Very spacious room. Clean and tidy for the most part. Comfortable bed. Very quiet location. Restaurants within walking distance. Large washer and dryer in laundry. Modern building and decor. Fresh milk received at check in.

Shower curtain had orange grime at the bottom hem and needed to be washed/bleached or replaced. Toilet had dried spots of urine on the exterior of the bowl near the base. I expected “large double bed” to mean king sized but found it to be queen sized. Phone had a bright light which made it hard for me to sleep. Dryer lint catcher hadn’t been emptied and was very full. Dining chairs needed re-upholstering. Would have liked a second lounge chair to sit in as there were two of us in the room.

It’s a great spot for families and the staff were very hospitable, price very affordable considering the time of year and the location was close to everything local.

The only review would be the noise from people coming up and down the stairs (our room was right by the stairs on the ground level though) and we had a group that wasn’t very mindful of how heavily they were stomping up and down the stairs late at night. It was only a minor issue tho and it’s more to provide an honest review then complain.

Easily one of the best over nighters we have had. We love staycations and make a point of trying different accommodations to try them all out but this place we definitely would stay again. The receptionist was lovely and very welcoming. Room was pristine, very clean. Beds including the pull out sofa were very comfortable. Great range of channels on the tvs. Lovely bathroom. We didn't use the pool but had a look and very nice and clean with a beautiful outdoor area. The wee courtyard area as you arrive and around reception was very pleasing to the eye as well. Lots to do in the area as well, local transport right outside. Plentiful restaurants within walking distance, local parks and supermarkets nearby. Very happy

Nothing. Wish I could stay longer

The room was fantastic and no road noise. The kids and adults loved the pool. The room was spacious and clean even had an air fryer. We moved the two single beds into the lounge each night as having them in the main room was a bit too much. But all worked well. No air con but able to leave the doors and windows open heaps of air flow.

People in room next to us vaping right outside our open window. Check in was ok, although a how was your day? Or welcome would have been nice. Pretty much here is the key and that was it.

I booked this motel as we’re travelling with a puppy. This place offers dog-friendly rooms. They have a space in the back where dogs can play and do their business. The motel is also close to the centre with shops and restaurants.

It would’ve been better if the space for dogs had real grass instead of artificial. You can hear the noise from the other rooms including flushing of the toilet, but we weren’t really fuzzy about it.

Location was fantastic and easy to gain access to main roads and shoppingcentres, set up and service from the room service team was amazing and we arrived at 2am and the heat was left on for us and a light which I felt was extremely considerate, Easy use of laundry, didn't use pool/bbq but area looked welcoming and generally was welcoming, quite apart from the trucks driving past through the night was a bit loud so took a couple nights to get use to it! Expected for being so close to city though.

Beds were just a bit uncomfortable, and there was an ant issue which I know couldn't be helped just annoying

This place was great, especially for the price we paid. The lady at reception when we arrived was very friendly. We got a free room upgrade which was a bonus! The room itself was a good size for two people, immaculately clean and had what we needed. Location made it easy to access all the best eating spots in Christchurch. We were glad we stayed here

Pool area was great on a hot day. Full oven and fridge great for families or longer stays.. Heat pump efficiently cooled the living space and mezzanine floor area.

Couldn't stream on their TV sets. Layout of the couches obscured the TV screen. A little more counter space in the kitchen would be great,. Shower door leaked. Scented diffuser was overpowering - we switched it off.

EVERYTHING!!!! My family and I loved it and enjoyed every moment. The staff were sooo great and cleaners extra great💯 we travelled in a large group and very satisfied with their service and convenience of the location for our trip. Thank you sooooo much Ashford Motor Lodge and we hope to see you again if ever in Christchurch again.

Excellent location, close to everything we needed, room had plenty of space, parking was great, have stayed before and always have a comfortable stay. Receptionist was incredibly helpful.

Disappointed that the servicing of our unit hadn't been completed, I know it's a busy time of year for Chch motels but I shouldn't have to wipe down the table, put pillowcases on pillows, find TV remotes under the couch and bedside tables. Top of fridge hadn't been dusted for some time. Just little things.
