Located in the heart of the town, a few minutes walk/200 metres from the splendid market square. Also overlooking the river with fabulous views from the front. Parking is in the adjacent side street (ask for tag from Reception to open metal door, all very secure, behind closed doors), book it ahead, extra (but perfectly reasonable) charge. Breakfast is continental only but more than adequate. There are also other good cafes around the market place and a very good bar for local craft beer and tapas La Zinc Authentique in lovely old building just off market place. Tourist office superb for information in English leaflet to assist in history walking tour. Reception at hotel very friendly and helpful with a sense of humour and very speedy to respond to our every need. Highly recommend thus hotel and this interesting and friendly town. Aim for Sunday for the big market.

We had a comfortable good size bedroom. The location is excellent facing the river and a short walk away from the main square and ‘high street’. The staff were excellent especially Sofia and the restaurant a real dining experience. Alexandre the chef creates great dishes. The sauce with the ouef en meurette was perfect and the ris de veau exquisite. Other choices that my wife had - carpaccio and the croquettes were also of a very high standard. Great place to stay and best place to eat. We also used the very secure garage round the corner for our car and bikes.

Being an old building there is no lift.

The hotel is right on the river and there is a secure parking a few blocks away. It would be helpful if they had a little map to help you navigate from the garage when you were leaving. The building itself is not in a tower, but next to it and within a few minutes walk to the center of town. Very comfortable, nice staff, and pleasant restaurant.

Room and view were very good. Clean and comfortable, very little traffic at night . The staff were very helpful and friendly . We booked in for the evening meal, which was a good move, not only was it very good, there was little other choice that we could find nearby of that standard. The parking is close by and secure

Breakfast was adequate at best, not up to the standard of the rest of the stay. The Meusli ran out and no attempt was made to refill it. Not a very wide choice of pastries and those that were there were a bit solid.

The staff were very helpful. The location was great and view from the room was beautiful. The air-conditioning was excellent and the breakfast was very tasty. Having the secure garage parking was a real bonus for us.

It would have been nice to hva e tea/coffee facilities in the room but we did know this prior to arrival

This was our first visit & we wd be likely to use this hotel again. The rooms are in the process of refurbishing; ours was complete and was very attractively presented. Dining and public areas are similarly comfortable and attractive. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast; the chef was very able. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful; one being fluent in English, which was most helpful.

Had everything we needed and all the character to match. Air conditioning in the room lovely balcony with a view of the river. Very friendly staff we got to the property earlier than expected and arranged for us to have access to our room before checkin opened. Beautiful restaurant behind the hotel with a gorgeous little courtyard where we had drinks! Perfect!

Comfy bed and great location, very short walk to square with cafes and Friday market

Reception not open when the restaurant is closed which means you need to enter/exit via a back entrance which is fine but a bit awkward

Right by the river in the beautiful town of Libourne.  the receptionist insisted on carrying both of our suitcases up two flights of stairs, whilst I parked the car. 

Nothing, but if you get back after 9 o’clock be aware, you have to use your room key in the back door to gain entry to the hotel.  my lack of French prevented me from understanding what the receptionist was telling me about this. 

Nice little hotel, perfectly refurbished historic building, balcony and view to the river, good price, great breakfast buffet with eggs, fresh juice and much more. Parking at street possible, a garage for EUR 8 ar 300m distance availlable too. Recommendation.
