The manager, Will, was very kind. Our accommodation was upgraded, which was a pleasant surprise. Will was often at the front desk, so we could easily reach him whenever we needed assistance, which gave us great peace of mind. He also provided helpful suggestions for our travel plans. We were especially glad to include Willowbank Wildlife Reserve in our itinerary, where we got to see many native New Zealand birds and animals. Additionally, he helped us rearrange our visit to the International Antarctic Center to fit it into the day of our return, which worked out perfectly.

The only minor drawback was that the refrigerator in our room couldn't keep our ice cream frozen. However, Will kindly offered to store it for us in his own freezer, which was greatly appreciated.

Great location near the CBD with ample parking and an easy drive from the airport. Lovely spacious room with TV, wifi, lounge area, kitchenette and storage. Superbly comfortable bed with quality bedding. The room was immaculately clean with a well-equipped kitchenette and the bonus of having a washing machine/dryer too. The bathroom was fully stocked with large shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles - not the tiny single-use pots that don't go far enough.

My only observation was the lighting was a little dim - especially when doing your makeup or for someone who needs a good level of light when reading etc. This is not a 'don't like', it's just an observation.

The room was spacious and clean. It had more amenities than expected - a coffee press, toaster, kettle, microwave, cold water in the fridge, a heater in the bathroom, etc. Overall it had extras that made it special. We booked it because it had the basics and a washing machine. The hotel dried our clothes for an extra cost which was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was $8 uber to get to downtown, to the market - and we walked it back, a nice walk. I would recommend and stay again!

we booked the deluxe studio with a spa bath. the hot water was consistent. . The receptionist was very knowledgeable and helpful. really loved it that the parking in the motel was inside, safe, and spacious. very clean. neat and chic.

The heater in the bathroom was not very efficient. since we got the middle room, the wifi was shared between room 1 and room 3 (you are using either one) thus it's not very strong. One night my Zoom for work wouldn't just connect due to this. the kitchen, however, you cannot really cook. an electric stove and pots are given during request. since there is no proper window near the kitchen or a vent, the smell of even frying an egg stayed in.

The owners were amazing, so friendly and welcoming! Nothing was a problem and they did what they could to help. Our room was on the second floor and when it was time to leave, they carried our suitcases down. I highly recommend this place and would def come back. Thanks!!!

Clean, very comfortable, great location for airport and city. The arrangements made to collect the key and locate the room after a late night flight were clear and correct. Perfect.

There were no parking spots left on the property for us and we had to find a spot in a lane way at the back. Not a big problem but it would have been good to be aware of that ahead of time.

Nice, clean, all the amenities are there. King bed. We had big bathtub in our room (free upgrade), really nice to soak in. Hand shower also helps. Location is close to city centre and shopping mall with groceries. The room service was a bit weird - they didn’t clean anything or change towels, but turned off washing machine which supposed to wash and dry our clothes -_- Not a big deal, just surprising.

Kitchen didn't have cooking stove.

The bed was extremely comfortable. I had a double spa bath in my room and the additional bonus was the washer/dryer. It was within walking distance of the City Centre and ideal for for anyone wanting to go for a run in Hagley Park. I can also recommend the Tapas bar opposite the motel. We were lucky enough to go on a Friday night when there was live jazz music.

Friendly and very easy check in and accommodated us with our needs. Very useful to be able to check in early. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Beds too were warm and comfortable. Well appointed with everything you could need. Spa and shower excellent with lovely complementary washes and shampoos etc. The location was perfect for us and handy to a range of shopping and dining options.

Room was on the second floor and had two stairs to access. Comfortable beds with towel changes over our 7 nights. Well equipped with drink sachets. Great location with short walks to city and Merivale. Owner/manager was polite and helpful. A good place to stay.
