The Host is a very hard worker who goes out of her way to make sure everything is okay.

The owners need to spend money upgrading the units. The beds need replacing. The Host had to fix single bed. Our queenside bed was so uncomfortable you could feel the springs. Gave us a sore back. The bathroom units need replacing. The drawers are jammed. The microwave was too low near floor level. How is an elderly person meant to bend down that low, with hot food, not ideal. The unit needs more kitchenware. No spatula, no bread board, frying pan needed replacing which the Host kindly replaced. The cutlery aren’t matching, crockery bowls were too small and shallow. This is NOT the Host’s fault. The owners need to take responsibility and upgrade their apartments.

the location was great, so nice being so close to beach, was a big house in front blocking veiw but could still see some and hear it all night. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful and responsive, one of our cars we even lost the key for and they have been accommodating with time to sort it 🙏

the bed was so squeaky you literally couldn't move your head without hearing it, ended up sleeping on the couch bed. facilities in general were bit old but met all the basic requirements needed to create one's comfort. ❤️

This is our 3rd stay here as it is close for us to meet with family. The appartments are a bit older but always very clean and good value for money. The owners are quick to accommodate us if we need extra blankets or towels. We will stay there again.

Great location, staff that met us were helpful and friendly and in contact via text early on. Great view from room. Had everything we needed and close to shops etc as well as beach and coffee cart!

The double beds in both apartments we rented squeaked and felt unstable - this was also the case in the one apartment we had stayed in a couple of years ago. Some investment in the beds would make a huge difference to the stay and rebooking

It was just what we expected. For a first time traveling to Christchurch from Fiji, we had our money well spent at this place as we only wanted a place that is affordable, safe and can fit the group. The host was so accommodating and friendly. She was always available and really made our trip enjoyable. The two bedroom apartments the we booked were enough for the group of 9 athletes and 3 officials. We were surprised that we did not experience any of what we read in the review.

Everything was just right for the traveling group so we have nothing to complain about.

Easy to find, great having a two bedroom apartment to stay in with plenty of space. Very clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. Had 1 x queen in one room and 2 x singles in the other. Has parking but note vehicles have to be less than 2.2m high to use and get into back carpark (we had a kayak on the roof so had to work around that).

Was not emailed instructions to enter property, we had to call number at reception to get the fob key to get in. Wasn't hard but was a bit extra to work out,. Was 3 flights to get to the apartment, but got stuff up there easily and they have ground and up units as well.

The apartments were a good size, nice and spacious. The beds were comfortable, shower had great pressure. Parking was easy and plenty of room. Although the lady looking after the apartments was not on site, she was only 5 mins away when called. She was helpful and friendly. Rooms not serviced daily which is fine, but she checked if we needed anything each day. Literally 2 minute walk to the beach by the surf club so good for swimming. At stated in other comments, the units are tired, but clean and good value. I would stay here again.

Location wonderful. Cleanliness was perfect. Size for a group of 1 couple & a single adult was ideal. Quiet as. Soap etc was supplied plus ample towels. Shower had great pressure. My unit had a carpark straight outside of door.Also had sliding door to private outside area.

This unit (no2) needs some basic maintenance. Doors hanging open under sink & in bathroom. They won't shut. Also sole couch (3 seater) in unit ( there was no chair in lounge) was hard & really uncomfy. But saying that I would still be happy to stay again.

Great location, heat pump was easy to use and worked well. The size of the apartment was perfect for us. Awesome price for 2 nights. I really liked the balcony and the views. The cleaner was so friendly and helpful. Everything worked and beds were comfortable. Apartment was clean. Great stay! would definitely book again.

Ok so it’s a bit run down in places but it wasn’t a problem, we loved it. Especially for the price and location. It was exactly what we needed. I asked for more blankets and towels and toilet paper and it wasn’t a problem, it was brought up to us straight away. Super friendly staff.

We had a penthouse 2bdrm unit that looked out towards the ocean (#14). It was very quiet inside (with double glazing) and the sound of the surf was wonderful with the slider open. The unit was clean, spacious, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage. Nice big comfy couch to relax on when we needed it. Plenty of hotwater, decent linen and a nice feel to the place. Staff were polite and pleasant to deal with. The proximity to the beach is great (just across the road) and everything felt very safe and secure. I have to add that we were delighted with the location because there is next to nothiing else in the area.

Although nice, the first person at reception didn't speak a word of English and we had to wait to get the key. The balcony top hand rails were broken and although not a safety issue - it was a little unnerving to have one dislodge in your hand. The shower is over a bath with an extraordinarily awkward fold back door thing that doesn't work well. The beverage sachets are of poor quality but we had brought our own so not an issue.
