We booked two rooms for one night for my daughter`s graduation. The establishment is well located and a walk to shops and restaurants as well as the university and the Danie Craven stadium. But , for a few places where improvements could be made, overall a pleasant stay. Thank you.

had a concern though about the reservation, we booked two rooms and would have preferred the two closer together- not one next to the pool and the other the loft suite. Moreso as there were TWO similar rooms vacant on the first floor. Breakfast staff were a bit tardy with their service, coffee took ages to refill.

Great location and felt secure. We got the standard double and was plenty big enough. The building is beautiful, loads of character with lovely high ceilings. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was fantastic! Fresh water put in the fridge each day. We met a few different staff on reception and all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a small menu but delicious and some nice pastries and fruit salad self serve. View outside was lovely (pictured). Definitely recommend!

Nothing- loved it.

Very nice large room with some nice personal touches, such as topping up the free aperitif and the water bottle in the good sized fridge. Great location and easy to walk to cafes, restauarants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too.

As we were at the front of the building there was some noise at night from traffic and loud people (probably university students).

Neat to stay in this very old home that was converted to accommodations, it is in a good location with lots within walking distance in Stellenbosch. Staff was friendly allowed us to store bags before our room was available and also on our departure allowed use to use the facilities. Breakfast was good. Room was clean but also of course dated as it is an older building,

Nice that they have a pool, but also was very cold so didn't get to use it. Had some bugs which I understand is normal in stellies/SA - although room was clean.

This is such a charming guesthouse in keeping with the Victorian theme throughout. Outstanding staff from reception to breakfast service-- impeccable. The ladies in reception were beyond kind and helpful in every way, often going out of their way to accommodate our requests. Lovely breakfast to start the day off right. Our room was fit for royalty-- magical in its antiquity and comfortable in every way. The central location makes walking excursions convenient and is close to a multitude of wonderful dining options. It's also a great starting point for wine tasting tours. This accommodation did not disappoint in any way.

The staff are lovely, extremely comfortable beds, super-fluffy towels, very clean, parking on site and a great location. The breakfast was also great with a broad selection from the and a menu for cooked items

We would honestly struggle to find fault. The only tiny drawback that I can come up with was that we were in a converted outbuilding that had a couple of low frosted glass windows without blinds. I fashioned up a window cover with a backpack and some towels as otherwise the room would have been quite light from the outside lights on the garden path - it was only a slight issue with light and not a privacy issue as the glass is very frosted. This didn’t impact our stay and we were actually sad we hadn’t planned to stay longer

Beautiful inside and out. Located just outside the centre, just a 2 minute walk away. Safe, private parking. Lovely options for breakfast, and even prepare a packed breakfast if leaving early. Jeanine and Stephanie really make sure you’re well looked after. Only wish I could have stayed longer.

Nothing.

We stayed 3 nights here and it was such a nice part of our trip. Firstly the place is lovely. Its cosy, well maintained, clean and felt very safe... The staff are also a big part of it, Jeanine in particular went above and beyond to make our stay what it was with recommendations of local hikes, answered a ton of questions we had, very personable. She runs the place very well in all aspects. Very impressed with everything.

Nothing.

Communication was great. We arrived and were showed to the room by a friendly staff member. The vintage decor in the rooms and breakfast area were magical bringing up a nostalgia for the cottage style homes you would find in Tokai or Clanwilliam. The room sported a usable balcony & incredible skylights in both the bed and bathroom. The shower was adequate and the room itself quite homely. Breakfast was excellent with a chef providing perfectly made poached eggs and willing to go the extra mile of replacing the bacon with mushrooms. Bonus: I only eat custard danishes and lo and behold to my definite pleasure that is the delicacy that was provided. Thank you :).

The only gripe i would have is the two single beds moved together. You can never escape the joint between the two beds.

A lovely experience! This small guesthouse/hotel with spacious rooms, good facilities and an excellent breakfast. The location is great for exploring the town of Stellenbosch and the surrounding towns and vineyards. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming.
