The hotel was in a perfect location, staff were lovely and friendly, breakfast superb and the extra mile they went with eoviding dog bowls and a dog bed for my dog were very unexpectedbut very much appreciated

Shower was a little weak and couldn't get the temperature to settle right

Always a pleasure to stay at the Lauriston. Location perfect, staff lovely, room nice &warm & comfy, parking a bonus. Nothing not to like ! Oh, & the breakfasts tasty & nicely presented. Love it all.

I loved the hotel, it felt very welcoming, we were treated very well, nothing was too much trouble, the room was just right for us, always hot running water, and the lovely housekeepers always were happy to fit in with our morning routine. Sally, our dog settled very happily too. The garden was lovely, and diligently tended by the friendly gardener. The location was great as it was central and everything was nearby. We hope to return, hopefully next year.

The only fly in the ointment was the boy racers, tearing up and down aimlessly to show off, they were very noisy!

We had a truly lovely stay at the Lauriston Hotel in Weston-super-Mare. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. Free onsite parking made arrival stress-free, and check-in was quick and smooth. Our room was charming, with views over the seafront, hotel garden, and car park—perfect for watching the world go by. Breakfast was excellent, with high-quality ingredients and generous portions. The bar was relaxed and well-stocked, and we enjoyed lunch on two days—great sandwiches and cheesy garlic bread that hit the spot. The hotel is wonderfully dog-friendly. Our four dogs were made to feel genuinely welcome, which made a big difference to our stay. The location is ideal—right on the seafront and close to great eateries, including some fantastic micropubs and microbreweries we were glad to discover. But what truly sets the Lauriston apart is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and always happy to help—no request was too much trouble. Their warmth and professionalism made our visit memorable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Provision of dog towels at the entrance so our dog could be cleaned off before entering, much appreciated. Excellent breakfast selection and good full English breakfast. Seafront position.

Cleanliness of eg paintwork in bathroom left something to be desired. Had to prop open the bottom sash window in the bathroom with a talc container as the mechanism to keep it open was broken .Not able to shut the bedroom window completely and very difficult to close it at all as it sprung fully open on its own and reaching it to close it was a challenge. The noisiest water heater in the shower I have ever encountered , decibel level ridiculous and irritating. Overall the hotel is in need of redecoration and updating or at least a very good clean of existing paintwork , it is looking somewhat tired and shabby especially externally.

GLUTEN FREE BREAKFAST VERY GOOD. NICE ROOMS WITH PLEASANT FURNISHINGS. EXCELLENT LOCATION.

FOR ME PERSONALLY, MAYBE A CHOICE OF DIFFERENT MILKS, AS NOT ABLE TO HAVE COWS MILK. WOULD SAY THE SAME FOR COMPLEMENTARY BEVERAGES ETC IN ROOM, IT WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVE ALITTLE MORE CHOICE, FOR PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES ETC. THE ONLY REAL NEGATIVE THAT I CAN UP WITH, IS THAT THERE WAS NO FULL LENGTH MIRROR IN THE ROOM AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD IF NOT TO HAVE A GLASS, THEN A SECONARY SECOND PLASTIC CUP (FOR USE BOTH IN THE BATHROOM AND BEDROOM).

the staff were friendly and welcoming to us and our little dog. Our disabled room was comfortable and gave us everything we needed. The hotel is right by the beach and there were wonderful, level walks for my partially sighted husband to enjoy.

Our only complaint was the meal system, we were offered a late breakfast sitting, which suited us as my husband takes quite a long while to get ready. Sadly the cooked breakfast and coffee were under par, it seemed it was prepared for the early sitting and kept warm. My continental breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were very obliging, just long brewed coffee and kept warm bacon was disappointing.

I was visiting Weston for a weekend work event at The Winter Gardens. I wanted a cost effective stay near the exhibition venue and The Lauriston was ideal in both respects. My room was very clean, tea/coffee/toiletries were provided and any noise in the evening came from the public outside, not other guests coming in late. There was a range of options available for breakfast and my eggs were perfectly cooked on both days. Dinner on Saturday was very nice and beautifully presented. All the staff were very friendly and no request was too much trouble. The service was excellent.

The decor in some areas is a bit tired and could do with a refresh but that didn't spoil my stay. Choosing dinner options at breakfast time is requested if you're going to be out all day - not always easy early in the morning, but that helps keeps costs down and for me, that's fine.

I was travelling with my mother who has dementia. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming when we arrived. My mother uses a stick and walker so the staff showed us an alternative route to our room which was easier for her. The breakfasts were lovely with a good choice of food. My mother takes ages to eat but the staff never pressured us to leave the restaurant which I felt was very understanding of the situation. The location is great with just a few steps to the seafront...lovely.

Unfortunately whilst we were staying there was a power cut in the street which affected the hotel as well. However that evening they allowed us to order in a takeaway Chinese meal and sit in the restaurant whilst we ate it ! I would of liked to of been able to prebook a parking space in the front carpark as my mother is a blue badge holder and struggles to walk too far. On one occasion I had to double park which concerned me but there was no choice.

Great location and size of hotel as not too large. Room sizes generous and pleasant decor. Breakfast choices and quality really good. Staff all friendly and professional. Lovely grounds and gardens with free parking for residents.

In need of further refurbishment as tired in places, particularly in corridors. Blown wooden surfaces around the sinks a little unsightly. Noisy at times due to loud motorbikes driving up and down the main road. Beds on the soft side. No chairs in the room we had on our return stay over. The initial room we had when stopping over on our way to Cornwall had chairs but not very comfortable as more like conference chairs. Need to have useable mirrors too.
