We arrived very late past midnight, tired and stressed from not having the the booked taxi waiting for us - so we were tremendously appreciative of the friendly welcome received by the friendly Manager there when we got to the hotel - and and got an upgrade to a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment for the first night... it was so lovely to de-stress. We enjoyed the hot chocolates each day too. Such a great bonus to have chocolates as well as the normal provision of tea and coffee. thanks a million! Thanks also for the early check in to our other rooms the next morning. we allocated 2 beautiful rooms next to each other, the following 4 nights and these had large bathtubs which we were able to enjoy a relaxing bath each night.

This hotel was by far the best we stayed in during our trip to New Zealand. The hotel rooms are just beautiful. Fresh, clean and spacious for our family of 4. We were so warm and comfortable, and the location was still great for being able to explore Christchurch. The restaurant was wonderful too, great service and delicious food. The staff were so helpful. When we left some shoes at the hotel and had moved on to another city, they went out of their way to make sure they were posted to us in a timely way, and found a cheaper way to do this. Excellent value for money and we would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Christchurch!

Lovely hotel , friendly helpful staff , our room was beautiful- clean, comfortable and felt really like a luxury stay. Cleaners had done a fabulous job.Great location, comfortable beds,great bathroom. We def enjoyed our stay and wished we could've stayed longer

Parking is first in first served and outside our room one car was parked really badly and another parked in the middle of 2 disabled spaces. Might need better signage and or painted lines . Breakfast was $80 something for 3 continental breakfasts that didn't feel like good value to me and I was fairly disappointed. But otherwise everything else about our stay was top tier.

We had a fantastic time at Scenic Hotel Cotswold. Our suite was beautifully decorated and we loved the big comfy couch and armchair. The heated flooring in the bathroom and double shower-head were an added bonus, as was the free parking outside our room. The king bed was very comfortable and the room was very warm. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We would say this is absolutely the best place we have stayed in Christchurch and we look forward to coming back.

The room was exceptional but the one thing that could be improved was the shower pressure. A very minor thing.

We wanted a reasonably priced comfortable safe place for a weekend break away from home (Timaru) while visiting friends and family and we got it. Being familiar with the Scenic Hotel standard (have visited Blenheim a number of times), we had confidence in the brand. The wait staff were excellent, as was the standard of the food and presentation. We appreciated the low cost up grade to a 1 bedroom unit. Top marks!

The bed was firmer than I am used to. The couch, a little close to the TV. Next time we will ask for a ground floor room with parking handy to the room.

The breakfast is super tasty and from 1600 to 1700 you have a complementary tea or coffe with delicious muffins. The bed was super comfy too and the room very spacious. The shower with amazing pressure and nice toiletries.

The first night (Friday) parking there was without any issue, the following night was a mission. Lots of cars no room for parking where you are allowed to park. There is no clear signs where or where not to park apart of the printed guide the gave you upon check in. So good luck in this one.

I did not purchase the breakfast so I can't comment on that. The staff were very helpful. There was a problem with the door lock on my motel unit and they moved me to another unit at once. The complimentary afternoon tea in their restaurant was unexpected and very delicious. It wasn't a problem at all but I was in one of the older motel units not the tudor style accommodation as seen in most of the photos. But it was comfortable.

Finding that the unit door could not lock was worrying, but the staff attended to it straight away.

This was one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed at. The rooms were very nice, we were given a free upgrade to a suite, which made our stay very more relaxed. The beds and the bathroom were comfortable, and well appointed. Parking was in an inside court making it very safe. The lounge had a large Smart TV coffee, wine, snacks etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All were very solicitous about our well being and our visit. The food was better in the hotel than elsewhere in the area though we tried several other restos.

Nothing really. Everything was exceptional

Lovely furnishings. Didn't realize their was a bit of a Victorian theme or something and our boy was creeped out by the stocks and the old style door handles. Otherwise very comfortable and nice room

Was extremely annoyed that the shower water went cold. I was having my shower late evening after the other 2 and the water was cold. Wouldnt go hot after many many tries/time. It was too late at night for me to be bothered calling for help. Had one in the morning and the water was back to hot.

Staff were very friendly and understanding. We areived late on 25th and they welcomed us warmly. We were also a little late to check out the next day and they graciously extended the check out by 40mins. The showers was wonderful and it was quiet at night.

Birds woke us up fairly early in the morning. Also shocked me the first time when I saw someone standing right outside the bathroom, along the hallway leading to the side stairs. Conversations of anyone walking along those stairs can be heard quite clearly.
