The location is ideal for access to the steam railway at Quorn. The parking was plentiful with easy access and our ground floor rooms were quiet and comfortable. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the dinners were excellent.

Because the evening meals were so good, I was slightly disappointed with the breakfasts. The choice was Full English minus any items you did not want. That was it! There was a good selection of fruit and the usual toast and hot drinks, but only having strawberry or apricot jam to choose was poor. I had expected marmalade and honey and a wider choice of cooked.

A lovely, quiet hotel surrounded by countryside. It had a bar and comfortable lounge and the meals ordered from the bar in the evening were tasty and well presented. The bedrooms were comfortable and were ideal for us as we had patio doors which we could open easily to walk the dog when she needed to go out. Being a pet friendly hotel was of great importance to us, so thank you.

The breakfast was adequate and a full English breakfast was available to order. It would have been better if there had been a menu offering alternative to the traditional hot breakfast. Also more of a selection in the buffet section in terms of a variety of cereals, pastries, fruit and nuts including fresh fruit such as bananas strawberries, apples etc. would be appealing.

We have stayed here many times. It really depends on which room you are allocated as to whether the stay is more or less enjoyable. This time we were allocated a very musty room on the ground floor looking into the car park. We complained and were reallocated a nice first floor room looking out onto the garden without any fuss, so full marks for that. Breakfast is pretty average ( but has always been ) Precooked breakfasts are very often gone by 8.30 and this time there were no eggs and only 2 slices of bacon left in the containers. Coffee does not taste much like coffee and an expresso is shot out of the machine in one second flat.. Staff are always very nice.

I have stayed at Quorn Grange before and I will certainly stay again. As a generalisation the staff are very helpful and the hotel is comfortable in every sense of the word.

The worst aspect of this stay was the fact that the water for the bathroom shower was barely tepid. Lots of hot water in the central heating but not in the hand-basin, bath or shower. Not good for 0745. A further issue was the lack of service in the breakfast room. At the outset I had to request that the orange juice be replenished (it had run out) and a little later I had to locate the kitchen in order to find someone to provide plates for the hot food. When the plates eventually arrived they were cold. The final straw was when I attempted to end my breakfast with fruit salad only to find that bowl also to be empty. I can only assume that there was a staffing issue that day.

The staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to be helpful. It’s a conference venue which means it’s a little impersonal. It’s perfect for a one night stay, not a long break. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was pretty good.

The decor is a little dated but fine. The pizzas on the bar menu were pretty ropey. Not the sourdough version the menu suggests. We were charged the same price for breakfast regardless if you had the full English or just some bacon and toast which I thought was a little cheeky.

As a coeliac when a chef goes out of his way to make the food that I request outstanding I'm not only surprised but, most appreciative of the thoughtfulness!!! (And the taste! Not easy for gluten free food!) All the staff - in every part of the hotel - were so welcoming and easy to chat to... even after a busy Valentine's Day service the previous day!

I didn't find alternative pillows until we were leaving... The ones on the bed that we used need replacing... They were too solid - like bricks!

Room was excellent, only stayed for one night so can’t comment further really. Staff were extremely helpful after a booking error that could have ruined our evening and potentially caused us a long drive home. We were embarking on a train trip within a couple of hours so wouldn’t have had time to organise alternative accommodation, which we would have had to pay for, even if there was anything available locally. As we had settled in full through booking.com there would also have been the pain of obtaining a refund. Thankfully the hotel was able to provide us with two super rooms. Which was brilliant.

Not having the booking in place when we arrived to check in! It was paid for and confirmed through booking.com but sadly it hadn’t appeared on the hotel booking system. In future I will always check with the hotel itself that there was a reservation rather than rely on a booking.com confirmation.

The grounds of the hotel are stunning, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The most amazing shower I have ever had in a hotel.

The bathrooms are surrounded by glass a bit of putting watching your partner going to the toilet !!! I thought when you turned the light on the glass wouldn’t be transparent but it is ……… hard if your staying in a room with a friend as you might need to vacate the room while they shower ……

Easy to park, fabulous grounds with a welcoming entrance. Although extensively refurbished there are still features of the old Quorn Grange I remember for working there 30 years ago. The bedroom was large and contained a massive comfortable bed(slept so well). There was a bath too and the nice touch of guest toiletries on the side. Tea coffee and hot chocolate on the side ready to be made. Had the weather been better I’d have enjoyed the double doors which do open on to the car park but still very leafy. The breakfast was basic but nothing was missed. The offer of a freshly cooked breakfast was given but I opted for the buffet continental instead. The restaurant itself formed of the original bar area and part of the original restaurant was light and airy and well laid out. It was a pleasure to stay and I will be visiting again.

As with every older building there were signs of wear and tear but I’d be super critical to complain about that. I did feel like it was a shame it was so quiet. Hardly a guest in the place. I wonder if there is a trick being missed somewhere.

Comfortable bed. Great sized room and bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. Countryside hotel with lovely grounds to walk around/sit in.

No lift in the new part of the hotel. Which was bit of a problem. I'm not a fan of bathrooms with see through doors (or no door as I had at a Hilton last year). Would be awkward for friends or a parent and their adult child sharing.
