The staff were exceptional and so was the location! Nothing was too difficult for the staff they were all super helpful and kind. I liked the outside sitting area and the breakfast was simple but good. It was pretty easy to get to and from the station with about a 5-10 minute walk depending on whether you stroll or walk faster. I still walked to the main beach and used that one and was very happy to have use of the free beach towels. I also liked being close to a small supermarket and grabbed some snacks and water there. Being a solo female traveller I felt safe and had a wonderful stay.

One small thing was that the walls are very thin and sound travelled a lot but nothing to do with the hotel it was my neighbours who were loud.

It is perfectly situated in the heart of Monterosso and the terrace outside is a beautiful spot to relax and read in opposite a shop/house covered in bougainvillea on one of the main, but not noisy, streets. Great for people watching. The staff, especially the young man, were incredibly helpful and kind. I even heard him giving informal Italian language advice to another guest. It was much lovelier than I had envisaged and well priced for Monterosso. I had a small single room and there was ample room. Not the most stylish room but it had everything I needed and a very comfortable bed and a terrace which I wasn't expecting.

The only thing that let it down was the breakfast in a claustrophobic room with no windows, though some of us went out on the terrace in front of the hotel. Not especially good coffee. I would recommend coffee at Pasticerria Laura.

We were so pleasantly surprised. This is our second stay in Monterosso and had no idea what to expect. Hotel Margherita is a gem and reasonably priced. The hotel and rooms are very clean. The staff are exceptionally friendly, from Roberto to Giuliano and others. They are so accommodating and helpful. Right down the street from many restaurants and the dock to get on the ferry. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much! We have found our Monterosso vacation hotel.

Honestly do not have anything!

We loved the location in old town in the middle of restaurants and shopping. It was a quick 10 minute walk to the train station and only 3 minutes to the beach. Our room had a beautiful terrace overlooking a beautiful lemon tree and shops and restaurants. Breakfast was great! They even provided us with a snack bag with bottles of water for our early morning departure.

The walls have no insulation. We could hear the people in the room next to us very easily.

Excellent location to do everything. Go in hike, trains, swimming! Clean and very comfortable. Great breakfast. Giulio(?) at the reception was outstanding-wonderful, friendly, patient and very helpful. Thank you Giulio. Also the older gentleman serving at breakfast was lovely and friendly.

Most of staff are a bit unfriendly and unwelcoming but that might be an Italian thing or because of dealing with too many tourists. We did find 2 staff members to be lovely and friendly.

The location was perfect - we parked in the garage a few blocks away, then our hotel was right in the heart of town. I was happy not to lug our bags too far to the hotel, which also had a good elevator. The views from our big balcony were gorgeous. The room was comfortable, breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful at the desk.

The shower was a little tight, but it worked ok.

The location was amazing and Monterossa should not be missed in a trip to Cinqueterra. The hotel is towards the end of the shopping district which was nice. It had easy access to restaurants, beaches and shops. The staff were incredibly helpful, even offering to help us to our room with our bags.

It is an Italy problem more than this specific hotel but the beds were hard compared to what I am used to. The WiFi was free but varied in strength.

We had the best time at the Hotel Margherita, It should be given a fourth star in our opinion. The hotel was spotless, The staff very professional and lovely to chat to. We had a warm and I felt genuine welcome when we arrived late from our adventure on getting to hotel. I can’t remember the female name who was warm and welcoming. I would like to say Simone was very helpful with his local knowledge and lovely to chat to. The breakfast was 11/10. Absolutely excellent and continuously topped up my the lovely gentleman. Thank you to the kitchen staff and whoever makes that gorgeous breakfast 🍳 😊. The beach towels were an added bonus and surprise but such a good idea. Definitely better than any 4 star hotels we’ve stayed in . We hope to return. Thank you

There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like. It was amazing, worth every euro. It was an easy 10 minute walk to train station and beaches left and right of Montarosso. We had a beautiful room and so did our three kids have their own lovely room. The outside space was lovely around the hotel Lovely stay and hope to be back

Location was perfect. Breakfast and limited bar was what was expected and good. Mostly modern, which I preferred. The staff was very helpful in coordinating a sunset cruise and laundry. Very happy with both.

On check in the attendant mixed up our keys and gave the double to the single and gave the double key to the single. This caused conflict within our group of 3. We worked it out. Also, I had asked the hotel about a taxi from the station to the hotel before arriving. They advised to walk, but there is a taxi they didn’t tell us about.

Good location a bit away from the crowds but still very walkable. We had a car and the parking garage is one block away, very convenient. Only about 200 meters to bring your bags from the beginning of the pedestrian only section. Convenient to everything in the old town section, but only 10 minutes to the train station. Lots of cafes and coffee close by. Rooms were big, linens were fresh and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is clean and modern, completely updated. The included breakfast was excellent and the small bar and lobby worked great for a drink before and after dinner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I found nothing to dislike about the hotel and left with a smile. I would definitely stay here again.
