Our stay at Newport Channel Inn was genuinely wonderful. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. The entire place was spotless, and the room smelled so clean and fresh. The bed, the sheets, and every detail felt comfortable and well cared for. It had everything we needed without all the over-the-top extras that usually come with a $500 price tag. Simple, clean, and cozy—exactly what we were looking for. What really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly kind and helpful, especially when I had some debit card issues. They were patient, understanding, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was smooth and stress-free. Parking was easy, which is a big deal in Newport Beach, and overall, everything about this place was enjoyable. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants a clean, affordable, and friendly spot near the ocean.

This was a great place to stay for a short visit to Newport Beach. It was right across a large street from the beach, and next to a great place for breakfast. The staff was very kind, and lent us beach chairs, towels, and even a beach umbrella. The room was large and the bed was fine, and we had a coffee maker in the room, along with a small fridge and a microwave.

The room was a little dated, but that was OK. The window looked out on the parking lot which was the part the I had been expecting something nicer. But it is what it is. I would stay here again.

Beach, Restaurants, family near by. Everything we needed was walkable distance. Beautiful weather. Good coffee shop nearby, with very long line. Price good considering location. Unit had refrigerator and microwave. Bed was reasonably comfortable.

Would like a lighter blanket provided. I've learned to travel with my own light flannel sheet for a blanket as well as my own pillow. Electric wall plugs weren't near the head of the bed for phone charging.

The bed was very comfortable, the shower was good and warm, and the room was quiet and clean :) The location was also great, with a grocery store, restaurants, and the beach nearby. Special thanks to Diana, who helped me find an open place to buy a phone charger at night - saved my day! Very kind!

The only thing that wasn't good was that there was no cleaning room service, at least on the days I stayed.

Location A+ Was very comfortable and clean. I usually stay at the big hotels near the airport, so I was a little skeptical about renting a motel. I was very pleasantly surprised. I really liked being able to park my car right outside my room so loading and unloading was easy. There is a nice little park out back, which was wonderful when traveling with a dog. I liked being able to walk out the door with her rather than going down 14 floors and through the lobby every time my dog has to go. I will stay there again!

Could use some updating, particularly the TV. They had full cable, but I am very used to a smart TV that I can stream my own entertainment from my own devices and cast them to the TV.

Great value for location, cleanliness comfort and welcoming staff! walked to the beach! They offer free use of beach chairs, toys, boards and towels. Very comfortable and great for families. Great breakfast next door at Cappy’s.

Location was great. Access not far from everything Newport has to offer. Pretty clean place and the 3 beds were perfect for 3 guys. Don't see 3 beds for a normal hotel all too often. Both ladies at the front desk were very pleasant the few times we needed them.

We did spill some water on the floor and when we wiped it up with a towel, the floor was disgustingly dirty. Not a major thing, but something they should be aware of.

The loctaion was amazing, just one street over from the beach. Great breakfast place next door and several restaurants and small stores in walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff.

Narrow parking, not too many outlets to charge our electronic devices

Near to the beach. Free available chairs, boogie boards, and towels. Very clean. Well lit secure parking area.
