The rooms were really spatious, clean and had a great view to the beach. Staff was super friendly and helpful throughtout our stay. Breakfast was delicious with multiple local and international options.

The hotel had far too few sun beds in relation to the number of guests, which resulted in people reserving the beds quite early and arriving somewhere after breakfast. Also, the sun beds were really uncomfortable (metal without cushions) and many of them were broken. The hotel would really benefit if they invested to new more comfortable and stylish ones, enough for the hotel capacity.

Hotel is centrally located amongst the street shops and restaurants. I chose it because it’s the best hotel in the area. Rooms overlook the sea. Excellent noise insulation from the street with door having special sealing, meaning it had to be pulled hard to close. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel and gardens/grounds. The lawn area facing the beach is so peaceful to lay back on a deck chair in the shade of the palm trees and listen to the sound of the sea and birds. Contrary to comments by others I saw no issue with the ravens. These birds are common across south East Asian. Breakfast selection was not extensive, unlike some large international hotel chains, but the Sri Lankan curries were so tasty and the bread rolls still warm I enjoyed the breakfast every day. Kassandra, Guest Relations Officer said the rolls were made by a bakery across the street. Lots of tv programs with 3 English movie channels. Nice pool and gym.

Room safe had an error message on several occasions meaning staff had to come and open it for me. Notwithstanding, the staff were very responsive and understanding when doing so.

The communal areas of the hotel are brilliant - the lobby is beautiful, good pool, lovely toilets in the pool changing area etc. For me the two standout parts of my stay were 1. The food selection. Breakfast was incredible, they accommodated my coeliac (gluten free) requirements and brought my gf bread and explained the options at breakfast. Room service meals were beautiful and again, clearly labeled menu and helpful staff taking my order. 2. The service received from every member of staff that I encountered. They were some of the kindest people I have ever met and they really made my stay great.

The rooms are below par for the rating of the hotel. Beds were comfortable, good towels, robes and amenities were good, but the room wasn’t totally clean (hairs on the floor when I first arrived and shower walls not clean higher up) and the paintwork is dated/ chipped in many places.

Absolutely loved my stay at Sentido! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully styled. I especially enjoyed the food – fresh, delicious, and with great variety. Whether relaxing by the pool or exploring the local area, everything about the experience was just right. Can’t wait to come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sentido Heritance Negombo, and I must say it was a memorable experience from start to finish. Located just a short drive from Colombo’s international airport, the hotel is ideally positioned right on the golden sands of Negombo beach. Check-in & First Impressions: The check-in process was smooth and welcoming. The staff were professional, courteous, and efficient. The lobby area is beautifully designed with a refreshing coastal aesthetic and open spaces that immediately give you a sense of calm. Room & Comfort: My room offered a stunning view of the Indian Ocean, with a private balcony to enjoy the sunset. The room was spacious, clean, and well-furnished with all modern amenities including a comfortable bed, smart TV, minibar, and luxurious bathroom. Housekeeping was consistently excellent throughout the stay. Dining Experience: The hotel’s restaurants offered a great variety of both Sri Lankan and international cuisine. The buffet breakfast was a highlight — fresh tropical fruits, traditional hoppers, and an impressive selection of Western and Asian dishes. I particularly enjoyed dining by the pool in the evenings; the seafood options were fresh and delicious. Facilities & Ambience: The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is the star of the property — perfect for relaxing under the sun. The spa services were also exceptional, offering a range of traditional Ayurvedic treatments and massages. The fitness center was well-equipped for a hotel gym. Service & Hospitality: The staff went above and beyond to ensure comfort. Whether it was room service, concierge, or restaurant staff, everyone was attentive, respectful, and genuinely hospitable — a true reflection of Sri Lankan warmth. Overall Impression: Sentido Heritance Negombo is a perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and local charm.

The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, free from disturbances, and very quiet. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. We spent the evening staring at the sky for at least two hours. The food is delicious, and the pool is large and spacious. The cocktails are sharp. Overall, it was a nice, relaxed stay! We even extended our stay for two days

Actually, there were no red flags at all! On the first day, the hotel was kind of empty, so the lights were off early, which makes sense. It was raining heavily too, so no one would be walking around. I thought it would be nice to have some lights in the garden. However, the next day we saw lots of guests, and the lights were on! So yeah!

We used as many facilities as we good during our stay. We used the gym and the pool. The breakfast was very good because there were many choices. Alongside the traditional breakfast were many other foods to try. The breakfast service was very good. I had the red curry and milk rice (which I had never had before). The rabutan fruit, similar to lychee was excellent.

Nothing, it was all good, especially as our stay was so short. We were able to enjoy everything in a short space of time - this is not an easy accomplishment in other places I have stayed around the world
