Kathy was so helpful in showing us several rooms for a size that would work for our six nights. We enjoyed our stay, great location, plenty of parking, everything and more you would want in a well maintained & spotless room. Comfortable bed, a shower so good my wife took a picture to ask Grok where to buy the shower attachment. Fast internet, satellite channels, warm room with no noise, WOW !!!! we enjoyed our stay and look forward till we are next in Christchurch

Fabulous location, very comfortable room. No main road noise at all. Even had water bowls for our pup. All over a great stay. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early as we were both quite sick. No fault of the facility though.

Our only criticism, on our last night, the next door room was occupied by very noisy young people, the connecting door right next to the bed was not sound proofed at all. Made for an uncomfortable night. Suggestion, change door to solid door rather than hollow door. Still I would stay here again and definitely would recommend.

Room and indeed whole facility was clean and tidy. Adequate car parking was available for guests at the time. Room was well equipped with microwave, coffee/tea making, fridge, plates and dining ware etc. Bathroom facilities were excellent. Great location with some good restaurants etc nearby.

Not a great selection of pillows. TV/cable stations were limited and possibly not as advertised. We had a hire car so getting about was easy, may not be so easy otherwise.

The cleanliness was exceptional, everything nicely presented, shower was amazing. The location was perfect, so close to everything in the city, right on a main road but was still quiet so must be well insolated.

The only negative was the slamming of doors throughout the night by other guests, I know this isn't the fault of the managers/owners but it was very annoying specially before sunrise both mornings. Not sure how this can be solved, there are inconsiderate people everywhere I guess.

A great place to stay when checking out Christchurch and all it's attractions. The motel is located on busy Bealey Avenue so we asked for a quiet room and got a free upgrade to the top floor at the back, away from the road, which was definitely quieter. The room itself was a good size with comfortable beds, a little balcony, and the shower had great water pressure. The location was good with lots of cafes nearby and it was only a short walk to the town centre.

There was a bit of noise from the in-room fridge and from neighbouring rooms when they had showers, etc. but it was pretty minimal. Also, we couldn't figure out how to take the lift from the ground floor up (maybe a security thing) but we could take it from the first floor up and had no problems going down.

The Bealey Plaza Motel was a very nice refuge from the rain during a rather wet pair of nights in Christchurch. As a storm hit the area, my ferry to the North Island got cancelled and the hotel staff kindly let me use their phone to make the necessary re-arrangements. They also let me use the laundry room to clean my clothes even after it was supposed to be closed.

Nice easy book in with friendly staff.Warm comfy accommodation with everything we could want and handy to what we needed. Walking distance to eateries. Great rainhead shower.Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.Real value for price too.

Traffic noise not a problem even on Bealey Ave but could hear people in the adjourning room but it wasnt concerning.

The lady at the front desk was helpful when I couldn't work the tv for sky channels, and she let me check in early

That I could hear alot of noise from the other people staying you could hear them talking loudly and laughing loud when they got in late and the shutting of their doors and running back and forth between rooms, and sometimes you could hear the traffic aswell

Everything was as expected, it was clean, tidy & well maintained etc.

We had previously stayed in a ground floor room at the rear of the property, although this time we weren't absolute roadside, our bedroom window did have a direct sight to the road and we found the road noise to be far more noticeable than our previous stay.

James and staff very obliging and helpful, spotless unit, great kitchen, spacious luxurious shower, quiet even though on a busy street and excellent guest laundry

Would have been helpful to have instructions to operate the TV and to advise to keep objects clear of the receiving box
