Everyone/ALL staff in Compass Margaritaville Medford were excellent, friendly, and had a smile on their face and MOST helpful....I said to my husband "The Compass company, HR must hire a new employe because they have happiness in their heart!!!" Our waitress was ever so much fun, happy and MOST cordial..she was sensational and I said that directly to her.My husband said we've eaten out all around the world and we both think that she was top of our list for any restaurant we have gone to....110%!!! She had a big smile on her face and was so respectful and kind. All the Compass employees were ever so kind, cordial, patient and very polite. We'er going to stay at the Compass Margaritaville hotel one hour trip back home and whenever we derive to Portland to visit our daughter and her hubby. Our first choice hotel!!! it was sensational hotel for our first visit!!!!

Not one thing!!!!!

The breakfast and coffee, drink offerings exceeded our expectations. Lots of fresh items and healthy choices. The restaurant was also very nice right next to the pool. Felt high end. The rooms were clean and modern, beds were super comfy. The hotel has a coastal, tropical vibe. I loved the makeup removers and soap they offer in the rooms. We also were happily surprised that there is a small, walk to casino right across the parking lot from the hotel, (not attached to the hotel) which offers free drinks and coffee to the guests! Super fun! And we hit some bonus slots. We loved it so much here we stayed over night again on our way home!! Winner all the way around and we'd definitely come back here!

Can't think of anything we didn't like about this hotel or the location.

The cleanliness, the decor, happy hour, delicious food, great pool, great bed, big shower, vacation resort vibe, well kept,. Elaine, who took care of the breakfast was awesome. It was the nicest breakfast we’ve had in two week trip. Fresh raspberries, pancakes,fresh fruit, almonds, Greek yogurt, and tasty eggs and potatoes, and three kinds of meats. I would stay here for a couple days for sure. We sure had a nice time at the pool. Made me feel like I was on a cruise.

The only thing that was negative is signing in. It took 25 minutes for them once I paid to finally give me the keys.

This was a stop in the road for us, on a week long road trip, up and down the coast. So i stayed at a variety of hotels. This was my number one choice of hotel during the week. It was unexpected, as the price was lower than I’d expect to have paid for a property of this caliber. The hotel has a real Hawai’i feel immediately you enter the lobby. We arrived in the evening, and went straight to our room. The room was exceptionally appointed, with comfortable beds, large flat screen tv, awesome bathroom, very modern shower and handbasin. Even the tiling behind the handbasin, and the wall lights were beautiful. The toiletries were above average, even included complimentary cotton rounds, q tips, and the most sumptuous make up towelette remover EVER. It was a compressed, pill sized item, embossed with the Compass logo (The star compass) and to activate the towel, you added water, and the towel expands. However what i was not expecting was the delightful jasmine & sandalwood aroma coming from this towelette.Beautiful. The breakfast area is airy, light, and modern, and looks out over the pool and patio area. Breakfast was very good, buffet style, and looked very inviting. Lots of hot selections (French toast fingers, potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patty) fruits, cereals, and bread and pastries. Comprehensive selection of hot drinks and juices completed the line up. It was a very welcoming space, and they had board games, should you want to hang out, or take them onto the patio area. After breakfast, i had a browse around the little gift store, which had t shirts, shorts, themed Crocs (with on -theme Jibbitz attached - a Palm tree, and an Adirondack chair) sunscreens, obviously candy, drinks, all the usual suspects in a hotel convenience store. But i was most pleased to see make up remover towelettes!!I I bought some of those. This hotel is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at, including the one we got married in on Maui. Clean, pristine, welcoming, amazing!

I could find nothing bad to say about this hotel at all. It’s wonderful.

It's an odd location but so worth the discovery. An oasis with a mini tropical resort vibe -exactly what you expect of anything inspired by Jimmy Buffet. It features an outdoor heated pool and we enjoyed watching kids from a softball team making the most of it during the early evening hours. We really like the Five o'clock Somewhere bar and the menu is perfect for a bite with a cocktail after a day of driving. The rooms are a nice size, lovely bathroom and shower, spotless and comfortable bed. There is a mini fridge in the room for your water or soda. My husband loves the breakfast buffet in the morning that offers a pretty extensive array including scrambled eggs, breakfast meats and potatoes. I enjoy the toast and fruit. We have stayed here for the last three years on our anniversary trips to Lake Tahoe. Not once have we been disappointed in the service, room or staff. Everyone is very nice.

It used to be a better value but we enjoy it enough that we decided to go over our usual road trip room budget.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and welcoming from the time we checked in until we checked out. We have stayed at this location multiple times and it is always excellent. Extremely dog friendly and the parking lot and grounds are always well kept and we feel safe and comfortable taking our dog out. Are 6 year old daughter loves to stay and swim in the pool when the weather is nice and we love the breakfast in the morning!

Honestly, I don't have a lot of input on this one. I can be pretty picky and I have pretty high standards when it comes to cleanliness and customer service. Every time we stay at The Compass Hotel my expectations are always met and then some. It is well worth the money spent every time. Thank you!

This is in a great location in south Medford and the property is beautiful! The lobby and grounds are very nice and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and well decorated. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to do some extra things for us. The firepits outside are great!

Our biggest disappointment was that we selected this hotel above some others specifically because they said they had a heated pool. Unfortunately while we were there, they were having issues with the pool heater and the water was far too cold for us to swim at any point during our stay---quite disappointing!

This is our second year staying in this hotel because it is amazing! It is kept extremely clean and smells delicious! The restaurant/bar on the property serves amazing food and drinks! There is an outdoor pool which is the reason we chose this hotel the first time we visited. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The rooms are a great size and the bathroom is bright and has products that are high quality.

That the buffet breakfast is the same all the time

It is a great location, very nice hotel, for a night or two. Probably best stay is for the summer.

Is overrated, housekeeping didn’t clean up well, no microwave in your room, what??, no hot tub, pool is outside. My wife tried but it wasn’t heated enough. For the price , the food is not great, we had better food at the restaurants outside. Staff was overwhelming nice, we don’t need that, just keep it simple and professional. We stayed 5 nights, which is enough to have a pretty good idea about staying at this hotel.

The property was very clean and smelled amazing in every room. The showers are extremely nice and the staff was so kind and helpful. Also the breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve seen.

The pool was nice but very warm for a hot summer day, it was almost like being in a hot tub and I would have loved for it to be colder during the day since it was so warm, but the heat was nice after sundown. The beds were also a little too firm for my comfort level but very clean and very well taken care of.
