It was very convenient to the CBD, local supermarket, and airport. The receptionist was very helpful and went to the extra distance to help us with the TV reception. The motel's reception office externally looks terrific with hanging baskets full of flowers. The rooms are very clean, although quite basic. The laundry facilities require coins to operate. And the bed is comfortable. We did like the dining table with four chairs - a nice touch to actually be able to eat our meals at a table.

The material cloth provided to wash our dishes seemed a bit unhygienic to me, as it was always dripping wet all day long. I would highly recommend that a fresh disposable cloth is provided for every new guest to use, as they tend to dry easily between dishwashing sessions and don't get smelly.

Excellent central location; free convenient parking right by our unit; room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. All that we could need in the city centre. We were only there one night, but I inadvertently left my hearing aid behind, plugged into its charger. Staff were terrific: room staff found it, then management contacted me promptly by phone (although I missed the call and the voicemail - my fault) and then still somehow recognised us as we returned later to pick up our vehicle and dashed out to return it personally. Really admirable, and very much appreciated, considering I hadn’t even noticed yet that I’d lost it!

Spacious room. Good WiFi. Light and airy, lots of windows to open, convenient little kitchenette. Heated towel rail in kitchen. Convenient laundry facilities - $4 for washing, $4 for dryer, free detergent (powder). Very unusual shower, but did the job. Staff were lovely, swapped my note for $2 coins (for the laundry) and gave me more milk when I asked for it. Parking was very easy, and location was walkable to centre. I would stay again.

Very minor: Tap in bathroom was rather loose. Whole bathroom unit is quite dated, but does the job just fine, still very functional.

My check-in and out times were both out of hours but the correspondence from Jane was clear, efficient and welcoming for confirmations and instructions. Correspondence was always quickly acknowledged or replied to. The location was excellent - only a 900metre walk to turn to Cathedral Square. I had a car and it was easy to find, access and I always had a parking space. The accommodation was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet and excellent value. This was a final few days before flying home to the UK having been in NZ for 4 months. I was grateful that my room was on the ground floor due the weight and quantity of my luggage. Jane even let me borrow some scales to check my luggage weight. It was a perfect end to my trip.

Great central location. Free offstreet parking in safe area. Walk or short drive to all central interest areas, shopping, cafes, restaurants. Good size room. Great heatpump..we used during our stay. Love the free wifi & tv channel choices. Good kitchen facilities. Very comfortable bed & choice of pillows. We used bookme site to get discount for Christchurch Gondola..which orovided fab views but awful overpriced food..great coffee though I thought

Ugly dirty aircond unit..no longer in use? Seen outside one of the windows. Better to completely clean that space. Would be great improvement. Bathroom a little dated, still useable.

It's a perfect 15-minute easy flat walk into the town. The room was spacious, clean, and easy to find. I liked that my car was easy to access, although I didn't need to use it. (I could see it from my room.) I ended up checking in late and just rang the number, and the lady was polite, efficient, and kind checking me in.

If I had to pick something, it would be having to carry my case up a small flight of stairs, but that's being super picky.

Great value for money and in a fantastic location, you can take a bus to the city center and the place is walking distance from the Christchurch cathedral and the Centre mall. The property is tidy and well maintained and is simple to drive in and out from it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, containing a few chairs, desk area and nice comfy beds. The rooms also have all the necessary amenities and facilities. The motel is suitable for solo travelers and also for couples and families, great for a few nights stay. You can generally get great and cheap prices if you book well in advance, but if you book a few days before, you shouldn’t expect huge discounts or competitive prices. Overall, I would recommend a visit to this motel.

Conveniently located and quiet, within walking distance of the centre. Friendly staff, clean 2 bedroom unit with full kitchen and shower room. Air-conditioning in living room, so left bedroom doors open as it was quite warm outside. Free parking over 4 nights was great.

The fire alarm went off on two out of four evenings due to someone cooking in the unit, but the owners came to turn it off within a few minutes. There is a sign on the wall that says to make sure that the kitchen is well ventilated when cooking.

We loved the property as well as the service and location! If we come back, will come to C.C Motel! Lovely receptionist waited for our late check in. I had specific request, she made sure it’s done. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean and bright. The kitchen well equipped, everything we needed. Netflix and other apps were great addition to already great package. Bed was comfy, bathroom clean, shower worked great. We had a little terrace too. The motel is close enough to the centre, near by are restaurants and grocery store. Even though it’s winter we enjoyed walks to the playground, and other places. Laundry service was just perfect, and lovely receptionist lady helped us around that. If you’re looking for a cozy, clean, place to stay in and not spend fortune, City C Motel is the place.

Nice location next to the city centre, it's around a 10min walk to the heart of christchurch. The room was a decent size with everything you needed. There were definitely enough parking g spaces and we were able to check in early.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable and the furniture was a bit outdated but for the price point you can't expect much more so we were happy with the room.
