This was a last minute booking for 2 nights.When we arrived we were met by a very pleasant and helpful member of the team. Explained the parking, which was free, and explained the times of breakfast and dining information. Gave clear instructions on where our room was located and offered further help if required. A good start to our weekend. The hotel is opposite the beach, a great location, and there is a good sitting area outside which is roomy, clean and tidy where you can eat and drink. Our room was lovely. It was a great size and very clean and comfortable. There was a kettle with a large quantity of tea,coffee, and milk available and complimentary bottles of water. It was a very quiet room and although it was located at the side of a car park and over a restaurant/pub we had no disturbance at all. I would highly recommend staying here.

The staff were very welcoming ,polite and lovely people,the room was adequate clean and sea view ,my only gripe is the room could do with a mini fridge or fridge ,and the only place to fill the kettle was the bathroom ,it would of been great to have cold storage for drinks and water ,but overall it was a lovely room comfortable clean bed (checked with blue light lol 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻just saying) we will definately go back for another stay again ⭐⭐⭐thank you to the staff for a nice warm welcoming and stay ,

Needs a fridge in the room for cold drink storage and water , had to use bathroom tap to refill the kettle 😞😞😞

In my opinion, Marston's Old Colonial is THE place to stay in WSM and definitely the best one. We have been coming to this place for years and have also tried various other accomodation in and around Weston.Most of them did not reach the same level of quality for various reasons (lack of comfort, distance to the centre...) This one is located on the esplanade with gorgeous sea view and it provides private parking space. Nice staff, outstanding rooms and room facilities, scrumptious breakfast, tempting bar with a large choice of beers and entertainment, what else can you make happier ?

As stated in email out dated and needs a freshen up and cleaning could be a lot better mould in-between tiles can be removed, stains on carpet, understanding new manager who seems to know what his doing great service off manager good vibe love the sensory toy area and I think he will whip the OC into shape and give it a new lease of life. cleaning needs to be improved as I felt it let it down.

Location fabulous, bed super comfy with amazing bedding. Best pillows and duvet ever, like sleeping in a cloud. Staff really friendly, fabulous sea view from room 3.

Booking.com made an error in the listing online as room stated 2 x sofa beds plus 1 double bed. There was only 1 sofa bed so we had to share as I bought my daughter and grandson. This was no fault of the hotel but an error from Booking.com unfortunately. No escalator so unsuitable for disabled people sadly. I have a badly arthritic knee and the stairs took it out on me a little. But still a lovely stay with good room with a sea view.

We had a 1 night stay over on our way down to lands end Cornwall. We really enjoyed our stay at the old colonial. We received a free upgrade to a Seaview room upon arrival and free parking which is a bonus. The staff are very friendly and the food was nice with a variety of options. We did not have the Breakfast as we had forgotten it was included. The room was clean and presentable. We would definitely return here in the future. Very close to all the shops and the local amenities. Very Good.

The only fault I can report is the externally sea front balcony at room level could do with sweep and clean.

Very clean rooms. Tea and coffee, TV, good shower and bath tub. Lots of storage and space. No aircon but windows did open. Excellent view of the beach and pier. Breakfast was good Staff excellent Free car parking Looks like the place is being spruced up, outside was clean and is being painted

Mattress too soft, needs replacing. May be noisy in height of tourist season if the windows are open as there are lots of bars close by

A last minute plan for a night away - literally booked at 9am and were on our way by 10. Great value room, sea view, excellent comfy beds - the main reason we return time and again. A change in manager and, I think, a change from being a managed pub had led to some changes in menu - a very limited menu for the evening but we found something we wanted and it was good food.

No longer am I able to use my vouchers here that I get for being a shareholder with Marstons - shame but we shall live!

This property is right on the sea front. The room was large clean and comfortable. It had a sea view from the windows. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pub below served food.

Unfortunately my husband is terminally and on oxygen. Unfortunately the room was up several flights of stairs which were a problem for him. The owner was very helpful and sympathetic as we were unable to stay more than one night.

All the staff are friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean and quiet during the night , the room was spotless and had both a shower and bath which is convenient as we have young children , the room was spacious and spotless , the staff go above and beyond for the guests , highly recommend , sea view was great especially after dark as you can see the pier lights 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
