The hotel was in a perfect location, staff were lovely and friendly, breakfast superb and the extra mile they went with eoviding dog bowls and a dog bed for my dog were very unexpectedbut very much appreciated

Shower was a little weak and couldn't get the temperature to settle right

Always a pleasure to stay at the Lauriston. Location perfect, staff lovely, room nice &warm & comfy, parking a bonus. Nothing not to like ! Oh, & the breakfasts tasty & nicely presented. Love it all.

the staff were friendly and welcoming to us and our little dog. Our disabled room was comfortable and gave us everything we needed. The hotel is right by the beach and there were wonderful, level walks for my partially sighted husband to enjoy.

Our only complaint was the meal system, we were offered a late breakfast sitting, which suited us as my husband takes quite a long while to get ready. Sadly the cooked breakfast and coffee were under par, it seemed it was prepared for the early sitting and kept warm. My continental breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were very obliging, just long brewed coffee and kept warm bacon was disappointing.

The Hotel and the staff were very helpful with a slight hiccup that was resolved within minutes Able to check in before the time slot which helped as kids were dying to get on the beach . Perfect location for getting to the beach and easy walking distance to the pier . Parking was available though it was first come luck of the draw .

Customers from the hotel across the way were using this car park which makes it difficult to park . Not the hotel's fault but the noise can be a bit annoying outside due to the pub across the road and seems the locals do like driving the strip with loud exhausts and motorbikes again nothing the hotel can do .

All team so friendly and welcoming to both myself and Buddy the Frenchie , we have stayed in several dog friendly hotels. However, this is by far genuinely the best for how they care for the pooches Buddy loves the beach ! It's fab that the hotel provides doggy towels special mention to the chef who overheard me saying Buddy was off his food, so kindly brought out some ham to mix in with his kibble. Breakfast service as usual amazing ! Lovely food and equally lovely service by both Ellen and Shaun Ongoing work on outside of property is looking good Excellent standard of cleanliness in the two different rooms I stayed in housekeeping team you work so hard Outstanding meal in hotel which was extremely good value top chef !! Found the service great too We look forward to our next stay

Some hand sanitizers empty within hotel and dog poo bin outside needs to be emptied more regularly

Great ham for breakfast. Location great very close to Grand Pier. Overall typical English 3 star hotel with the specific English hotel smell, nice carpet everywhere throughout the hotel

Buffet little poor but that reflects the price I paid so no disappointment. Hard to criticise anything really, maybe the fact you have to book a breakfast time slot which I didn't like. Room was very comfortable but was too hot so I had my window open as the heat was really uncomfortable but still better than being cold. Parking limited so be prepared you might not be able to park in the morning or evening

Perfect location. Really dog friendly. Fabulous room (G1). Very quiet, far better than we expected. One of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. Easy parking and ideally suited for beach, pubs, shops cinema etc. Very reasonably priced drinks in the bar. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Evening meal was below par. The main was acceptable, but certainly not the best. The dessert was diabolical. In fairness, I did ask to have it removed from my bill, and we actually had the price of 2 desserts waived, which I thought was very generous. I wouldn't eat there again, but it didn't deter, from what was otherwise, an excellent stay at a very good price. Breakfast was adequate, plenty of choice, but just not the best quality fayre.

The hotel is in a great location for the town and for the seafront - couldn't be nearer to either of them. The staff were superb - the lady on Reception when I arrived was extremely helpful in suggesting alternative places to park as the car park was full, and the staff we met at breakfast were also very friendly, polite and professional. The breakfast itself was very good. The hotel has an interesting history which is worth looking up.

The car park was full but I managed to find a place to park next to the hedge at the entrance, as other people had done. I gather it is not usually as busy. The bedroom decor could do with a refresh and the beds were not very comfortable, but the bathroom was spacious, and very nicely done, and had clearly been updated.

The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival. The hotel was clean and tidy with plenty of chairs and sofas to sit on in the bar area. There was a good choice of beers, wines and spirits available. The waiting staff at breakfast were attentive and quick at serving you a fabulous cooked breakfast with a choice of eggs. There were plenty of pastries, ham and cereal to choose from as well as juices. Having stayed at other hotels nearby, this beats them hands down. We stayed in a twin bedded accessible room with wet room. Will definitely be back to stay in this gem when in the area.

Parking is an issue. Not much parking onsite

The staff were lovely ,really kind and nothing was too much trouble. They went the extra mile and were all so pleasant and helpful.I had taken a lady who had difficulties with mobility and the hotel accommodated her in a large room with an en-suite wet room. Lift access and plenty of handrails .The rooms were clean,warm and comfortable. There were a number of solo travellers with whom staff were so friendly and engaging in conversation. Dogs welcomed too ,which was great and careful attention given so that people who had dogs were seated in the lounge for breakfast ,away from others who perhaps may not be dog lovers.
