Jonathann the owner, was very welcoming and explained everything I needed to know clearly. My room, sheets & towels were all spotlessly clean and of good quality. Breakfast was served by a very 'happy chappy' and was freshly cooked to order, which makes a huge difference compared to some of the larger hotels where its all self serve and luke warm. This privately owned hotel has a friendly personal feel to it and the views from numerous areas are really lovely . Thank you for a lovely stay, I will definitely be back again :)
I really don't have anything to put here

Johnathon is an excellent Host very welcoming and available to help with any queries etc. Breakfast was lovely. Staff very friendly would Book again.
Room was lovely for me and my dog. However the Tea making facilities were difficult to use as on a high shelf which was on a slant and did not appear safe which concerned me as if mug slipped me or the dog could have been scolded, but my fault should have mentioned to Johnathon but forgot. Parking a bit of a nightmare, but i knew there was no Parking but having a bad Hip and Cancer means i have to drive so Parking can be an issue in the future. However if my Best friend comes with me next time she is great at finding a space lol. Very sociable friendly Hotel one to return to.. Anna.

I was very happy with my room. it was compact, but had everything that I wanted. The view from the window of the sea and the pier was brilliant. The bed was comfortable and the coffee/teamaking facilities were most welcome. I was very happy with the choice available for breakfast and the quality. I particularly enjoyed eating the bacon which I would call 'proper bacon' not what you usually get served in hotels. The owner of the hotel was friendly and welcoming and all the staff that I met during my stay were brilliant.
Nothing that I can think of.

Everything you could possibly need. Excellent location ,free on road local parking, Overlooking the beach , great outside seating area , great choice of 80s music playing. Richmond Hotel is very homely clean and inviting . Jonathan made myself and my dog very welcome , he was extremely polite , friendly , helpful as was Steve who served breakfast the following morning . Room No 10 was perfect….. with a great view of the beach.. Really pleasant room, great shower and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I also have to say the “Full English Breakfast” was the best I’ve had in a long time.

Situated in a great location overlooking the beach and pier at the north of the town. Easily reached on foot from the train station in around 20 minutes or a very short hop in a taxi. Well looked after and maintained 'traditional' British seaside hotel. Been upgraded with modern shower and toilet facilities ( our room still had the sink and bathroom cabinet in the bedroom ) which obviously means the bedroom area itself has decreased. Rooms at the front of the property would have great views over the coast. There is even a lift so no struggling up or down stairs with you luggage. Breakfast was again traditional full English style, freshly prepared to order, along with various cereals, toast, jam and marmalade and served up with tea or coffee and fruit juice. Very approachable and accommodating owner and friendly, attentive and polite staff.
As always in properties of this age in these sort of locations upkeep is a constant chore. There are various little cosmetic touch ups required but predominantly minor and insignificant and certainly do not detract from the overall sense that the property is well maintained and cleaned.

Traditional bed and breakfast overlooking the promenade and view of the pier. Proprietor, Jonathan went out of his way to make sure everything was as good as it could be. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean and I appreciated the effort made to "pep up" an establishment that is not a modern one. I particularly liked the arial drone shots of Weston-super-Mare playing on the screen in the bar.
Fellow residents were a little inconsiderate by having fairly loud conversation at 2am. Not the fault of the hotel.

Though the hotel is in need of refurbishment, the outdated feel actually brought with it a sense of nostalgia of hotels I'd stayed at as a child. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was pretty much exactly what I was expecting for the price and fulfilled its purpose.
Lighting in the room felt a bit dingey and had an occasion flicker to it. Electric shower looked like it's on it's last legs, did though perform to a somewhat acceptable level. However I did have to go out and buy shower gel and shampoo as none were provided.

The view from the room was fabulous made the room worthwhile. Room adequate for my needs but on reflection maybe would have considered a balcony one if affordable for me to enhance stay. The breakfast was wonderful. The host Jonathan and main staff attentive. Loved my stay in Weston Super Mare. Would go back but different room preferred next time.
To be honest room adequate but mattress was not ultra clean underneath surface stumbled on accidentally. Room needs bit more attention. Glimpsed cleaning of other rooms going on looked far more loved.

We booked 6 rooms for a family celebration weekend. The staff were so friendly & welcoming to us all. Nice freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Hotel bar was amazing value. Excellent location along the beach front. Really easy to get to everything we wanted. Handy carpark outside the hotel (£14 for 24hrs).
If you're looking to book multiple rooms it's easier to book direct to ensure you get the right number of beds you want in each room, when travelling with children. Not the hotels fault, just a tip for people booking.

Felt very welcome and looked after. The room had everything I needed and a fantastic sea view. Good to have a bar downstairs. The breakfast was very good and piping hot. A great location for all of local things to do.
The Richmond Hotel was what I expected so can't really have any negatives.
