The room we booked actually was better equipped than we thought, it had two hot plates that allowed us to cook meals , as my wife is vegan and also can't eat spicy food this was great as Christchurch appears to have very few restaurants that can cater for her need. There are however quite a lot of good restaurants nearby if you aren't vegan. It's close to Quake city and Botanic gardens .This is a spacious room, efficient heater in shower room as well as one in the main room. The beds were really comfy, cooking facilities very good , two comfy armchairs, heavy drapes kept from warm and dark at night, stopping street light from spilling in, its also very quiet , so good place to sleep well at night. There's parking right outside the room.sky tv with 50 channels , so quite a lot to watch such as BBC earth. Very comfortable and well equipped room in great condition.

The free internet service was best used late at night , it cut on and off quite a lot during peak hours . The sink in the shower area too a long time to drain, but it still worked.it's quite a distance from the city centre if you can't walk far .Very little to complain about , we'd definitely stay again .

Excellent location. We have stayed many times and always find the units sparkling clean and fresh. This particular stay we had just left the Sunshine Coast in 27 degrees 🌞and arrived back in to Christchurch to 3 degrees and a southerly wind and sleet .. freezing cold🥶 we arrived at the unit checked in and the heater was on in the room and the electric blankets ready for us.. such a lovely gesture. We will definitely stay again 😊

Nothing it’s all lovely. Just one thing not a grumble but a suggestion. Maybe a do not disturb sign to hang on the door for folk that have arrived late etc and want a sleep in, just to let the excellent cleaning staff that they are not required. 😊

Very nice and calm motel. We could not here the noise of the cars. Enough parking spaces. The room was very comfy. The city center was a 15min walk.

It is just a shame that the kitchenette did not have a small stove for cooking.

Only very minor negative was that the alarm clock provided went off in middle of night - it would be good if housekeeping could check that previous guests hadn’t reset alarm, though we should have checked…..

For us a 15 minute walk in to the city was good exercise. Others may not like to have to do that if they don't have a car. Our room was spacious, really well presented and we appreciated all the written material available in the room. No QR codes - yay! On checkout day we were able to leave our bags for a few hours which was very helpful. The guest laundry was appreciated.

We had a few issues with the dryer (and apologise for not getting to talk to the owners about this). The charge is $6 for approx 1 hour but we ended up having to put more coins in as the first ones didn't register properly. I think $2 per 20 mins would be a better way to have the dryer set up.

Great location, quiet, clean and spacious studio with a comfy bed. Cleaning staff were lovely.

Our welcome on arrival was less than impressive. Arrived at the advertised check in time of 12 only to be told we were early and the room would not be ready until 1.30. No apology, in fact we felt we were an imposition. We had paid in advance which again seemed to be a problem of our making. I had to show my emailed receipt before I was believed. Such a pity as this was our last stop in New Zealand after a month of travelling and our first less than positive experience.

Easy walking distance to City Centre

There was an option to select a Double or Two Singles on Booking.com. After confirming the booking, I received a message referring to the bed options as a 'special request'. This was not a 'special request', I would not have made the booking had I known there was a possibility that the request might not have been fulfilled. Fortunately, the request was met. Going forward, I think I will book direct with the venue when needing two single beds.

This was our second stay in Christchurch during our holiday and it turned out to be so much better than the first place. Beautifully presented room with heaps of space and everything that you could need. The staff were extremely helpful and the location was great, just a 10 minute walk in to the centre of the City. 10 out of 10.
