Perfect location. Great beach access in the center of the islands coast. A mile or so from the historic areas and several good restaurants, including their own. You could happily eat (and drink) every meal at the resort. Tortuga Jack's is a fairly easy beach walk away. I last stayed here when it was under renovation. The room was done, but facilities, including the restaurant, were in progress. I still had a great time because the resort is so well placed on the island.

They recently did a good renovation, but you can see some age in the more mechanical items. Plumbing is not silent. A/C unit where I stayed were effective, but made strange sounds. Minor gripes. I never really heard anything from adjacent rooms, so noise was at least functional. That said, I stay here every time I go to Jekyll. These certainly aren't going to be deal breakers. It's a small item that I wouldn't change locations for.

We had grandchildren with us, and our rooms were close to the playground and pool. This facilitated keeping an eye on them while relaxing a little bit ourselves. The beach was non-existent when the tide was in, but most of the day it was out for a long time, and there was plenty of beach, and tide pools for the kids.

The man who checked us in never smiled or welcomed us. He made us feel we were an inconvenience. When we asked a question, he offered no explanation, only a flat, "No." Also, there is a new restaurant there ("24"). However, it was very expensive, even though there was one voucher for the kids, that the desk clerk never told us about. The coffeemaker in the room was a K-cup, difficult to use. We were given 2 coffee vouchers for a place far away, on 3rd floor, which would come at a price after 2 coffees. Many hotels have free coffee for guests, and snacks, or breakfast.

The included breakfast was excellent. The waitstaff were very attentive and the kitchen staff kept the buffet completely stocked. The ocean view location was very nice with a super breeze blowing 24-7. The fire pits were nice on the chilly evenings. We liked the coffee lounge and were given complimentary coffees on all the days we were there. We watched the sunrise on one of the mornings from the balcony of the coffee shop. Our main reason to come to Jekyll was to ride our bikes around the whole island, which we did twice. The hotel was just great and we will definitely stay here again in the future. Buying the island gate/parking pass ($100) was a good move and we nearly paid for it during this one long weekend.

We should have requested a second story room. We had a large and noisy family above us that made sleeping a chore until we bought two floor fans from the Brunswick Walmart. The plug-ins in the rooms were sort of European with angled slots that are not used here in the States. It was hard to plug the fans in and we had to use a lot of force.

Modern renovated rooms in an older, but well maintained motel. Really nice landscaping that blends the hotel in with the dunes and beach. Special amber lights outside at night to not disturb the turtles. Dark skies at night. Many outdoor seating areas, some with (gas) fire pits. Free bike (2hr) rentals. Good-sized clean pool. The new 24 Coastal Grill has a good dinner selection and local beers - thank you AliMea for suggesting the roast Brussels Sprouts as a side dish; they were wonderful!. All servers were great. Very friendly service too at the 3rd floor coffee bar. At times it felt like we were the only ones at the resort and on the beach.

The mattress sagged badly on one side. The breakfast buffet ($20 pp) seemed expensive for what it was; similar selections are usually included in the rate at other hotels. The free bikes need a bit of care; wonky saddles, low tire pressure, that sort of thing,

The location was perfect, the rooms were clean and spacious, great access to the beach. The staff was so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back and will be referring friends and family

No continental breakfast. We was offered a small buffet breakfast at 20.00 per person that included the cereal, muffins, toast and oatmeal, which was on the continental breakfast but now is part of the buffet. I feel this was a bit pricey for someone who did not want the grits eggs potatoes and bacon, actually a bit pricey for what was served all together.

The staff was very helpful. We had several issues and the staff eased our problems

First off they put us at the far end of the building away from all the services even though the hotel was not full. The bathroom sink was clogged and it seemed as if it had been worked on before and not fixed. The hot water in the room was anything but hot, warm at best. The Walls are very then as we could hear everything going on around us including children running. I would not stay there again.

Loved the set up for our family of 3 plus a dog. Quintessential beach hotel, unfussy. Comfortable beds, good water pressure, Dove bath products. We had plenty of space and privacy. We are looking forward to visiting again when the new restaurant is finished. The breakfast buffet was good value combined with the stay and we were given vouchers for free kids meals for the entire stay.

Grounds and beach access.

1. Filthy pool!!! I contracted a urinary tract infection. 2. Bed very umcomfortable (room 126), seems foundation was broken and mattress was slanted towards one side making it difficult to sleep restfully. 3. Construction going on, noisy at times from our room and from pool. We were not informed of this - And when I requested to be changed to another area, the very unfriendly and not nice front desk clerk said there were no more available rooms. 4. Some of the ground furniture had torn upholstery snd could not be used.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The beach view was beautiful. We had trouble at check in due to mishap on booking, a mistake on my part, but the hotel manager was so extremely amazing and went above and beyond to help us. I will definitely only choose this hotel when going back to Jekyll Island. We are extremely thankful for her kindness and helpful personality!!

We liked everything about the hotel, especially the kind staff and clean rooms!! I have already recommended the hotel to many other family members!

The property was beach front and beautiful. Very clean! Awesome views awesome pool very clean as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful anytime I needed anything at all ! Run into a few bumps trying to get the room I had already booked ahead of time but she fixed that immediately and put me into a suite ! It was absolutely awesome and I’d recommend this place a million times over to anyone wanting a beachfront on Jekyll island !
