We can’t speak highly enough of Edinbane Lodge. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations. The staff were very attentive to our needs and could not have done more for us. Special mention to Alan in the Customer Service and Whiskey bar who is a fantastic guy and really looked after us. The staff in the breakfast area could not have been better. One sort pf negative is that the area is remote and there is not much around the actual lodge but that was easily overcome with a short drive. Highly recommend the lodge and make sure to try one of Alan’s Martini’s! 👍👍

The remoteness, however it is what it is and we were aware prior to booking.

There were lots of little touches, that did add something special like the homemade shortbread in the room; the local pottery mugs, the little milk jug in the fridge. The bathroom was beautiful and Ultra modern with a huge bath and its own TV, including waterproof remote control! The bedroom had a little outside area near a stream, which was lovely, but the weather did not allow us to use that. The dinner, which we had one night was very special, the restaurant had accommodated all our dietary requirements, and dishes were beautifully and artistically presented. We appreciated that all the ingredients were locally and sustainably sourced, including the restaurant having its own farm. Things like homemade bread at breakfast were wonderful, as were the non vegetarian cooked options. The staff were very friendly and professional.

Given the price I was expecting a much bigger bedroom. In fact, the bedroom was very small, had no AC and did not have much cupboard space. The cupboard was too small to put the ironing board into if you wanted to access the drawers or the fridge. The breakfast buffet was really limited: tiny ready made boxes of cereal and a small fruit bowl. Was expecting much more!

It is a very nice hotel on Isle of Sky and we especially liked the restaurant and our dinning experience. The food was great, the service was impeccable with attention to every detail. I would highly recommend to come her for dinner if you like gourmet experience. In the room itself, I liked the beds, the shower and the towels - very comfortable. We had our own patio area on the back but could not really use it because of the weather. The hotel staff was very friendly and very customer oriented. Highly recommend to stay here.

I expected the room itself to be a bit bigger, but in fact it was spacious enough with a separate wardrobe area and big bathroom.

Beautiful hotel, really amazing, friendly and helpful hotel employees. We had few issues with the room after first night and hotel, even that we didn't asked for anything specific - upgraded us to amazing room, so basically we forgot about issues and enjoyed the stay. But anyway, my suggestion is that 5 star hotel can't have such obvious issues with rooms like missing hangers in bathroom, phone that lights up by itself every 30 minutes like a flashlight, very loud refrigerator and most importantly - bed mattresses, that are obviously totally worn out plus synthetic sheets and pillows. These are the details, that makes 5 star hotel a 5 star hotel. But just because the hotel found a solution for us, without us asking anything specific - I will rate it 9. Breakfast - perfect. Dinner tasting menu in restaurant - 10/10 - that was one of the best tasting menus we ever had.

Only the things I already mentioned - there are few issues with room, that should not be in a 5 star hotel.

The property was lovely and very high class. The room was spacious and luxurious. The bathroom had a shower and a tub! And there was a separate sitting area. The staff were so friendly and helpful! We had some rental car trouble, and they helped me make phone calls and let me use the phone in the lobby when the phone in our room wouldn’t connect internationally, which really reduced my stress. The place was so relaxing!

It was a little out of the way and the food was very expensive. Although it was award winning and delicious.

Huge rooms, clean and very very comfortable with complementary coffee, tea, shortbread and water. Biiiig amazing bathroom. Lovely receptionist helped with our luggage and parking is right next to the Lodge. Breakfast was nice as well, no problems with checkout. Bar is open as well!

If you’re not pre booked for the restaurant there, you should definitely grab some dinner on your way there, else it’ll be hard to find something suitable. Also very expensive… But it was really nice

Clean and quiet rooms, sound proofed well. Good complimentary selection of coffee, tea and light snacks. Friendly wonderful staff. Shower water pressure was wonderful and run very hot-had one of the best showers out of all the places we stayed on this trip. The soups were boutique and had a wonderful smell as well. Delicious dinner tasting menu (although on the expensive side for the amount and variety of dishes included) on offer from the restaurant, well thought out and inventive. Breakfast was good as well, with a selection of egg dishes, bread, and porridge.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for no reason that interrupted our sleep and give us quite the scare. The staff promptly apologized in the morning, so in general we chulked it up to 'an unfortunate accident'

The location was lovely. We just spent one night there- our last on the islands- so it was our last night splurge. The tasting me dinner was superb- one of the best I have ever had, and fun to boot. It was more expensive than anticipated, especially since we did not consume alcohol, but even if I had been warned ahead of time, I still would have gone for the sheer artistry of the meal. Breakfast was very good and convenient. Did I mention our bathroom? OMG. We left early the next morning so had limited time there. Even so, the toy squirrel I traveled with (taking pictures for my granddaughter) gave Edinbane lodge two non- articulated thumbs up!

The place was beautiful. Decor, size, comfort, facilities, the extra touches - all amazing! Breakfast was fantastic.

We thought we were going to be able to have dinner at the in house restaurant but sadly it was not opened on Saturday night. So ended up going to a pub around the corner for very a very poor quality meal. But given the location and after a day of driving, the location doesn’t allow many alternative options.

Lovely property. Will stay there again if I'm even in the area, and would love to have dinner downstairs. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and decorated very thoughtfully. Loved the use of local art and stoneware throughout.

Breakfast was good, but woud have preferred earlier serving times. Only real complaint, which is so minor, is a lack of electrical plugs in the room. I had to unplug lamps to use an empty outlet. The narrow spital staircase going upstairs is slightly perilous too, but to be exepcted from a 1600's building. Otherwise, brilliant stay!
