I liked the location in front of the Beach Boardwalk. The man who worked the front desk was also very patient, kind, and helpful.

The main lot was very small with only about 8-10 parking spaces max. It wasn't very clear where else we were able to park when the main lot is full. I might've missed it, but maybe mapping directions for the other parking locations on the website or check-in papers may help. For example, I would've never known about the back parking lot being in the alley – I missed that turn three times searching for it until I asked the front desk for specific directions. Thankful for their patience on the matter!

Proximity to the boardwalk, just across the main boardwalk parking (5 min walk) allowing a full evening of rides till closure. Easy check-in with good advice for parking (easy right under our room). Appreciated the flexibility when reducing from 2 nights to 1 night less than 48 hours before check-in, and approving a refund with booking.com. Room was large and checked most our boxes for our quick 1 night stay. Shower was good. King size bed was comfortable and firm as desired. Quick delivery of additional towel when prompted with a smile :-)

The main room windows were street-side with very luminous outdoor wall lights. Luckily, we had a late evening and everyone crashed into bed after shower, but larger dark curtains should be set in that room if people want to sleep well in normal conditions. The light of day itself blasts through curtains early too.

I loved the location of this property!! Directly in front of the boardwalk all you have to do is walk across the parking! The family room itself was comfortable for my family of 5

The curtains in the room were not the best especially the one facing the parking lot, our kitchen area was in the parking lot side and they had thin see-through curtains that didn’t make us feel comfortable since people would be able to see inside if we left the lights on. Also they don’t put coffee or condiments unless you go ask them in the front lobby which I didn’t understand since most hotels provide those in the room.

There is one primary reason to book here - the location! The hotel is literally across the parking lot from the beach I did like that parking was included (the lot across the street is 25.00) and that there was a microwave and mini-refrigerator in the room, as well as an office chair and table. There is one of those mini single cup coffee makers in the room, but be aware that you have to go to the office to pick up coffee packets and cups. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the 'do not disturb' sign was honored :).

The hotel is older and rather worn, there was a bit of mold/rust in the bathroom, a very poor showerhead in the shower and while one doesn't go to a beach hotel for the TV choices, the available service literally contained almost nothing of dozens of duplicates of the same five infomercial channels. There was only a sheet and a thin blanket on the bed and as it was a cool foggy weekend I was quite cold. Be aware that there are no lifts at this three-story building if mobility is an issue.

The location was fabulous for the beach or boardwalk- but that’s not why we were there, so we didn’t really take advantage of it.

It was , understandably, a little noisy at night with the party animals up on the roof deck- but they were having a good time. So, it was positive noise, at least! It would have been a real treat to have been offered coffee in the office the next morning. It felt like something left over from the Covid days for nothing to be there at all.

This motel is literally right across the street from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. If you have pets the pet fee is just 20 dollars per pet per night. They provide free parking. Too bad no grass area for your pets when they need to use the restroom. You can take them across the street and they can do their business in the bushes. The wharf is just next to the boardwalk and maybe just a 5 minute walk. They got gift shops and restaurants on the wharf. We ate at Firefish Grill which we didn't carr for. The service was not good and our food came out warm and not hot. That wasn't cool. I would stay away from the FireFish Grill. We don't plan on eating at the wharf again because the food was overly expensive, bad service and seafood was not fresh. Going back to the motel they provide you plenty of towels but no tooth brush or tooth paste. I think you have to ask for it.

No dog park or a good area where there's an abundance of grass for my dog to use the rest room. I had to rely on the bushes across the street for my pet to go relieve himself.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is amazing! You can watch the lights on the Boardwalk at night, and watch the rides turn on in the morning. The hotel is comfortable and clean, which is what counts. If you need 5 star accommodation, this place isn't for you. If you want a clean place to set up camp so you can relax and enjoy Santa Cruz, this is it; a family-friendly place that allows pets! The price was reasonable for the room, the room was nice and big. Beds were comfortable. They have parking available, and there are spots in the back when the front lot gets full. All in all, a really solid place to stay when visiting Santa Cruz. This was our second time staying here! Will not be the last.

Nothing! I really liked our stay.

Our family stays here multiple times a year, and we are never disappointed. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and incredible location. Maintenance was friendly and very fast, too. Our AC unit malfunctioned and was stuck on cold while we were out during the day and dropped the temp in the room to 55. However, maintenance came immediately once I told them and fixed it on the spot!

A coffee maker is provided, but there is nothing to make coffee with. No coffee, cups, creamer, or sugar... just the coffee maker.

Very clean and location was great. Perfect for bringing a bike and riding the west cliff road. We had the room in the back corner so the window didn’t face the walk way it was very private.

You could hear a lot outside the rooms and the main road runs right in front but that’s an ok payout for the location.

Fairly nice place at a spectacular location, only about 100 yards to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was a decent room, clean, freshly painted, had a TV and we were in a suite with 3 beds!!

We didn’t give a perfect rating as it is a little dated looking and the beds and bedding were a little on the cheap side. Also, we were told to leave a remote on the bed to get fresh linens, but that didn’t work. There was a spot for a swimming pool that was paved over, and I like a heated pool for the kids. Not really a big problem with any of that, but it kept me from feeling I could give a top score.
