Good price, close to City, & our particular unit (#12) was back from the road and so quiet. We only needed 1 night for a sleep. Very comfortable bed, and minimal noise between units. It was good to be able to leave a bedroom window open for ventilation. Provision of basic kitchenware was adequate for our needs, and an under bench fridge kept our food bag cool. An off-street park was supplied. Staff at both ends of our stay were very friendly.

The access steps to the unit we had were very steep and would not be suitable for anyone with mobility or balance issues, or in the event of an emergency.. The unit was very small and felt squeezed in - but since we were not preparing a meal, it was adequate. There was only 1 chair - one of us had to sit on the bed to drink our coffee ... and the view was out over the motel work yard. The bathroom had no window (only electrical ventilation) and required lights on when the door was shut (cavity slider). 2 frypans were supplied in a drawer, but there was no sign of a hotplate - not sure why they were there?

Really happy with the room for the price. We were a little concerned about city noise whilst making the booking but we enjoyed quiet nights sleep. The room had everything we needed including the private bathroom, a sink and a fridge. Bed was comfortable, staff were friendly, room was clean. Car parking was a little tight at times but we managed. I hope to be able to book again in the future at the same price.

The only thing that could have made the room a bit nicer would be to repair some of the wall damage where a tv mount has previously been, and other minor areas and the shower is coming away from the wall around the edges. This had no negative bearing on our stay, however.

Beautiful and welcoming staff that went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Updated rooms and comfortable bed and chairs

We were in the room right next to the laundry and it was extremely loud through the wall when we were trying to relax. Also no sugar sachets provided with tea and coffee. The updating in the rooms is great bit still further painting needs to be done on the doors And a bit of additional decor to warm up the rooms. Like local paintings/photo prints of Christchurch on the walls would make it perfect.

It had air conditioning. Kept me cool on hot days and nights. Newish kitchen and bathroom. Friendly owners or staff. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Laundry available to wash and dry your clothes. Friendliest couple that run it. Had shower gel and shampoo and conditioner if you don't bring your own. Replaced towels etc everyday for us.

Location right by main road and traffic with noise was horrific. Took me a while to sleep. If a heavy sleeper who doesn't mind road noise it's perfect.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Motel is currently undergoing renovations and our room had literally been finished that day with a brandnew kitchen and very modern bathroom. Shower was beautifully hot and very powerful. Perfect to warm up after a chilly day.

The room still smelled a bit of fresh paint and there was a hole in the bathroom door. But that was just a minor aesthetic thing. Really happy otherwise.

The room we were given was different from the one booked. This room didn’t have air conditioning as stated and it was 29 degrees when we arrived. So we had a pretty uncomfortable hot sleep. Even a freestanding fan would have been great.

There was a Thai container with good food nearby.

Christchurch is full of roadworks. Toilet paper supplied in room was grossly inadequate, substandard quality and insufficient amount. We had to play charades with the cleaner to ask for more on the second day of our stay, as they spoke not a word of English. Very poor reflection of an establishment that can't even provide quality toilet paper.

I loved the shower, and the bed was clean and comfortable to sleep in.

I never saw a single staff member the whole stay. I called and got told the keys were in the room and we left them there when we left. Some people would like that, but I like to be greeted by someone in person. Overall the facilities were very clean, comfortable and great shower A+++ I'd definitely stay again.

rooms were clean, the whole room was clean actually, the shower was great, if i had of known that i was able to cook a meal there that would have been helpful to know as i did enquire. All in all it was a awesome night away from home to spend with my husband.

The privacy, i would have liked to have sat outside in the sun for the afternoon but it is what it is and it was still an enjoyable stay.
