We had a wonderful stay at The Tango Hotel Taipei Jiantan. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly professional, welcoming, and helpful. They made check-in a breeze and offered thoughtful recommendations about nearby attractions and local eats. Their friendly attitude and attention to detail made us feel right at home. A special shout-out to the housekeeping team—our room was consistently spotless, well-stocked, and refreshed with care every day. The team was discreet yet thorough, and it was clear they take pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. The location near Jiantan MRT is extremely convenient, and the room amenities (including a spacious bathroom and soaking tub) made our stay very comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei—especially if you value great service and a very clean, well-run hotel!

The hotel is very conveniently located infront of Jiantan Train Station, which is a direct line to popular tourist places like Taipei 101 and Danshui Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel is a short walk away from the Shihlin Night Market and also has cafes (Starbucks, Louisa Coffee), convenience stores (7/11, Family Mart) and local breakfast shops all within walking distance. The hotel staff were very helpful with queries and assisting us with booking taxis to various places. The rooms came with a microwave which was super useful for heating up food from the nearby convenience stores or leftovers from the day before.

Not a complaint but something to note before you book/stay here is that the hotel does not provide disposable amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, shavers etc. So it is best to bring your own before you stay here.

Most high-tech experience hotel stay I have lived in. 1) Best toilet experience - It has a smart toilet bowl, warm toilet seat, bidet, auto lift toilet seat, etc. Bathtub with jacuzzi, and mini TV screen with cable TV. Rainshower & showerhead. 2) 3 TVs in the room. Two in the bedroom, and one in the walk-in area. All with cable TV. 3) There is a small massage chair for those tired bodies after walking a lot at the night markets. 4) 10mins Walking distance to Shilin night market. Jiantan MRT is just at the door area. 5) Cable TV, lighting, and curtains are all remote-controlled. 6) Great mountain view with a big balcony. 7) Complimentary undergarments n socks laundry service. 8) Staff is well trained, helpful and polite.

1) The walkway is a bit small and a bit hard to open our luggage. 2) The breakfast options are a bit limited. 3) Not many facilities in the hotel only a gym and pool.

I recently stayed at The Tango Hotel Taipei Jiantan. The hotel is in a great location, right next to the MRT station. The room itself was spacious, clean, and functional. The breakfast was good, but the price was a little too much. If you plan on staying more than five days, you might want to look at other options.

I didn't feel the friendliness of some of the staff at the Tango Jiantan hotel. If they could smile more, it would make travelers like me feel more welcome. The lighting in the room was poor, and it was difficult to find separate switches for individual lights. Also, the floor was very slippery, especially near the pantry.

I loved the ease of access to Jiantan MRT station. We did drive around a lot and since we were staying near relatives, they also drove around a lot. I would say that if you are driving though, the roads around Yuanshan and Jiantan are pretty confusing. The room was comfy, the amenities were fine, and there was a lot of storage space. It was probably the most storage space I've ever had in a hotel so it was really nice to be able to tuck everything away.

It's definitely a pricier stay but I suppose you pay for the convenience.

The hotel is nice and comfortable. Was relatively clean but found weird stains on their teabag. Like the space of the rooms.

The jacuzzi was not really working as it should be. Some loose tiles in the bath tub. Might need to do some regular checks for safety. I stayed at level 7 and it took 10 mins to allow the water to run before having warm water for shower. If you book multiple rooms for family and they happened to be on different floors, there is an inflexibility to move from floors to floors to go to family room.

Staff’s responsiveness, hotel’s location, the lobby’s and rooms’ cleanliness, and the beautiful view. I booked a couple of rooms - a sky suite with a balcony and another mountain view suite which ended up bigger than I thought it even had a washer/dryer. Since I was travelling with a baby and a couple of seniors, I had so many requests prior to the trip that the staff ensured to address promptly and adequately. We stayed for 4nights on one of the busiest weeks of the year and certainly enjoyed coming back to a spotless room every day. Each room is facing the mountain so you can be sure to wake up to a peaceful sight each morning. There’s a highly rated ramen place (and for good reason) at the block’s corner before crossing the main road towards the Shilin Night Market, which is around 10 mins away by foot. The Jiantan station along the red line is across the hotel’s entrance, just a minute walk away.

Nothing. Everything was perfect, we’ll stay here again!

Tango continues to be my final stop whenever I come back to Taiwan yearly. It’s usually the first stop as well ( where I deposit my luggage and go backpacking out) . The streets behind are a hidden gem. Don’t just go for shilin night market ( which is overrated) but go for the local alley shops. Beds are super clean, mattress is excellent, pillows amazing, facilities are just good. Perfect resting spot after a hard day of holiday walking and shopping.

Very comfortable room, great bed, superb shower and very pleasant view on the Mountain. Great toilet with 26 function buttons—all indicated in Chinese but the graphics help!

Lousy TV programme selection ( no international news channel, some Asian sitcom and translated US 3-rate movie channels, duplicated channels etc.), standoffish front desk staff (it should not be too difficult to teach them to greet guests when they come in and go out) with the exception of one young guy who helped us find theatre tickets, lack of variety for breakfast (but very friendly staff in the breakfast room)

Really nicely designed room and bathroom. Very clean, new. The bathroom has a separate shower and tub. There is a large glass partition between the bathroom and bedroom, but you can put down a shade for privacy. However, some people may find this inadequate. Bedding high quality. You can see the lush mountainside from the room. The MRT station is right across the street.

The staff could have been a little more welcoming. They barely smiled at us and didn't greet us whenever we entered the hotel. But they are young and perhaps learning the hotel business.
