A great family-run hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming and offered great tips for things to do in Glasgow and restaurants in the area. We appreciated the onsite parking. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. There was a whisky bar with a knowledgeable barman who offered good suggestions on whisky. There was also a cozy sitting area. Breakfast was delicious. The train to Glasgow was a six minute walk and got you to the city centre in ten minutes. I wish we had explored more of Paisley.

The surrounding area is making a comeback and is in the process of being revitalized so this was a hidden gem. The only thing that was off-putting was that the outside parking area landscaping could use some sprucing up. We also couldn't tell which door to go in.

Ashtree House Hotel is situated in a very stylish building, like a mini castle in the centre of a lovely tiny park in Paisley, Glasgow. The owners and the staff we met were extremely kind. The room was big, well furnished and equipped as per the introduction on Booking. Having breakfast here was a great start of the day. You could make your choise out of a long list and food is delicious. At the bar you could taste whiskey from a wide variety of distilleries. I recommend it to all who would discover this part of Scotland and need a base. Also for those, who needs an airport hotel, but fed up with the standardized look hotels which are the same at the airports all over the world. Here, you can taste Scotland!

The name Airport Hotel does not really covers the reality, as it is a 15 mins taxi ride from the GLA itself. But as it is visible in the map and we were aware about it, I cannot complain. Naming like this is rather a kind of a marketing.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff fantastic, we recieved a great welcome, and were amazed by the decor, which we loved. It was our first night as a married couple. And are looking forward to our first anniversary, when will be booking another stay at this fantastic hotel. With the intent on having a night in at their amazing little whiskey bar which has a fantastic selection of the finest on offer. A must for anyone wanting to spend some time in paisley. And highly recommend

That we couldn't stay longer

So glad we found this Guest House, we had a family emergency to attend to, which required my husband and myself to book somewhere for a night incredibly last minute. It is a beautiful, historic and well preserved and presented location. The room (room 10) was comfortable, homely and had all you needed to rest and recharge, (which we greatly needed to do!) The staff were very welcoming from the get go, even though we must have looked like we had been put through a wringer! They checked us in, gave us all the information about when supper and breakfast was and even helped with a number for a local taxi service to get us to and from the hospital. Next time we are visiting Glasgow for a (hopefully) happier reason, we shall go out of our way to book here again, for a longer time and with our children! I know I kept saying it when we were there, but thank you all again for taking us at such short notice, and for the welcoming vibes (and morning coffee was the best I've had in forever!) We loved this beautiful and well kept historical inn. The room was very nice with a cozy, comfortable bed and the shower was the best we’ve had in Scotland….great shower head, hot water, and water pressure. Delightful! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with plenty of choices to order. Especially nice was the hospitality of the innkeeper who always was kind, friendly, and suggested we go to the Abbey down the street until time to leave for the airport. Beautiful and a great experience. We will return to Ashtree House if ever in Glasgow/Paisley again.

Wonderful small country house style hotel, perfectly located in the centre of Paisley. Peaceful and quiet with free car parking in the grounds. Staff were exceptional, a great warm welcome and an enthusiasm for us as guests. Hotel rooms are exceptional, every modern comfort but with period charm. A lovely garden area to the rear that we can't wait to try in future visits when we've a little more time and the seasons warm up. Overall, great value and couldn't have asked for anything better for our stay.

Lovely traditional building. Family run. Owner was also receptionist and barman. Everyone friendly and helpful. Don't expect uniformed funkiest and porters! Dinner menu limited but wholesome and beautifully presented.

It required throwing of a double six to negotiate the traffic system to drive there in the labyrinthine Paisley rush hour. But that is Paisley - not the hotel's issue. Approach steep and thus v tricky in several inches of slush from storm Bert. Again, not a hotel issue driving was awful everywhere

The hosts, Marjorie and Tom, were delightful. They took extra care to make sure we had everything we needed including the best whisky choice and setting up our early a.m. cab ride to the airport. We weren't sure that the hotel was in the best location (safety-wise) on our drive in, but it turned out to be a convenient and safe location. Marjorie was exceptionally attentive and made sure we were comfortable and happy during our stay. She had great suggestions for a place to pick up lunch and to visit the local abbey.

Can't think of anything. This historic hotel doesn't have a lift/elevator. That may be the only downfall.

Really neat place - interesting buildings, beautifully and cozily decorated. Great location to airport and downtown Paisley. Proprietor is wonderful - warm, interesting and interested. One of best meals we had in Scotland - dinner was fantastic (and you can order ahead) and very affordable (remarkably so for quality of meal). Would stay again next time in area. Bar has wonderful selection of whisky.

Nothing, as it was a great stay. Suppose a few spots could use a touch of new paint, but that's it.

The hotel has all the olde world charm of yesteryear. It is a cosy old house built in the 1890’s that has been thoughtfully restored to maintain the authentic period but with modern facilities. The proprietor and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu was extensive and if required, a very nice dinner is available. Free parking onsite and only a very short stroll to train station.
