Location right next to the train station made it easier to lug bags back and forth for the one-night stay. Also quite close to tourist points of interest, including being next to start of Vernazza-Cornelia hiking trail. Waiting area (or coffee area or breakfast area) was very comfortable.

Room was too small to be comfortable. Also not sure if price was right or a bit high.

The property is conveniently very close to the train station. It is very clean and the staff are great, especially Evelyn who went over and beyond to help us print our train tickets for us. She also facilitated an early check in for us. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony, and it was great to sit out there enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. There is also a restaurant downstairs where we had drinks and snacks too. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pastries. The hotel operates an honesty system for drinks, and this is very handy if you need a drink and do not wish to go out. It is very easy to reach the beach area by just walking out of the hotel, past the train station and onto the main street all the way to the water. Although the train station is very close, we were not affected by the passing trains at all. In fact, we quite enjoyed watching them from our quint balcony! There are a few outdoor areas to sit and relax. However, were there in the cold weather and did not get the opprtunity to do so. We were really made to feel at home at the Pensione Sorriso, and we will happily return should next time we are in 5Terre.

This was a lovely stay at a quaint little B&B. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Rooms and bathrooms were very small but comfortable. Very close to the train station which was convenient but also noisy due to construction at the station

There was an electrical outage during the night (in winter) and so no wifi to contact the hosts to let them know. Unfortunately our breakfast which was included in the price then didnt happen either. Disappointing that there was no effort to make another plan for food nor offer of a refund. Host left and didn't come back....so we were stranded in the dark to check out and find a bite to eat before our long train trip.

Very friendly, welcoming staff who are eager to make sure you are enjoying your stay. Since we were the first guest to arrive that day, the Inn staff showed us three rooms to choose from. We chose the room facing the train station. I wanted to hear the trains running through and stopping at the station. Suffice it to say, it didn't bother us and we slept well. Excellent breakfast. Very convenient location; less than two minutes' walk from the train station.

Evelyn and Esther were amazing. Greeted us with such enthusiasm and were there to assist with our needs. Two very special ladies.

The property was perfect especially the location. My only complaint is the need for some type of shade that keeps out the very bright street lights that were shining in our room all night. The sheer curtains did nothing for that. Also, a larger trash can. It was not big enough to address our drink bottles etc.

The owner was very nice and friendly. It was close to the train station, but you couldn't hear the trains. Vernazza is a small village, so it was really close to everything. Room was decorated nicely, and all was new. The grounds were very nice.

The room and bathroom were a little small. Walls are thin...i could hear a child coughing all night. Complimentary breakfast wasn't as nice as the other places we stayed at on this Italy trip.

We booked this hotel based on some of the reviews that we read primarily based on the location, proximity to the waterfront, and a short walk from the train station. It definitely met and surpassed our needs. The room was very comfortable with a typical sitting balcony that you would expect to see in a quaint Italian town. The breakfast was very nice and satisfying with an assortment of things to quench an appetite. The best part of the hotel was the proprietor, Evelyn. She was very helpful in giving us information, booking a reservation for dinner and providing anything we needed. She made us feel like family.

I can't really say that there was anything negative about our stay.

Staying at Pensione Sorriso was like staying with family. We had a problem getting two of our family members to the hotel after the trains stopped running. Evelyn quickly jumped in to help us make arrangements for a ride. She ensured that they arrived safely at the hotel.

There are a lot of stairs, so guests need to be careful when going into and out of the room and hotel.
