The location was excellent, Merivale is a nice suburb close to everything I needed, a short stroll to Hagley Park and great shopping in Merivale. Being in the city it was a little noisy but that is to be expected. While the motel is older my room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of free parking which is always a bonus.

I was in an upstairs unit and the water pressure in the shower was terrible but I mananged

The staff are really polite and helpful, they let me check in sooner as the room was ready, not like other places when strict check in. Checked if I was ok, or if I needed anything. The place was really nice and I had a feeling of home, not a motel. They had a heater in the bathroom as well for when you showered

Only 1 thing, the TV was not smart and had very little programs on sky, so had to use my own devices

The location is good, close to the city with restaurants not far from it. The room is good sized for 2 people, clean and maintained well. Parking is tight in the front area but was not an issue as the place was not full to capacity. Easy parking at the back of the property. The staff were very helpful.

No exhaust in the toilet/bathroom but not much of an issue to be highlighted.

Suited our purpose, good shower, clean and tidy, nothing spectacular but we were out all day so more than happy with facilities. Obliging staff, give respect/manners and you get it back with a smile,

Apart from a generous double-bed room the second single bed in the lounge was really a couch. Just put up with it as I am not one to kick up a fuss unless it is really justified. I did sleep well curled up though !!!!

Handy to our requirements..Car parking was a bit tight but room out the back.. Entrance way could have been a bit more presentable.. no milk in the room. Considering it was on a Main road there was no traffic noise so good value for just the basics..We'll probably stay again for the price...

Clean up the entrance way... first impressions last.

I don't understand why this place has so many negative reviews. The staff were really helpful, it was clean,it had all the kitchen facilities you could need and it's in a great location just a couple of minutes walk from North Hagley Park. I guess some people just like a good moan.

Great location - close to city center and Hagley Park (for those who like a bit of exercise). Fully functional kitchenette is perfect for those who like to self-cater. Excellent value for money.

It was easy walking distance to shops.

I slipped in the shower. Perhaps a mat to stop sliding would be good. This was the first place we stayed at lots of motels and we have always been given milk when we arrived.

Spacious. Very comfortable bed. Excellent disabled unit with terrific shower.

More lighting at night would be good. Thankfully I had my torch with me.

Loved everything! Was able to make our own food with the little kitchen. Everything was nice and clean. Watched sky movie which was great. They gave us free milk when we asked. Bus stops are pretty close so it was convenient.

If I have to say it would be that the shower water was too hot.
