It’s such a sweet hotel with classic style and antics decoration whilst being great quality and not worn out. The place has a lots lots of character, old furniture and some tiny cosmetic imperfections which add up to the charm. My room was in the Annexe part of the hotel and was spacious and really clean with a big bathroom, little quirky things like the cupboard under the stairs with carpet from the 70s and vintage paintings and furniture. The mattress was one of the most comfortable I have slept on in hotel in years and they have feather pillows which - in my opinion- are always the best. I would definitely recommend the Dandy Hotel for either long or short stay.

The only thing I would have liked better in my room was some diner light bulb for the small lamp so it’s not has harsh when going to bed.

My room was on the top floor and had beautiful antique looking furniture and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated with nice fittings. Other reviews have commented on street noise. I was there in August but luckily it wasn't very warm so I didn't need to keep the window opened and I wasn't disturbed by noise. Hotel reception staff were kind and helpful.

The breakfast choice could be a little more extensive given the price. I loved my stay in this hotel but I was disappointed by one aspect. The day of my departure (a Sunday) there was no facility for left luggage (keys were to be left at reception but reception was unattended). I checked afterwards if there had been some information about this elsewhere (for example via email) but I didn't find anything (maybe I missed it?). It was slightly annoying to lug my bag around the city before my train left. I wasn't spending all day Sunday in Rouen and I would certainly have been far more annoyed if I had booked an evening train. I feel this is important information to share with customers well in advance.

- Great location on car-free Rue Cauchoise, which also houses a variety of eateries that seem to cater for all tastes and budgets. Also very easy walking distance to the train station. One of those places that feels close enough to all the must-see landmarks in the centre-ville but at the end of the day you can return to your safe haven, away from the throngs. - I had a room on the top floor and could look out over the rooftops of Rouen. - Staff were friendly and professional.

Room was immaculately clean and beautifully updated in a classical style, jaw dropping so! Whomever chose the finishes, right down to the sea-creature chrome cup holder, really has an eye. The clawfoot tub was so classy and so relaxing! Great choice. This is probably the nicest place we’ve stayed 3 weeks in France, and so reasonably priced at that. The bedding was luxury, we slept very well! I cannot recommend it enough, and I’m so picky! The location was great and parking not so bad for being in the middle of a medieval city.

The hotel is very well run , And as they had promised on our previous overnight stay . the internet was up and running o.k. The breakfast room is very clean and smart , lots to eat, I do think that if they had some ham. it would go well with the eggs, cheeses, and great choose of breads, But that's just a small thing, because it is very good , and also it's very easy to follow the signs to car park when you arrive And very near to the hotel lots of good restaurants , and bars

not a lot , nothing with the hotel , But the places in the sub. car park are very tight .

We found the hotel a short walk from the car park , Very smart, and a really clean hotel . the shower room was very good and top quality fittings . bed very comfortable , hotel near to good bars and many good restaurants.

Really only the fact that there was a problem with the new Wifi system they had just had installed and was not able to use it, not a problem for my laptop but as i had some work to do on my ipad both at night and in the morning before we left it was difficult In the evening i was able to go to a local bar and use there's but had to miss the morning session

We were greeted by an extremely nice receptionist. The room was clean and well maintained. The furniture was real antiques. Bathroom was great, although there was a leak in the shower. The double windows isolated all the noise from the main street.

There was no air conditioning in the room. This was not a problem for us because the temperatures in July were very low.

Just a short overnight stay between Poitiers & the ferry , Think it was our 4th or 5th time staying here, Not a lot of choose for breakfast, But What there is is good, very clean breakfast room and tables ,as is the whole hotel

As we get older a bit of distance to walk with bags from car park , and the hill gets steeper!! but no problem for younger folk I am sure

While don't recall asking for a "quiet"room, our room did face the street with many cafes (no cars) and one cafe directly across from our room was still noisy at 2 AM. Not a reason to negatively impact our rating as we did enjoy our stay and to reiterate the staff was exceptional as was the location.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The beautiful, historical town centre is literally a stone's throw from Hotel Dandy. A short walk also to the train station. The room was spotless and spacious, as was the bathroom. The shower was fabulous. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the hotel was excellent value for money.

I have no complaints. If you are arriving on Sunday just be aware that many of the attractions and shops in Rouen are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Also make sure that you check the hotel opening hours as it is closed for part of the day. Once you check in you will be given a key for the front door. On the day of arrival you may have to wait a while before checking in and on your day of departure you may not be able to leave your luggage for safe keeping while you go for a ramble around this wonderful town.
