Such a lovely welcome, no charge for our dog which is rare these days. Comfortable bed, bath and shower and the bonus for me was the coffee machine in the room instead of usual instant coffee sachets. Lovely location, pub was quaint with a great garden area. Basic breakfast but was perfect for us to grab a croissant and some fruit for our journey. Really lovely place, will definitely come again when in the area.

Next to a road which could be noisy but it didn't bother us tbh. It was a hot evening needed to open the windows, a fan would've been a bonus but we didn't ask for one so perhaps they are available on request. Again it didn't effect our stay.

My evening meal was not as good as i had hoped - somewhat soggy fish and undercooked chips, not the lovely crisp battered meal i had envisioned! But as I was starving I still managed to eat most of it so it wasn't inedible at all. Breakfast, which was complimentary, offered the basics, and as I'm not a big breakfaster I did not indulge so cannot comment on quality.

My stay here was wonderful. From the moment I arrived staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and informative. There is a cozy, inviting atmosphere and lots of additional touches in the room such as a coffee maker and pods, free easy access WIFI and just little decorative touches that help add a uniqueness. The complimentary self service breakfast was a fantastic bonus, with plenty of options to choose from and the view from my window was a lovely way to start the day.

We stayed at the Trooper Inn for two nights and absolutely loved our experience. The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, which made our stay all the more relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely touch, and the staff were always kind and welcoming. Overall, everything was just right for a peaceful getaway, and we’d happily recommend the Trooper Inn to anyone. We look forward to returning in the future!

Loved everything.

Friendly welcome. Very clean in the public areas and the bedroom. Very comfy bed and good sized room and bathroom. Good quality coffee machine in the room with a range of coffee pods. Simple check-in and check-out. Biker friendly. I was able to park behind the hotel on hard-standing which was safer for my bike. The free self-service breakfast provided a great variety of choice of items as well as tea, coffee, fruit juice and water which gave us a very good start to the day.

The road traffic was quite noisy at times but it didn't stop us sleeping very well in the comfy bed!

Chris was very welcoming, friendly and gave a thorough explanation of the facilities, bar/restaurant closing and breakfast times. The pub was very clean, lots of natural light and a great outdoor area - both back and front. Lots of parking too. I was traveling by bicycle and they were very accommodating regarding safe storage overnight. Really liked the bar for layout, food, drinks - and music! Friendly locals too.

I cannot fault

The room was very spacious and very comfortable. You don’t deal with anyone, you get a text with your code to enter property and room. We have not seen anyone apart when we went to the quiet pub and ordered some food. You can get coffee and tea in the room and as well in the breakfast area. They let us get some milk in the evening for my toddler which was very convenient.

The breakfast was included in the price which was great but there was no fresh food apart from milk and fruits like apple and bananas. It was a continental breakfast.

The Trooper was clean, comfortable and a delight to stay at. I didn't sample the food as I slept through the serving times in the evening, however I was assured, by another guest, that it was reasonably priced and very tasty. Breakfast which is complimentary was varied and wholesome, however no cooked breakfasts.

Everything was good,,, however the room had a bath as opposed to a shower, not a big drawback though. I had difficulty using the coffee maker in the room, however Chris said he'd put instructions in the room in future.

Many thanks to host / manager Chris, he was so organised in arranging my special requests for my husbands birthday, he really made our stay so special and we had a wonderful time, the room upgrade was such a treat! Everything was clean and fresh and dinner at the pub was delish! The free continental breakfast had everything and more you could wish for. This was our 2nd visit here and we’ll def be back! Brought a cuppa tea at the bar and nearly fell over at the price. Did not buy again. As a resident if it had been cheaper I probably would of purchased many times perhaps a residents discount for tea and coffee at the bar would actually generate extra income for the pub
