Totally agree with the other glowing reviews of this well-run boutique motel in Geelong, probably better than all the competition! Very friendly and welcoming front reception staff give a great impression. I requested a quiet room and for the first time in a long time my whole stay was at near-silence; the rooms are well insulated from noise, better than some name brand hotel chains! The room was spacious, well appointed with quality fixtures and fittings, a comfy bed and good lighting. The shower pressure was excellent and everything just worked. This was a spotless room, just perfect for a weekend away. Thanks. Petrol station across the road and Settlement Fish and Chips is just down the road....wow!

Closer to Waurn Ponds/ Belmont than Geelong but who cares?

My 1963 Morris Minor Traveller needed a new clutch return spring. The Rose Garden Motel provided a coat hanger and a large quantity of rubber bands. With these I made a temporary spring which sufficed for the approximately 4 mile trip to the Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal. For going on a daylight sailing on the ferry to Tasmania (with an early morning start), the Rose Garden Motel in Geelong VIC is in an excellent location. If you are coming from Devonport TAS to Geelong VIC on a daylight trip, the Rose Garden Motel would be an excellent place to stay after you exit the ferry. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Another excellent stay at this well-run motel, perfect for my return visit to Waurn Ponds. They really get the basics right at this motel. Most things work as they should such as the excellent shower pressure and hot water, comfortable bed, generous room dimensions and friendly staff upon check in. It is also quiet with good sound proofing.

Cost about $50 more this time than the last time I stayed, strangely. Maybe they don't like repeat guests...The Daiken air con remote was bizarrely tuned to fahrenheit rather than celsius. I haven't seen that since staying in America more than a decade ago...Provided Sony DVD player comes with a useless Samsung remote control...

Excellent value, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, what more could you want? I've stayed in much more expensive motels which weren't this good.

This is an older style motel run by a family. The room was very spacious and quiet. There was a front and rear door, the rear door opening to a fully fenced child's play area with BBQ and also a separately fenced pool. There was an adjoining bedroom with 3 single beds, ideal for a family of 5. The motel I used to stay at in Geelong had just become too expensive, so I decided to "shop around". Rose Garden was lovey and great value. It will be my choice of motel in Geelong in the future.

It was our 1st time staying at the Rose Garden Motel and we absolutely loved it. When we arrived in our room the side table lights were left on for us which was a lovely gesture. The staff are lovely. It's a really lovely Motel. We had the best sleep. A little noise from the traffic but it quietened down after a short time. The room was very accommodating had everything we needed and clean. Was very surprised how big the bathroom was. Would definitely stay again next time we are in Geelong. We had undercover parking right at our door. Outdoor setting out the front. There is a salt water pool. From our room we could open the slide out door to go out the back. Close to shops and not far from the beach. Loved the roses. The grounds and gardens are kept immaculate. Really can not fault the place.

We stayed at this motel for 3 nights as we wanted a base on that side of Geelong to access events on the coast. The property is very well presented sitting on a service road off the main highway. It was very quiet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, very clean and well equipped and good size parking spots. Convenient for the local RSL and other restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable stay with spacious rooms and great kitchen facilities, making it very convenient and easy. Very friendly reception staff and great outdoor activities too.

The heating was confusing to navigate, and would've liked to be given more explicit rules about cleanup before checkout. Otherwise everything was great!

How welcome the staff make u feel, and how it just feels like a home away from home. I try to stay here 1st when coming to Geelong .. For the simple facts Nice staff. Great location. You get what u pay for .

In my opinion this is the best presented family run motel I have seen in over 40 years in the hospitality industry as an owner and operator. Wholeheartedly recommended. I congratulated Sarah on the appearance, cleanliness, facilities and friendliness.Top marks from me.
