It was very clean and the amenities were excellent; the rooms and pool area were beautiful and the water feature was magnificent

I thought 2 coffee machines in the breakfast dining area was far from adequate when you are paying alot of money for a 5 star hotel you shouldn't have to queue for a table or for a coffee

Got a very good deal for the junior suite which came with lounge access where we enjoyed very nice drinks and canapes in the evening for adults only on weekdays.

We took the junior suite since it has more room for my family of 5. The staff told us that this was a special exception (only max of 4 pax allowed in the room) and if we come back the following year we would need two rooms since we are a family of 5. But it wouldn't make sense to be separated on a family staycation and my children are still very young. We did not even request for any additional beds and were fine to make do with the existing bed arrangement. I think the information could be delivered in a more sensitive way that makes sense for a family with young children.

Beautiful hotel now and even more so back in its day! Staff were friendly, helpful and well presented. There is a gift shop selling all types of chocolate treats and savoury breads and danishes. Prices where surprisingly very reasonable. The room was spacious Tower Wing King enough for 2 adults and a child. The bed was very comfortable with the room facing the pool. The hotel also gave us a kids sofabed on request. Amenities were enough for our 4 day stay, complete with a coffee machine and plenty of teas to choose from . We travelled during Easter, my daughter was given a goodie bag at check-in & had an Easter quest to do and given a prize upon completion. There was also a nice chocolate bunny waiting for her in our room. My daughter loved the pool, splash area, the bubs club (looks small from outside but once inside it's huge) and lastly the baking class with the chef cooking some delicious treats for us. Our staycation included breakfast and we found the continental selection was perfectly laid out with lots of hot/cold drinks to choose from. There was also a separate kids area (bakery class room) where children can grab their chosen food and naughty treats. The Spa was very relaxing and professional. The gym (mixed) was great and ample equipment for all to use. We had a good time enjoying the jacuzzi, sauna & steam rooms. This area is separate male and female only areas. We will definitely stay again for our next trip back to Singapore, great location and easy access to local shopping centres, walk or $6 taxi.

The only small things we noticed were that in places it looked a little rundown. The sofabed in our Tower Wing Deluxe looked slightly sun damaged and a bit tatty. The room is in an odd shape and some furniture could be placed differently. The room decoration looks old. Pillows are extra large but really soft, even with two each it only felt like one. The jacuzzi was worn in places with fibreglass coming off. But these are my findings and won't affect your stay one bit.

Lovely, spacious room with a great outlook. The pool is lovely, both to swim in and to sit beside for dinner. We loved the Waterfall Italian restaurant. The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful and the service, meals and wines were all top class. We also enjoyed the on site gardens. The buffet breakfast is fabulous, though pricey.

Nothing - everything was great. Potential guests do need to be aware though that it is a self-contained resort some distance from the main city and there is no public transport handy.

One of the most beautiful hotels in Singapore, it was a wonder and delight to stay here. I loved that the hotel was immaculate, and had lush gardens incorporated all around. The main pool was fabulous and had two shallower sections for small children. We loved that for Easter the whole lobby was decorated and children were given chocolate easter bunnies on the sunday. We utilised the free shuttle bus to the shopping malls on Orchard Rd regularly.

While the hotel has every amenity you can think of (e.g children's splash park seperate to main pool, kids play centre, buffet breakfast) all these cost you additionally even though we were guests of the hotel. The children's splash park was fun, but guests only had free access for half a day, then after that you had to pay. The other thing we really struggled with was getting a taxi for a family of 5. The lobby/entrance staff only helped with opening doors and luggage but not ringing up or hailing taxis. There were 3 separate occasions we were not able to get a taxi for at least 20-30 mins. For a luxury hotel they really should have a staff member there to assist guests with taxis.

The Valley wing was absolutely exceptional experience. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful- Best chorizo poached eggs I've ever had. They were also very accommodating with a baby. The staff was super nice.

That all the kids zones were charged extra. My baby would have loved to play in the play room for 30min but it didn't seem worth the price just for such a short play. It should be free at least for kids under 4 that you cannot leave unsupervised anyways. I understand paying extra for childcare if you leave them unsupervised but if I am also going to spend my time watching my kid I don't see why it is charged entrance. Also the rest of the hotel (apart from the valley wing) is very outdated. The interior of the breakfast in the normal area looks like a cheap cafeteria. They desperately need some renovation look the same like from 15 years ago when I last visited.

Allowed early check in. The day we left we had a very late flight and asked for a late check out which was granted and the check out time, 2 PM, was very helpful. We also were able to store our luggage while we went out to do some sightseeing since we had such a late flight. This was VERY convenient.

The hotel was recommended by a friend and for some reason we got the impression that breakfast was included in the price (it's not), This may not be a legitimate concern considering how expensive Singapore is but we felt the cost of breakfast was too high ($38). While the choice of food is extensive it was far more than what I felt was necessary. A simple continental style breakfast that was included in the cost of the room would have been sufficient.

The room was beautiful, comfortable king size bed with great pillows. The bathroom had great water pressure and a rainfall shower head with a separate bath tub. The amenities were amazing - The gym had a lot of equipment, the pool was large, a jacuzzi and sauna were available as well. There were many options available for dining - at least 7!

I wish it were closer to an MRT or bus stop for public transportation. The closest walk to the bus stop was 8 minutes - but in the heat could feel longer. They did have a shuttle available hourly that would drop you off and pick you up from two destinations - that was nice

We had such a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Singapore. The whole experience really delivered that "happy place" vibe for both us and the kids. The food across the hotel was consistently excellent — great variety, beautifully done, and with that signature Asian hospitality that makes everything feel extra thoughtful. The pool area was a total hit, especially with the kids, and the splash park was honestly next level — so well-designed, safe, and just pure fun. We also spent time at Buds, the hotel's soft play area, which deserves its own shout-out. It’s not just a little play zone tucked away somewhere — it’s properly done, creative, and our little ones had the best time there. But what really stood out most was the staff. Truly 11/10. Warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely with the kids — they made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the location. While the hotel itself feels like a lush, peaceful bubble (which is a big part of its charm), getting around is pretty taxi-dependent. Singapore is super easy to navigate generally, but here you’re looking at taxis most of the time rather than walking or hopping on the MRT. That said, if you’re happy to lean into that, everything else more than makes up for it. Would absolutely recommend for families looking for a mix of fun, relaxation, and five-star care.

One of the best breakfast spreads anywhere in the world. There are more than enough stations of different kinds of cuisine. The rooms are fairly well appointed and comfortable. Imaginative spaces for kids on the breakfast floor. Great lobby with plenty of space. A very neat dressing table with lights. Disturbed on one of the nights with a bunch of folks and kids running in the corridors, screaming as they went between rooms. Quietened down after the Manager intervened very promptly after a complaint was made. Not much the hotel can do about badly behaved guests but good to know they dont look the other way.

Probably a better staffed bell desk where porters are assisting would help for a high priced hotel. Rooms are odd shaped, accentuated by the diagonal placement of beds - needs getting used to.
