have to say it once again for emphasis, the food here is UNBELIEVABLE - my husband and I were licking our plates clean, and my husband is very picky when it comes to food. But they had him happily eating things he'd never looked twice at before!

We're only sorry we couldn't stay longer. We're thinking about planning another trip back to this area specifically, so that we can stay here the whole time and eat in every night!

This is the 2nd stay at Ashtree House in Paisley. We stayed for just one night on each stay as we were working in the town centre. The hotel is quiet, despite being a 5 minute walk from the main centre. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the bed linen is very clean and high quality. We didn't stay for breakfast or have dinner, but there is a fantastic whiskey bar and comfortable lounge. The lady that manages/owns the hotel is very kind and friendly - as well as being very knowledgeable about the vast selection of whiskeys in the bar!! The room and en-suite bathroom was well appointed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any travellers to Paisley.

The hotel is a beautiful old building that naturally features many steps which may not be suitable for some guests.

I loved that the Ashtree was so historic, built in 1795 yet had all the modern comforts. I liked that it was quiet. The chef and pastry chef were top notch so I could eat a delicious gourmet meal without having to go out. Maureen at the front desk was great with advice, saved me money by suggesting I take the train for my day in Glasgow. She also made sure I got special bag breakfast when I had to leave too early to get Ashtree’s

It was no fault of the Ashtree, but my cab driver from Glasgow was in a bad mood because the fare to Ashtree in Paisley was so low! I suggest apologies to cab driver as you get in.

Area was great and easy to access from train station. The bedroom was big with lovely comfy chairs and the bedding was clean and smelt really fresh. lovely comfy bed and a good night sleep. Shower was powerful. Staff on arrival and departure were lovely. Good parking facilities and lovely to be able to sit in the garden.

Bathroom looked lovely but there was mould stains on grout and also missing grout between tiles and around sink. Some discoloured patches and loose paint and a hole on ceiling. Windows need attention. Blind cord was very high to reach to open and close blinds. Need to use mugs to fill the kettle. There is scaffolding on the building which was ok as no builders were there at the time but could be awkward as they would pass the window and see into bedroom. Carpet at the top of the stairs is slightly lower than the floor and I stumbled not expecting it.

We are mature cyclists making our way through the length of the UK in byte sized chunks. All five hotels we visited on this chunk were memorable in their own way. This hotel was full of character in an area where traditional buildings are being repurposed . The owners were welcoming and very friendly. Meals were excellent and accommodation spacious, comfortable and clean. Our bikes were securely stored overnight.

Not much. We just wish we weren’t put in a bedroom up two flights of stairs! The cycle ride was challenging enough!

The owners were very friendly and helpful especially with us needing a ride to the airport at 3:30 am! The room was very comfortable with a comfortable bed and lovely shower with tasteful Scottish decor. It was so convenient to be less than 10 minutes from the airport so early in the morning(3;30 am). The authentic "old" estate home was very quaint and "Scottish".

It was difficult to get an uber during the late afternoon, took about 35-40 minutes, whereas the other cities had a driver for us within 10 minutes of our request.

A great family-run hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming and offered great tips for things to do in Glasgow and restaurants in the area. We appreciated the onsite parking. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. There was a whisky bar with a knowledgeable barman who offered good suggestions on whisky. There was also a cozy sitting area. Breakfast was delicious. The train to Glasgow was a six minute walk and got you to the city centre in ten minutes. I wish we had explored more of Paisley.

The surrounding area is making a comeback and is in the process of being revitalized so this was a hidden gem. The only thing that was off-putting was that the outside parking area landscaping could use some sprucing up. We also couldn't tell which door to go in.

Great breakfast, staff and location. Tom taxied us to gig at bellahouston park and came back for us once it was finished. Very much appreciated by us both.

Bed was very comfortable but pillows a bit hard. Last set of stairs were a bit narrow and steep for us (beautiful old building with character) and wasn't easy to access the over the bath shower. (in our 60's)

Ashtree House Hotel is situated in a very stylish building, like a mini castle in the centre of a lovely tiny park in Paisley, Glasgow. The owners and the staff we met were extremely kind. The room was big, well furnished and equipped as per the introduction on Booking. Having breakfast here was a great start of the day. You could make your choise out of a long list and food is delicious. At the bar you could taste whiskey from a wide variety of distilleries. I recommend it to all who would discover this part of Scotland and need a base. Also for those, who needs an airport hotel, but fed up with the standardized look hotels which are the same at the airports all over the world. Here, you can taste Scotland!

The name Airport Hotel does not really covers the reality, as it is a 15 mins taxi ride from the GLA itself. But as it is visible in the map and we were aware about it, I cannot complain. Naming like this is rather a kind of a marketing.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff fantastic, we recieved a great welcome, and were amazed by the decor, which we loved. It was our first night as a married couple. And are looking forward to our first anniversary, when will be booking another stay at this fantastic hotel. With the intent on having a night in at their amazing little whiskey bar which has a fantastic selection of the finest on offer. A must for anyone wanting to spend some time in paisley. And highly recommend
