Very clean, quiet so a good night sleep (it’s quiet from 10pm in the rooms 😊), a nice chill out cafe on the ground floor and another room on the first floor which is easier to work as it’s quieter, good WiFi, friendly staff, 3 cats (they are very shy) and the odd dog which comes into the cafe 😊, very friendly staff, free water refills, Very good price and decent location with 7-11 and the MRT close

The hostel is quiet hot during the day and you pay for towel hire (may be that’s normal in Taiwan, all other other countries normally they are provided)

Cozy, nice little hostel, just a seven-minute MRT ride from Taipei Main Station, within a few minutes of Yuanshan metro station and easy reach of convenience stores, restaurants, and a night market, surrounded by lively streets and a lovely park for a beautiful balance of greenery and city life. The hostel was clean, and the rooms were spacious. The dorm room has big windows, whereas the other one only has a smaller window, be warned. The bathrooms were also clean and easy to use, as well as equipped with hygiene products (sanitary pads, dental floss, cotton buds) and hairdryers. The hostel also provides slippers (good quality ones that won't melt in the shower, but you don't get to take them away), which are also numbered so it's easy to find yours. It's a small detail, but I was definitely glad not to have to guess like it happens every so often. There are two common spaces: a café on the second floor and a room on the roof on the fourth floor. Depending on which one you choose, there's plenty of variation between couches, chairs with tables, beds, etc. There's also plenty of entertainment material (travel guides, coloring books, a guitar, etc.). I absolutely loved hanging out on the roof, it's a comfortable space with an amazing atmosphere. The café downstairs (first floor) closes after 6 P.M., and you can also stay there both during opening hours and later. There are also two lovely cats, which was a definite plus for me, but if you have allergies, know that they roam around the café quite a bit. I personally prefer smaller hostels and quieter environments, so if you're looking for a typical youth hostel to meet big groups, this is not it. What it is, is a great place to rest and relax, with good company if you go out of your way to talk to people, and the opportunity to be by yourself and unwind otherwise. Definitely explore the surroundings and see a few snippets of daily life and Taipei events at Expo Park.

Washing machine and dryer are coin-activated and quite expensive, and they both need a lot of 10NTD coins, which not everyone has lying around. The girl at the desk was lovely and broke my bigger banknote, but considering the above-average price of the hostel, it would've been nice to have laundry be more accessible. This wasn't a problem for me, and the hostel warns you very clearly, but this property does NOT have an elevator, so be prepared to take the stairs. If you have very heavy luggage, be ready, and unfortunately it doesn't seem disability-friendly at all.

The bed was comfortable and it was convenient to have the lockers near the beds. The common area was spacious and nice.

The temperature in the rooms was a little too hot. The bathrooms seemed slightly cramped and there were limited shower stalls.

Impeccably clean, bathrooms and dorms alike. Cute common areas, even though there wasn’t so much of a social vibe, people were mostly on their phone. They have a guitar and a mat and I enjoyed doing yoga on the rooftop. They also offer a booklet with hikes around the area. The hostel is in a good area, many things accessible by walking, MRT on the doorstep, just like uBikes (best way to get around Taipei!).

Most accommodations in Taiwan love their rules, but this one really stood out. The lady working there was quite inflexible.

Great beds, bedding (possibly the best mattress, duvet and pillow ever!), fantastic layout and lots of different spaces for mixing up your work/social interactions. Very clean, staff super friendly and helpful. Generally ok WiFi. Good availability of drinking water and an absolutely lovely cafe downstairs (all shared spaces were fantastic). Lots of natural light, the bed bunks were private, and some, like mine, had the locker adjacent to the bed so you could access everything in private (if you travel with a small bag).

Sadly it’s on a busy road and has both overground mtrs and planes passing by super close. The noise was significant, but not too bad compared to the perks, and you get used to it. More of a downside was the air pollution from the heavy traffic, and no proper air filter system present (yet!). There is also no real kitchen though there’s a microwave, and fridge and freezer so you can get by. Even so, I decided the perks were good enough, and the staff amazing enough, to return for a long stay after my first, but just be aware!

This hostel is in a very nice location! Its about a 6 minute walk to the nearest metro, and is only about 2 metro stops away from a very popular night market. The hostel itself was simple enough, the floor I stayed on had a womens only restroom and the bathroom (and bedroom) was always clean. The staff was also pretty accommodating with the check-in and check-out process, and when I asked questions about places to hike the lady at the desk was also happy to help me with that. Overall a satisfactory experience! I'd recommend this place for sure.

The cleanliness and vibe are great, and the location which gives easy access to green, commute (MRT is only five min walk away, and it's a comfy walk) shops and eateries. It's surprisingly serene and unlike the hostels in the CBD this one's not bustling at all. The cafe downstairs is another surprise, it gives a great vibe and discount. Cats and dog are friendly and unbothering. I sat there to work for an afternoon and I was liking it. I could see green and people occasionally walking by, soothing. Staff is helpful and great in general. The interior is chic in design and absolutely clean. Cafe area is a free space where takein food and beverage are allowed post-five in the evening. There's a comfy and spacious public area in the second floor which is altered from an old accommodation area. Toilet and shower room are clean. Shampoo and washer are provided. Stable wifi connection included. What's most satisfying is the rooftop with an open terrace and the table and a few seats, where you can enjoy your time with a great view, covering greens and cool undermetro walk, with majestic mountains on the far left. It's also the social area where you can meet a lot of cool ppl and international travelers. I met a lot of cool friends and we had a great night together drinking snacking, laughing and chatting. And the whole stay was in reasonable price. All in all, it was a 10 out of 10 experience, coming from a seasoned international backpacker.

My toothbrush and paste along with the cup while lost because I left it on the public rack by the toilet. There was no sign saying I shouldn't put it there and I saw other personal objects on it but they were gone overnight. But I know the same stuff who did the cleaning who helped me retrieve my lost phone n wallet so it could have been my mistake.

Great hostel near Yuanshan station (red line). The beds seem overly firm but they're comfortable. There's a laundry machine and the internet is great. I'd stay again! The hostel is quieter and less busy than the more central hostels (near Taipei main station). It's close to the Taiwan Expo which always has some interesting event.

There aren't as many great vegetarian/vegan restaurants nearby and I found it hard to find healthier options. The hostel does not have a food waste bin.

The staff were super nice, friendly and speak English. Convenient location next to MRT station. Comfortable beds. Spacious lounge area on top floor. The cafe occupies all of 1F and part of 2F. It was nice that guests can sit in the 2F area of the cafe during the evening but during the day it is only for cafe customers. There were pet cats and dog in the 1F area, just take note if you do not like animals. A previous review in 2021 mentioned a full kitchen, however I only saw a microwave. Crockery and cutlery provided. Lockers available. Coin-operated (60TWD each) washing machine + dryer and clothes drying area upstairs.

As per other reviews, it is located on the corner of a busy intersection and near the airport so unfortunately there is quite a lot of road traffic as well as air traffic noise. Not too bad overnight, still managed to sleep well. No footwear allowed in the dorm rooms - even the indoor slippers provided are not allowed in the rooms. Considering there is a cafe downstairs, it would have been a nice bonus to offer complimentary coffee and tea to hostel guests.

Great location in charming Yuanshan area. Felt like a perfect spot to be. I only wish I’d stayed longer. The hostel is clean and bright. Staff was helpful and friendly. Perfect place to stay and great value. Bedding was clean and felt surprisingly high quantity.

The bed was extremely hard so if you don’t like that I guess that’s a negative aspect. Pretty unsocial vibe.
