Pros: Staff were ALL very helpful!!! Room was very cute! Beds clean and comfortable. Housekeeping very good! the location was superb for our without car needs. Cozy and cool room. This room was basic but had EVERYTHING we needed. Peaceful neighborhood at night Beautiful view of the hills and trees!

The pool was not available during our stay and yet we were charged $20 extra for ? The hotel is old and creaky floors in the upstairs rooms. A little run down (e.g. shower and tub need a refresh) Walls are very thin fortunately our neighbors quieted down after 11pm. Needs more privacy blinds or half curtains in the window. (room 205) upstairs, facing pizza restaurant tables and car park. Needs brighter lighting in the room for when it gets dark. Rusty stairs need updating and possible alternative option for elderly guests to get upstairs or at least get luggage safely to upstairs room.

The property is well located for a trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Although it is not walking distance, the driving routes to the festival are short and direct. There is a lovely coffee shop a block away and good lunch and dinner options near the motel. There is also a very nice market next door. It was quiet, especially for being located on a major arterial. The room was clean and well equipped with a microwave, coffeemaker, and refrigerator. We enjoyed the nearby university grounds and bookstore.

The motel is a little dated, but still clean and comfortable.

The rates were very affordable, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the staff were all so lovely. The AC made the room crisp during nearly 100 degree days. The bed was comfortable (although it creaked) and the room was clean. I was able to park right in front of my room. Parking lot is small but wasn’t packed all day. Pizza spot next door and grocery, nail salon, etc. on the other side. Very convenient location for freeway access and quick trips to/from Medford. SOU directly across the street. Quiet area. The traditional room keys were cute.

I was on the bottom floor. Walls were very thin so I could hear people talking outside my unit, traffic on the road, the door slamming in the unit over, and people walking, cleaning, etc. in the unit upstairs. If you’re a light sleeper or get annoyed by these things it might not be tolerable. The nearest EV charger (just one) was at a gas station about a mile or less away. The ones at SOU are only for staff/students. Other chargers in/around Medford.

Finding reasonable accommodations in Ashland can be difficult, especially with the Shakespeare Festival in full bloom. Timbers Inn provided a nice, air conditioned (it was over 100 degrees), clean room for a reasonable cost. When I first saw the reviews on Booking.com I wondered why a budget motel would get such high scores. Now I know. Clean, quiet rooms and very friendly staff make this an above average experience. Note: check out the Morning Glory restaurant 2 blocks away for the best breakfast I've had in all of Oregon.

It could have been closer to the downtown area. We had to drive in.

The furnishings might be dated and a lot loved, but this place is CLEAN! Really impressed with the cleaning crew. Not even leftover hairs in the restroom from the previous people and pets.

I mean, if I had to be picky about something, I'd like two bags of regular coffee. But that's a personal thing and I'm completely capable of bringing my own or going out to get some. I don't have anything bad to say. It's a perfect place that is extraordinarily clean (I couldn't even smell that it was a pet room) and for the price, I felt like I was royalty with the extra savings to spend on local companies. Way to boost your economy!

I travel through Ashland a lot for work, and I love this motel. They're great! I've stayed in every legit motel and hotel in Ashland and for the value I receive, I choose to stay at the Timber's Inn. The rooms are always clean, always safe, and the staff are super welcoming. They put in all new internet so the WiFi is reliable and fast! I've had a long standing relationship with Ashland for many years and so have watched new management come in and have seen the dedication and care they are taking to renovate, room by room and upgrade the whole facility. It feels good to stay in a place where one can feel the care being put into it and this shows also in how well guests are treated during their stay. I encourage people to give this historic Ashland community Inn a chance, and to come back and see how they're upgrading over time! They are good people who will help you with what you need, and you will have a good stay and feel welcome!

I want to say that there could be a light breakfast option of some kind... but also except in the most expensive hotels, the whole breakfast thing is usually not good, so I see why they don't do it; and the motel is located right next to a solid market and many local breakfast places within a short drive.

The room was very clean and well-appointed. The shower/bath area large and well-stocked with everything needed. Check in was a breeze, with the door code and room number texted ahead of time it was no issue getting in or leaving.

There seems to be no ice machine, at least we couldn't find one and no ice bucket was on hand. Perhaps it was due to the room having a kitchenette? But there was no ice tray either, so perhaps not. We survived. The table for eating at was a small rectangle with high top chairs. One chair wiggled and probably should be replace. We prefer regular sized tables and chairs, but it isn't a deal-breaker. It would have been nice to have a comfortable side chair to sit in. As it was you either sat on the bed or dangled at the high top. Being in our mid 70's, we are always looking for comfort.

The location was surprisingly handy. There were a couple of restaurants a few steps across the back parking lot and a REALLY nice market with everything you might need. There is a nice pool right bt the front office and it was actually nicely fenced off for privacy. Things that are important to me. It was clean, had great water pressure, air conditioned, and quiet.

It could use a few updates, but overall it was a great stay.

The room was clean. We stayed in a Queen Room with Three Queen Beds. The room was clean. The configuration was nice, with two beds next to each other, then a partial dividing wall (no door) and the third queen bed near the bathroom. There was no breakfast available or included as far as I know - not that we expected it. There was plenty of shampoo, conditioner and soap provided.

The curtains had a gap when closed (with street lights from outside shining in), so we used a towel to cover the gap. The armoire couldn't be closed, as the refrigerator was next to it preventing the left door from closing. Not a huge deal - I was trying to cover up the light that shines from the TV. I covered it with a bag instead.

Very friendly staff, easy check in. Room and property are clean. Location is perfect for our needs in Ashland. We have stayed here several times and like The Timbers for its reliability as a good place to stay. Super comfy bed and bedding. Great hot water.

The Timbers stopped providing a breakfast, which did not matter to us, as we never took advantage of it. Wish the pool would stay open until 10 p.m.. The rooms could use some upgrading, but they are clean. A night stand on both sides of the bed would be nice. Any time we have stayed there, there has only been one.
