A nice clean hotel with friendly welcome at reception, location a short stroll from the beach and pier, free onsite parking room quite large with decent bathroom.

Breakfast was not great a bit limited with paper plates and plastic cutlery which if this is for environmental reasons it is to be applauded although there was only 1 bin for all the waste food, plastic and recyclables so not sure how that works also the fruit juice dispenser was broken when we went for breakfast so had to buy 3 bottles of fruit juice from the hotel vending machine at $4 each so complimentary breakfast turned out not to be so.

The location is walking distance from the beach and in a quiet area away from the touristy area. The room is spacious and clean. The included breakfast is good. Plenty of free parking. Big refrigerator. There was a recycling bin in the rooms.

The room had a musty smell and the building and rooms are older. The furniture and bedsheets are newer and clean.

Near ocean, altho condo buildings blocked view of ocean. Rm 118 had step in shower but only one shower safety bar. My sister had terrible time trying to take shower. Parking field /lot outside window. Loud trucks and crew began their day at 2:15 a.m. and talking and ran engines which rumbled and actually vibrated the bed for 30 min before finally leaving. Told staff next morning they were very concerned, offered to change our room, but said the crew was checking out so the night ahead would be quiet, which was true. Check in was fast and easy. Staff was very kind when we asked about food delivery and other questions. Breakfast had quite a good variety of healthy choices. Very comfy seating/ pretty dining area. Pretty pool area.

Noisy trucks outside window the first night. They don't clean rooms until your 4th night. (!!!)

I liked the location, staff, decor, room amenities and breakfast. I only needed a place to stay for one night in Port Hueneme and found this a good place for a single parent and older child to feel safe and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood on a week-night. Public beach nearby. Restaurants handy. If I need to return to Port Hueneme, I’d stay there again.

I would have liked it if I could have opened the window wider (it appeared to have something in place to that prevent it from opening more than about 6”).

The facility and room was clean, safe, and convenient to the beach. Nice pool and fitness room too.

The breakfast options could be improved. More bread selections and toppings for cereal. The fruit selections were limited to apples and oranges. How about chopped melons and berries? The oatmeal was gummy.

The gentleman who greeted and checked us in was very accommodating and kind. I had requested for fresh towels and not even 5 minutes they were delivered to the room.

Everything was good except the sink in our room filled up really quickly when using to wash hands and brushing our teeth.

The breakfast was very good (maybe need coffee made a little bit earlier as my wife gets up at 5:00 AM). The location of the hotel was fantastic. Being that close to the beach (about a block away) was wonderful! We walked there at least two different days and had dinner and a real nice restaurant right by the beach, with live music! There was also shopping across the street, which was very convenient. The pool and other facilities were excellent. I love the town the hotel is in (Port Hueneme) and the staff was very kind to teach us how to say the town's name and direct to everywhere we needed to go. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for the value (price was very reasonable with a big event going on in the next town (Dallas Cowboy training camp in Oxnard).

Close to the beach. Large, clean, comfortable rooms. I stayed just one night so I didn't use the other amenities, but there's also a pool and jacuzzi. Comfortable bed.

Elevators were quite outdated and the sensors weren't very sensitive, slamming hard into a guest as he entered. Most elements of the free breakfast tasted horrendous. The coffee and biscuits were fine, though.

We had everything we needed, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Great place to stay and explore the amazing neighborhood, especially Ventura which is beautiful and is a quick 20 min drive away.

The only problem we had was that we couldn’t air the room because the widows were permanently closed/locked. But since we spent only 2 nights there it wasn’t a big problem.

I love the location. We walked to the beach every day. The room was lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and super accommodating.

The room smelled musty upon entering it. I lived in Hueneme for 17 yrs. I know rhe damp coastal air contributes to the musty smell but maybe change the air condioning filters more often.
