Staff were very friendly and helpful, for example providing accurate dining recommendations. Mattresses and linens were good quality and comfortable. Location was delightful and parking on location was convenient.

These aren't really "dislikes', rather some suggestions for an even better experience: 1. Provide a range of pillow firmness and height - none of the ones in our room were low enough for our comfort. 2. Look into sourcing muffins from a local baker - a bit larger, and more home-made taste and texture. I realize that might prove cost prohibitive, but worth investigating. 3. Keep ahead of plumbing and general bathroom maintenance - the shower head was fine but the pipe entry through the wall was exposed and moved, which lead to leaks or water behind the wall.

The staff was wonderful and the location stellar! Great family place to stay with virtually everything walkable.

We had to get our keys reset FIVE different times. That is a lot and not what we normally have for vacations. They need to get new keys. A protein option at breakfast wills have been very nice. The option of a coffee maker in your room would have been the best!

Great location, nice view, comfortable bed, friendly staff, free parking, great self serve coffee machine in lobby, popcorn in the evening, very light but adequate breakfast. Pool looked very nice but didn’t have time to use it.

Bathroom needed updating-no spool that holds toilet tissue in the holder so just had to sit roll on vanity, mold and dirt at side of tub/shower, shower rod pulling out of the wall, hair dryer filter was clogged with hair. The window drapes weren’t hung correctly so hard to pull them closed and the dust ruffle on the bed was totally out of place. These would all be easy fixes to make the room nicer.

We were close to a museum and walking park. We literally walked across the street and visited a museum, took in some culture, walked out the back door and walked along the edge of the ocean into a walking park. The accommodations exceeded our expectations as it was a mixture of hotel and villa living. The staff was wonderful. It was also in walking distance of a variety of restaurants

Warning, the parking was a little cramped, but that's true for the entire island. Property could use a better lobby, but we never occupied it. Also, it's hard to find an ATM on the property or anywhere on the island, so come prepared. It didn't interrupt anything, but we like to have a little cash on hand.

Great location, great service from staff. Amazing free fantastic multiple cappuccino/expresso/hot chocolate coffee machine by the front desk!! Never seen one like it,except at a Mercedes dealership!! Totally made up for lack of in room coffee!!

The construction, but it did not hinder anything. Could have had a more robust continental breakfast, but was adequate, and construction could be limiting that too? It needs the updating, as it is an older place which was surely a real gem in its day. It has big suite rooms,but could use some spiffing up with newer furniture. I would stay there again!

Our crew loves Ocean Inn & Suites. It's our favorite! Location is the key. It's so close to the Village and across the street from the Lighthouse! Walking distance to the best places to eat and shop. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the coffee machine in the lobby is a great bonus!! There were 10 of us on this trip, for age 9 to 75. We all had a great time! Something for everyone at St Simons Island. Thanks for a peaceful stay. We'll be back again soon.

The location of the hotel is amazing ... just across the street from the entrance to the lighthouse park, and close to several restaurants and shopping. It is definitely a strong plus for the hotel. The coffee machine in the lobby is terrific, but it was out of order on our last morning (when I really needed it!). The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the option for housekeeping services as needed.

The breakfast is so minimal as to hardly count as breakfast, but I knew that from reading other reviews and decided the benefits outweighed this negative. I would like to have a coffeemaker in the room, but I was also aware of this from other reviews. It would have really come in handy when the machine in the lobby was not working!

We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, the experience was positive. The room was spacious, and the location was excellent, with many restaurants nearby. However, the breakfast was disappointing. They advertised a continental breakfast, but it was very limited. The waffle machine was available, along with mini muffins, apples, and oranges. Based on the offering, I wouldn't consider it a proper breakfast. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant, and the location definitely made up for the breakfast letdown

Last minute extended my stay in the area. This was a good price and it's a nice hotel. Very friendly male checked me in, was a nice welcome. There was a coffee station at any time & he made some popcorn. The bed was comfortable and the room had a jacuzzi type tub in it! I think it might have been a room that is used for Hotel employees maybe in training or certain people because of the way it was set up & the fridge/microwave in hall outside the room, and the room immediately to the left of check in desk. Still nice, and would definitely stay again!

The room is not very large, which isn't a huge problem, especially for a short stay, but the a/c is a little noisy cause it's right next to your bed. When you watched TV, you had to turn up volume when it was running and down when it shut off. Plus room darkening drapes would be nice as well.
