The Receptionist was excellent when we arrived later than expected [9 pm] she was very attentive and engaging, the instructions were clear, and the guidance on parking was very good. She came to check we were happy with our room. The hotel facilities are very good and exceptionally clean. The breakfast waiters were great and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We have stayed here before and would definitely stay again.

Although the furniture was beautiful and clean - I would love for hotels to return to those deep substantive armchairs. The modern look is great, but not that comfortable, especially if you want us to stay in the bar for any length of time. The computer in the business centre area was not working and the daytime staff didn't know when it would be repaired.

The staff are always helpful, breakfast was good and worth the money. Location is a bit tricky being right on St Nicholas Circle but once navigated it's not a problem. Biscuits and hot chocolate would be a nice addition to the room drinks tray.

A service charge being automatically charged to our restaurant bill. It was removed once I questioned it. I have no problem leaving a tip but would like to be asked first. The pillows were hard, unfortunately I didn't see the card advising that softer pillows were available by contacting reception. I know now for our next stay.

Mini bar, compl. water bottles. Free kitkat chocolates. Usb chargers. Extra mirror in bathroom. Safe in room. Free wifi..Good speed.

Slight smell in corridor initially. Rather small bedside furniture. Small room window. No water glasses in room . Only mugs. Lighting rather weak in room but sufficient. Sluggish TV.. & No satellite channels (cnn, bbc world, Bloomberg). No hotel slippers. (or robe) Basic, british breakfast. Not a great variety otherwise. Furniture basic. (No upmarket materials or design)

The room was spacious and comfortable and the atmosphere of the hotel very relaxed and welcoming. The breakfast was fabulous - as a vegetarian I particularly appreciated the added veg / chickpeas with the cooked breakfast. Most importantly though, the service, from all the staff we came into contact with, was exceptional. We felt very well looked after, and I'd like to give a special shout out for Francisco in the restaurant. Thank you all very much.

The parking arrangements were a small annoyance, as we had lots of luggage for a wedding. I don't know if the plan is to have parking available in the car park next to the hotel, but that would be appreciated.

Staff were all very nice and seemed to enjoy their work. They all had a smile on their face, which shows a good working culture as well. We had a very short stay as arrived at 1am and left in the morning at 11am, due to commitments but enjoyed the few hours we spent at the hotel. Room and hotel itself were very clean, breakfast was nice. Facilities in room were good, bottled water provided, tea and coffee making facilities included despite some reviews saying its not provided. We were pleasantly surprised during our stay here. We will definitely come back for another longer stay when visiting Leicester in the future.

Parking was on site with the NCP, but quite steep if you are staying long. A compromise between the car park and the hotel will make things even better.

The staff are exceptionally friendly, pleasant and helpful. They can't do enough for you, going out of their way to assist and ensure you have a great stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. They often have rooms fitted with a bath for an incredibly relaxing Epsom Salt soak for tired muscles (supply your own salts). The canteen, bar and lobby are well run, with delicious food to offer. The only thing missing is a tips jar on the end of the bar. Even housekeeping have a friendly smile and say hello. I love it here.

This hotel provides really good breakfasts, staff are brilliant, location is great for Leicester City centre while being convenient for the M1 motorway. Usually rooms are clean and comfortable. Bar food and Alex good

This is only time i have had an issue with this hotel, the room has 2 double beds which is good for families, this time one of the beds had sagged badly. The sink had a problem with a blocked/dirty overflow which smelt really bad (room 828). However, the staff changed our room after the first night. All businesses can have an issue, what counts is how they deal with them, the staff are great and Holiday Inn should be proud of them.

Excellent service, friendly and most helpful staff. Lovely accommodation. The staff go out of their way to assist and can't do enough to help you. Central location to the city. Food is very nice. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel... I like is so much, I've booked in for further stays.

Local knowledge helps as couldn't find way around the city centre for good restaurants as most appear to be fast/ junk food outlets. Getting into the city centre by road isn't much fun either. Hotel food, though good, is a little on the pricey side.

The staff are AMAZING!! We had to book a last minute stop over to break up a long journey and a few hours before arriving I messaged the hotel requesting a cot bed, Claire got back to me straight away ensuring something suitable would be ready for our arrival. When we got there we were told they could put us in a room with 2 double beds to make things easier for us, she also made us feel so welcome and relaxed after a long day. The breakfast staff were also amazing with our daughter. Fransico could see our toddler wasn’t eating anything we offered her so suggested to make her some pancakes with Nutella and brought them to the table for her. Breakfast options were great, lots to choose from and all very tasty. The hotel room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The NCP car park was right opposite the hotel entrance which was very handy. We would definitely stay here again. Very happy with everything

Comfortable bed, very clean room, excellent bath/ shower, staff lovely, pleasant, polite and professional. Lifts very good, roomy and quiet. Amenities good, iron, hairdryer etc. Food/ meals decent hotel standard, but pricey. Again the staff were a pleasure. Given a no to romantic place to stay as no attractive view, awkward to get to, built up location.

Parking a nightmare- lots of building work going on right next to the hotel, making it very difficult to drop off at reception- no on site parking available at all and the NCP car park right next to the hotel is expensive. The hotel has an arrangement with a car park some seven minutes walk away - no use to me as I am disabled so full price parking my only option. The building work also made the lobby extremely noisy and why the revolving doors could not have been closed is a mystery.
