Spotless and large room with good shower. Location is in an up and coming neighborhood- just a few blocks from the port. I left a small bit important bag behind and they have already mailed it off to my next destination ❤️. Kudos to the amazing staff that made us feel welcome in Marseille!!

If you’re a woman traveling alone I would suggest using taxi to get home at night. You have to walk maybe one or two blocks in a “less than desirable “ location. Do not let this deter you from a clean and safe hotel!!

Chic and Convenient, With Just a Few Bumps I stayed at Boutique Hôtel Provencia for a few days and overall had a really good experience. The hotel lives up to its boutique label—stylish without being stuffy, clean, and centrally located in a way that feels accessible but not overrun with crowds. It’s a perfect base for exploring Marseille, with easy access to public transport and a short walk to the Old Port. The interior has a modern, curated vibe that makes the stay feel special, and the room was tidy and comfortable. I especially appreciated how quiet the area was at night despite being so central. Now for the not-so-perfect bits: Most of the staff were helpful, but a couple interactions left me feeling like I was more of an inconvenience than a guest. Nothing dramatic, just a bit brusque and impersonal at times. One otherwise pleasant staff member handed me a beach towel with a noticeable red stain on it—not the end of the world, but not ideal either. The design of the shower—being directly in the room and elevated—might be a consideration for larger guests or anyone who feels a little uneasy with lightweight platforms. It creaked a bit, which made me nervous at first, but I was totally fine. A few amenities felt a bit inconsistent: there were no wash towels provided, and bath towels weren’t always replenished after cleaning. A small thing, but it added up. That said, none of these minor issues ruined the stay. The hotel has great bones and a lot of charm. If they tighten up the service experience and small amenities, it could easily be a top-tier boutique destination. Would I stay again? Yes—especially for the location, aesthetic, and comfort. Just a few tweaks away from being outstanding.

We stayed in Marseille for 2 nights on our way back from 2 weeks in Provence. The hotel was perfect for walking around the old port and central areas of historic Marseille. Restaurants, shops etc are plentiful, easily accessible and decently priced. The hotel is charming and nicely decorated, with tall ceilings, a modern elevator, with a spacious room and a huge bathroom with a great shower, comfortable bed, large TV, well lit, functioning AC, quiet with the windows shut, airy and sunny with everything open. The breakfast room and garden are beautiful and a huge plus in the area, and the breakfast was very good. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Some areas of the historic port area of Marseille felt a bit seedy and unkempt but we never felt unsafe. There is graffiti EVERYWHERE but this is a comment more about Marseille and not the hotel itself.

Lovely big modern rooms and spotlessly clean.

The street outside is a bit rough looking but turn the corner at the end of the street and there’s plenty of good restaurants and 10 mins walk to Port.

The hotel is ideally located and close to everything, including tram, metro and bus stop. The hotel is immaculate and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are of a good size and once again very tidy, the only slight issue is the road noise, but if you want to be in the city this is the price you pay. Having said that the windows are double glazed and the bed very comfortable, so sleeping was not an issue. I have stayed at many international hotels around the world but this is up there with the best for cleanliness and decor. Didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment. I would not hesitate recommending this hotel.

I was impressed with the cleanliness, which is important to me. The continental breakfast was very good. The best croissants I had in France during my 2 weeks.

The location wasn't exciting but that was okay because we could walk where we wanted to go. It probably helped keep the costs down which was a good trade-off. We never felt unsafe although we were told of areas to avoid which we did. The Hotel did not readily have recommendations of where to go and what to do. I think it is because they are a new hotel and not quite established. A list of very good restaurants would have been helpful because we were left to gamble - some were good, some not so good.

Lovely boutique style hotel, central location, short walk to the port where all the restaurants are located. Lovely, caring and friendly staff who go out of their way to make residents feel welcome! We hadn’t booked breakfast and we were kindly invited to enjoy it free of charge during our stay. Every night upon return, we were offered a bottle of water going to bed! Very welcoming hotel and I would highly recommend! Great value for money.

Fantastic boutique hotel in an excellent location, walking distance to all the major sites. Short walking distance to excellent restaurants. Felt like home away from home with lovely staff, who were very happy to make recommendations for where to eat and where to go. Would definitely stay again!

One of the best hotels in its price category that I've seen during my travels in Europe. Spacious main room and bathroom, high ceilings, large windows, nice style/design, everything looks and feels brand new and clean. Welcoming staff, as well. My stay was short, but I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We loved the decor and cleanliness of the room. The air conditioning was great, and a welcome relief from the heat outside. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. The included breakfast for us was nicely varied and a great way for us to start each day. It’s also within walking distance of lots of great bakeries, restaurants and the old port.

The lighting on the staircase could be a little more sensitive, often the light would only turn on once you’d gone up the steps.
