The property was nice, huge and spacious. They provided entertainment with the local Zulu dance crew. The staff was cheerful and of assistance. The stay was good, we enjoyed the activities around the area. They were fun and insightful.

The food buffet was almost always the same, no innovative or different menus. Also, l suffered from a tummy ache and runny tummy for days. The house keeping was ok but there is room for improvement. They can do better with the washing of towels and sheets. The sheets were especially yellow. Towels still had stains even though they were supposed to be clean and fresh. lizards entered our room, that made me uncomfortable but life continued.

exceptional buffet meals. Very helpful management. example - my family got stuck driving in the nearby part. The manager quickly organised rescue services within a short period on standby ready to go and assist. Fortunately they managed to get the vehicle back on road without necessity to send the rescue team.

The hotel is in a seasonally hot region and the chalets can use air conditioners in the common living room rather than just in bedrooms. Ironically, this will significantly improve comfort of stay. We moved our family from St Lucia hotel because of poor climate control during our holiday bringing them to Anew Hotel.

The small things count. My father-in-law had broken his foot the night before and couldn’t walk far on his crutches. The staff immediately offered him a ground floor room and despite not having a wheelchair (why would you?) they were willing to offer us an office chair with wheels to get him to and from the car and his room. The hotel is lovely. It has lots of areas to sit and relax and spend time with family.

The hotel is starting to show some age, and the bathrooms could do with a refit, as could the TV. The hotel has some water features that run all night and can be heard from the bedrooms. It was more like white noise so not overall a bother, only it wasn’t until the morning I worked out where the noise was coming from. My main ‘beef’ with ANEW hotels (we’ve stayed at 2 so far this holiday) is their meal choices. No vegan options, and no concern for allergies (very common practice in Europe to be upfront with these). The choices for vegetarian are limited and overall the food quite uninspiring. Although we loved the beetroot puree that went with the falafel burger (taking of the Tzatziki made it more vegetarian - but suspect that the bun is brioche (using egg and milk).

I really loved the natural lighting throughout the property, it made the entire space feel so warm and welcoming. The modern finishes and sleek design elements were also a major draw for me. Additionally, the property's location was perfect - close to public transportation, shops, and restaurants, but still quiet and private. The outdoor spaces were also beautifully landscaped and offered a great area to relax and unwind. Overall, the property had a great balance of style, functionality, and convenience.

Hot water were not available in the morning

Linda the manager was beyond helpful and friendly. We arrived on 1st Jan after a big party and we’re concerned about cleanliness and he personally walked us through the rooms to check for our satisfaction. Buffet breakfast and dinner was good variety and well cooked and presented. Air on was a winner and highly entertainment was great for Foreigners.

The property itself is a little tired with scuffed walls in the passageways and cracks in the tiling outside but the room are lovely and aircons work well.

Date : 06 jan 2024.Mdluli Family.I like everything breakfast and dinner was awesome, rooms, bed comfortable, the place is child friendly my kids enjo playground indoors and outdoors, but most of all they love swimming even during night night we really enjoy swimming. The Zulu dance that take place each and every day at 8hr tonight it was the best experience for my kids.

We didn't like the mosquitoes 😤 😒 if only they can put something to kill them each night before we sleep that would be better, shower water 🚿 the is not enough pressure. An improvement wil do.

Rooms were neat and beds were comfortable. The hotel was not too busy hence it was peaceful and enjoyable. The pool side was a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy a few drinks. Staff were quite friendly ,,housekeeping was really great and service was quick and impressive.

I was not impressed with the Ala Carte menu, the food ordered was fair but nothing to brag about. Seems to have been poor communication between waiter/waitress and chef as each time we ordered a meal, one of the meals were incorrect or either undercooked. Hotel needs to look at alternatives for dinner on Ala Carte menu as it was boring and very limited if you staying there more 3 or more days. There was no entertainment, live music /karaoke, games or activities, something that should be considered.

The staff was excellent and welcoming. My son enjoyed the Zulu dance 🕺 daily. The food was good.

The facility needs some bit of face lift. My wife complained about mosquitoes.Our room needed some maintenance, especially the bathroom( tap and toilet seat). Good place to stay for relaxation.

The property was absolutely beautiful, the level of comfort was satisfactory. Having the option of a buffet or ordering from the restaurant was absolutely great. I would definitely recommend ANEW hotel.

Yes you have laundry services, but for people staying for a short while who do not wish to use the laundry services, keeping an iron in the room for their own use would really come in handy

I was celebrating my 40th birthday party at ANEW Hluhluwe and I would celebrate every milestone of my life over and over again in Hluhluwe. From the initial planning stage with Senzo Mdluli (a very professional and resourceful person, whom I respect for upholding the values of the client management). As much as I was disappointed that reserving through booking.com did not have a complimentary breakfast, I would not let that ruin my overall experience. During the evening of the party, I had the support of Xavier and Mlungisi who made sure the guests enjoyed the dinner. I loved the rooms, and the fact that my family was upgraded to the Lodge was welcomed. I will visit again just to enjoy the hotel facilities for a longer period. Thank you to everyone who made my party memorable
