For the cost of the motel, this place is really well placed & in my opinion, definitely worth it. Is the carpet paper thin? Yes. Does the water pressure kinda suck in the shower? Yes (though they can't help that). Does the bathroom remind you of public toilets? Also yes. However, on pure value alone, this is a two bedroom apartment, with aircon and electric blankets at studio prices. They even off washing & dryer facilities onsite free of charge which is awesome. Well worth the stay, especially young families as there is a park across the street & a tennis court to keep them busy.

One of the drains in the bathroom was not cleaned, still had hair left in there & toilet paper is so thin like the ones in public toilets.

Space and homely feel. We stayed three nights and it’s lovely coming back to a quiet and spacious place after a busy day exploring Christchurch and surrounds. You can sit out of your unit and listen to the bird song and not the rush of care. It was easy to navigate to a main shopping centre and there were some great restaurants there. Couches were comfortable. Self checkin was very easy. We had a problem with the remote not working and left a message on managements phone and they came and fixed it within 15 minutes.

Nothing. We would book here again.

The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were friendly and welcoming, thinking of little things (like Valentine's Day, which was part-way through our stay). They adjusted when we had queries, were generous sharing items when we were short. In sum, the staff really made this stay special.

Frankly, there wasn't much that we didn't like so this is a hard question to answer. Perhaps the air conditioning units could be serviced more often? Granted, one doesn't often need them here, as the weather is very pleasant.

Omg this place was awesome! I could live there. So comfortable and roomy, quiet, comfortable bed, great bathroom etc. This was a very spacious 2 bedroom unit, large lounge, kitchen unit, large bathroom and a small verandah. The units are in a little group around a central courtyard, in a park. Really great place to stay.

That I had to leave lol.

Literally has everything you will need during your stay. Kitchenware/stovetop/fridge/kettle. Spacious bathroom and toilet with towels hand soap/toilet roll dispensers and even has a soap dispenser in the shower area if you don’t have body wash or soap of your own on hand. Nice quiet area tucked away from the main road. Outdoor furniture complete with bbq set up for outdoor cooking. Even has an onsite laundry room.

Only thing that I probably didn’t like would be that there was no sort of privacy netting or screen over the windows. Not a major you could always leave them closed but it would be nice if there were something there for when guest want to open their curtains without people peeping through.

I love everything about this property the space is fabulous it had great energy so i felt welcome lovely setting so comfortable practicle in everyway

The soap dispensor over the hand basin in the kitchen was empty but that didnt really matter because i normally take my own anyway, the open rubbish bin in the kitchen was small but again not really an issue as we emptied it as needed

The unit was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The heatpump keeps the room nice and warm. This motel is lovely and quiet, has great parking and a great outdoor bbq area. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend having a car as it's a little out of the way and ubering gets expensive. Overall a fantastic place to stay and we will be back next time we're in Christchurch.

The huge old portable hotplate takes up most of the bench space if you have to cook and the frypan was very scratched. It takes a bit of maneuvering to get dinner cooked and do toast or salad prep at the same time. In summer you could use the bbq outside which would help but we were there in winter and it was a bit cold for cooking on the bbq. :) I don't know if other units have different kitchenettes. All in all in was manageable.

Met expectations. Clean, quiet, warm, comfy beds. Good for two couples or a small family as apartment had two bedrooms with two single beds and a queen bed, in addition to another single bed in the lounge.Quick drive to supermarket and restaurants.

bring your own toiletries, could be a motel thing but not a disappointment as central location and everything is within reach.

This is the perfect place to go to if you have kids .The place was big and lots of space .The kids can play outside, and the bonus is that there is a playground as well.

That there was no heating in rooms .If the doors are closed during the night for the kids ,the heating of the air conditioning does not go through to the rooms .So having an extra heating source in rooms would have been nice .

Location was great. Beds were very comfortable. Shower was good. We had a faulty heat pump on a very cold day but after a phone call we were moved to another unit and staff were very helpful.

Not so keen on the lack of staff on-site as it feels impersonal but that's just an opinion.
