We stayed for 4 nights, one on the top floor and 3 on the 1st floor. The location and views are great, as was having the car park. The room was spacious, fresh and clean. Loved the furniture for the balcony, blackout curtains and the size of the main bed! The balcony is a lovely warm sun trap, even on cooler days. I slept in the single bed and it was really comfy. The shower is AMAZING. The owners are so lovely, I'd stay again for sure!

The property is very central between the buzzing main street and marina, so there's a fair bit of noise from the foursquare behind and people idling their utes in front (closing windows helped). Although large, the room has limited storage to unpack. The single bed could do with a bedside table and lamp.

The room was large and spacious. The upper floor provided one large bed and one small bed, which was perfect for a small family. Each bed had its own heater. The bathroom was spacious with strong water pressure. There was a private parking space, and the location was in the heart of the city, within walking distance to everything, including a stunning lake view. Above all, the motel manager was a very kind lady. She enthusiastically offered to help us with our luggage and gave us a warm welcome. We were truly impressed by her.

We had a corner room which was very spacious with a stunning view over to a wharf and the water. Great to have air conditioning as it was hot at night. Loved having a generous balcony to sit out on. Big comfy bed and comfy armchair and couch, which can be rare. Very close to some lovely eateries

Only negative was the stairwell lights shine into the room at night, despite there being a blind. Feel there needs to be better seals around the door and small window that lead to the stairwell

Perfect location, right on the waterfront. Amazing sea views from the 2nd storey! You can sit out on the balcony. The bed was a super king - totally unexpected and very comfortable. Wonderful large glass shower and the whole room smelt fresh and was very clean. Felicity - the Motel Operator was friendly and helpful - even helping my friend surprise us with a Wedding Anniversary bottle of wine. Will definitely be our choice of weekend getaways in the future ☺️

The TV reception wasn't great.

Perfect location, right in the middle of everything you need. The bathroom is a little dated but was nice and clean. My favourite part about this place was the extras, nice branded soap, shower gel, a container for food, lots of hot drink options, many channels on TV, wifi is great just all round a very comfortable stay.

The bedding had a strong smell not sure if it was too much bleach or detergent but it wasn’t a nice scent to breathe in. The only reason we wouldn’t stay again otherwise I couldn’t fault!

One of our favourite accommodations and resorts. Lovely staff welcome. Sizeable first floor room with comfy bed and pillows. Balcony with a view to die for over the Akoroa harbour. I'd have happily stayed here a week (if time had allowed). We will be back for sure. Thank you.

No complaints from me

Standard Double Room with Sea View which was on the second floor. The room was spacious and generous with seating to watch TV, look at the wonderful view or utilise the free wifi on my devices. The bathroom was very big with a large mirror and an extra large shower with awesome water pressure, has 3 bottles on the wall providing body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The kitchenette provided everything that was needed to make breakfast and lunch. You could enjoy at the table and chairs inside or outside on the deck for al fresco dining. Convenient location right next door to a cafe, restaurant and the local Four Square supermarket. Parking is provided if you have a car, otherwise, everything is walkable, 10mins or less to restaurants, wharf, Ethel cinema, cafe & attractions like the Giants House. Flat screen TV offered Freeview and Sky Sport & Movie channels for those just wanting to stay indoors on those wet days. Hop skip and a jump onto the wharf to depart on the Fox 2 sailing ship to go see the Hector dolphins is highly recommended. Felicity & Murray and the other staff were exceptional with their customer service, friendliness and even treating everyone staying there on Easter weekend with Easter eggs.

Such a lovely hotel. Big room, great view over the harbour. We were on the top level though. The owner was very welcoming. While the kitchenette was a little dated, it doesn’t matter at all. every other feature was more than you’d expect with this price range. Great shower, quality fittings, great bed, comfy lounges. Super clean too.

Not much. A bit dated with things that don’t matter such as feature tiles. Who cares?

Great location right at the harbor yet quiet. Grocery, good seafood restaurant, excellent French bakery and local cafe around here corner. Easy smoke parking. Fantastic view from the balcony for all units. Large comfortable studio. The kitchen had enough glasses etc. to be useful. Very personable owner and staff. Helpful with suggestions.

No elevator. You have to go up one or two levels. Comfortable steps for us.

Lovely and clean.Handy location to bay,shops,restaurants, boat trips.Friendly host.Supplied us with hot plate, pan and spatula so we could cook breakfast. Microwave,kettle and toaster in room.

Bit disappointed with the view from the room.We had superior sea view could see the sea but there are low distracting buildings in front.
