I loved the location of this property!! Directly in front of the boardwalk all you have to do is walk across the parking! The family room itself was comfortable for my family of 5

The curtains in the room were not the best especially the one facing the parking lot, our kitchen area was in the parking lot side and they had thin see-through curtains that didn’t make us feel comfortable since people would be able to see inside if we left the lights on. Also they don’t put coffee or condiments unless you go ask them in the front lobby which I didn’t understand since most hotels provide those in the room.

There is one primary reason to book here - the location! The hotel is literally across the parking lot from the beach I did like that parking was included (the lot across the street is 25.00) and that there was a microwave and mini-refrigerator in the room, as well as an office chair and table. There is one of those mini single cup coffee makers in the room, but be aware that you have to go to the office to pick up coffee packets and cups. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the 'do not disturb' sign was honored :).

The hotel is older and rather worn, there was a bit of mold/rust in the bathroom, a very poor showerhead in the shower and while one doesn't go to a beach hotel for the TV choices, the available service literally contained almost nothing of dozens of duplicates of the same five infomercial channels. There was only a sheet and a thin blanket on the bed and as it was a cool foggy weekend I was quite cold. Be aware that there are no lifts at this three-story building if mobility is an issue.

This motel is literally right across the street from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. If you have pets the pet fee is just 20 dollars per pet per night. They provide free parking. Too bad no grass area for your pets when they need to use the restroom. You can take them across the street and they can do their business in the bushes. The wharf is just next to the boardwalk and maybe just a 5 minute walk. They got gift shops and restaurants on the wharf. We ate at Firefish Grill which we didn't carr for. The service was not good and our food came out warm and not hot. That wasn't cool. I would stay away from the FireFish Grill. We don't plan on eating at the wharf again because the food was overly expensive, bad service and seafood was not fresh. Going back to the motel they provide you plenty of towels but no tooth brush or tooth paste. I think you have to ask for it.

No dog park or a good area where there's an abundance of grass for my dog to use the rest room. I had to rely on the bushes across the street for my pet to go relieve himself.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is amazing! You can watch the lights on the Boardwalk at night, and watch the rides turn on in the morning. The hotel is comfortable and clean, which is what counts. If you need 5 star accommodation, this place isn't for you. If you want a clean place to set up camp so you can relax and enjoy Santa Cruz, this is it; a family-friendly place that allows pets! The price was reasonable for the room, the room was nice and big. Beds were comfortable. They have parking available, and there are spots in the back when the front lot gets full. All in all, a really solid place to stay when visiting Santa Cruz. This was our second time staying here! Will not be the last.

Our family stays here multiple times a year, and we are never disappointed. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and incredible location. Maintenance was friendly and very fast, too. Our AC unit malfunctioned and was stuck on cold while we were out during the day and dropped the temp in the room to 55. However, maintenance came immediately once I told them and fixed it on the spot!

A coffee maker is provided, but there is nothing to make coffee with. No coffee, cups, creamer, or sugar... just the coffee maker.

Fairly nice place at a spectacular location, only about 100 yards to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was a decent room, clean, freshly painted, had a TV and we were in a suite with 3 beds!!

We didn’t give a perfect rating as it is a little dated looking and the beds and bedding were a little on the cheap side. Also, we were told to leave a remote on the bed to get fresh linens, but that didn’t work. There was a spot for a swimming pool that was paved over, and I like a heated pool for the kids. Not really a big problem with any of that, but it kept me from feeling I could give a top score.

The location of the motel is right across the street from the beach and the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, theme park, and arcade. The property also has a balcony that's open from 9am to 10pm. It was very quiet and the staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are small, we had booked the triple room it has 2 full beds and a TV, with fridge and microwave, then the extra room had a bed and a door to close it off. The bathroom was decent and has a shower and soap dispensers. Me and my family enjoyed our stay and would recommend for a 2-3 day family stay.

great location. wish there was more than one chair. Didn't find bathroom soap until end of trip. Coffee maker exists, but no coffee, no coffee cups, not enough water cups first night, second night though they were there. One of the towels was dirty, again, the second night had been fixed (and I didn't say anything about either of these issues). Anyhow, it is a great location, you can walk to the waterfront, watch the amazing volleyball players on the sand, and lots of good restaurants within walking distance as well.

Great location for visiting the boardwalk and downtown. Rooms were clean. Parking was available. Pets welcome.

Although our pet was welcome, there aren’t many spots to take our doggo to do his business. Smoking section (patio) has limited hours (10pm). Bathroom towels were low quality.

Happy with our stay! Bed comfortable, love the pillows, rooms clean, location to the boardwalk across the street is awesome. Celebrated son’s 8th birthday. We love that some rooms have extra bedroom for the kids. Fun animals painted on the hotel which my 2 year old loves. Cute decor for Christmas in lobby. Balcony outlooking the Boardwalk view is great we relaxed out there before our group headed out to the beach :)

In December, it’s cold, heater works but definitely runs colder. If the rooms had rugs that might make it warmer. Next time I’ll bring slippers 😉
