Great location within walking distance of shops and multiple restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us tips on the best places to eat. Whilst the location was central our room was quiet and the beds extremely comfortable. The small kitchenette was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay.

We had an accessible room, and the only table was a high table with two bar type stools which made sitting at the table a bit difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

There was a supermarket within walking distance. There was no necessity to go out if we didn't feel like it. We were close to our son and his family, but not too close. The available facilities suited our needs. All staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A very relaxing time was had.

Excellent seaside location so close to all amenities and the beach!! We had a spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped unit which was also pet friendly, so our dog was able to join us on this family trip. We have stayed here previously but the new owners Tony and Sophie are incredibly friendly and welcoming, nothing was a problem, they’re just great! We will definitely be back.

Beautifully presented and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful! The room comes with two books that give you all the information you need about the ins and outs of the motel and all of the restaurants in the area very helpful! Love that transport is within a minutes walk and the beach is a few minutes around the block. Supermarket and other stores a short walk as well

Great and highly comfortable furnishings. Good quality linen. Attention to detail. Very friendly and super helpful owner who gave me a hand when I was having an issue with my car.

My immediate neighbours for one night were on a drinking bender and were being very loud. Didn't add to the atmosphere, but wasn't the end of the world. Obviously not the motel's fault!

Everything! Location was perfect - minutes to walk to beach, food shopping, restaurants/bars. Clean and tidy, with the ability to do a load of laundry. Hosts are wonderful, and at the ready to help guests with all of their needs!

Unbeatable location for Sumner- down the block from the beach, quick walk to restaurants and shops. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need.

I really had to think about this- love their toiletries but you do need to bring your own lotion, and there wasn’t much counter space in the bathroom. The room is perfect though, with ample fridge, counter space, everything you need for cooking and coffee.

climbing up and down stairs was a bit of a challenge for oldies but we understood these were the only units which had a couch to sit on. 2 bucket chairs are not what we like to sit on after a long day out

Sophie and Tony were both wonderful and friendly. We had to leave in the early hours for a flight and returned a couple of days later on a late flight and they accommodated us without any trouble. They kept my drink beaker too which I accidentally forgot on the first visit. The single and split rooms were very clean and comfortable. Thanks both.

Unit 6 had a nice private leafy patio on the ground floor. It was attractive, modern, spacious and well equipped. Sumner Bay turned out to be a very pleasant seaside choice - far more attractive than Brighton Beach.

We had some initial problems trying to connect to the internet with WiFi, but the manager was very helpful and sorted out the problem.
