I had a wonderful stay at Abbey motor lodge. The service was exceptional, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail, such as the fresh towels provided daily. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. One of the highlights was the perfect location—just a short walk from the city, making it easy to explore and enjoy all the nearby attractions. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and would highly recommend this accommodation, especially for its prime location and excellent service.

Unfortunately, I did experience an issue with the smell of cigarette smoke, which detracted slightly from an otherwise perfect stay.

Was clean, good value for money and really close to city centre. Decent enough heating and good enough facilities for basic cleaning.

Can be noisey at night being on the Main Street. Stayed for 2 nights and our room wasn’t serviced, besides towels being replaced. Bit suspicious about our room key as it unlocked multiple doors - our room, and 2 different side doors. Unsure if it was a master key, which made us feel a little unsafe. (Although we took the risk and didn’t confirm this with staff if that was the case).

The room was large & comfy. it had basic cooking facilities as there is no restaurant for breakfast. We were upgraded from a superior room to a family which was much appreciated. The interior has new carpets & different artwork. It was a good 20 man walk to Riverside Markets which worked out fine for us. We were also able to do our washing in the Laundry room fir $10 per wash & dry which was great.

It was a little hard to get the Staff's attention but I just rang the mobile number or the door bell as they weren't always at reception & I think cleaning rooms/family run Motel.

Lovely spacious room, crisp clean sheets, great water pressure for shower. Kitchenette adequate for our needs. Loved the ground floor courtyard area, private. Very handy to central city, great value for money. Off street parking, free.

Suggest Microwave should be put on wall to give a little more bench space in kitchenette. 136 is on a busy road, so a little traffic noise. Parking area behind motel and if you have a lot of luggage it takes a few trips to your room, no matter where it is. No lift.

Location was good. Room was vast. Reception was very helpful and friendly.

3 times I got messages about my stay being at threat if I didn’t answer but I couldn’t open them. I needed a late entry and my messages about this went unanswered. TA needs to update reception closing times. Seals around window had gone making the room very noisy as on busy road.

Beds and especially the pillows were really comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Easy parking. My only feedback would be it would be nice to either have a power point in the bathroom to plug in a hair straightener or have a mirror in the lounge area near a power point.

Apart from dome reservations in progress the stay was great and staff were very frienly and helpful. Good location cafe next door and Thia food container cafe across the road. Bus stop close by or a nice walk into the city. Thanks for all your help

Inside of the motel was clean. Rooms were spotless with a comfortable bed.

Exterior looks a little scruffy - from the street. Not a big deal but is the first impression. Super noisy road/road crossing was stuck on a continuous beep through the night.

Great location and price we stayed at their other motel Abbey Motel as there was a problem at 136. Great communication and help to ensure we had a great place to stay.

I find it difficult getting into a shower over the bath so a grab rail would have helped and a non slip mat in bath The hand basin drained poorly
