The very friendly and helpful staff, including the first class Tatiana on reception and her colleague (whose name I didn’t get), who sorted tea making facilities in our room and Inês, at the rooftop bar, who gave us an excellent explanation of the local regional wines. Very clean and comfortable room with great air conditioning. Nice rooftop bar with great view of the old town and university. Good breakfast. Great location very close to the heart of the old town.

I’m not a fan of capsule type coffee machines at breakfast but otherwise nothing.

Clean and professional hotel with a wonderful breakfast. There is a cute rooftop bar. Location is right across from the train station and a block to the river. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance as well as a close mini mart. It was very easy to walk to all the things we wanted to see. Comfy room with every thing you need and good air conditioning. The in room cable had shows in several languages and there was a mini-fridge.

There was a lot of traffic in the area, but I believe most of this was due to rerouting traffic for the Metro Mondego electric bus project construction that was ongoing during our stay.

The location was great. Central to the town and sight seeing tour. We were able to visit the two cathedrals, museum, Aquaduct, university and botanical gardens. All within easy reach of the hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean with a nice little balcony. Breakfast was good. Reception staff welcoming and helpful.

Check in was tricky as there was no allocated car parking spaces for dropping off our bags. Local taxi drivers were a bit grumpy as we had to use the taxi rank outside the hotel whilst we unloaded our car. We then moved our car to a car park down the road. Not a problem, but the taxi drivers were grumpy again when we called back to pick up our bags after our stay. The receptionists were helpful and said it wasn’t a problem at all! We were charged about 17 euros for our overnight stay in the car park. All doable and wouldn’t put me off staying in this hotel again as hotel was great and staff very friendly and welcoming.

Very convenient, lovely room and roof top bar with excellent views and swallows flying around. Very good value!

A bit more transparency about parking, it was advertised as having free parking which was the only reason I was a bit put out the local car park is 23 euros a night however there is a free car park only 10 minutes walk away strongly recommend it! Sao Francisco convent, feels like a hassle driving to it but reception was right, 6 min walk back over bridge, excellent secure underground free parking. Big bonus!

Friendly and helpful staff. Room clean, breakfast OK. Good location to explore the city. We came during non-peak season, hence easy to park our car right opposite the hotel.

The room was not big with just a small desk and very limited places to put personal items. It was surprising that kettle and cups were not standard provisions inside the room. Common problems to most accommodations in Portugal: water leaking from shower space, no exhaust fan thus water droplets condensed on all surfaces after a hot shower in winter, nowhere to hang wet clothes.

Absolutley spotless. Very welcoming hotel near the Mondego River. Area is under heavy construction right now, which is always difficult to maneuver around. Good location close to shopping, dining, and sights. Two employees stood out: Tatiana was at the front desk when we checked in. She was so gracious and informative. She was also there when we checked out and helped us with pointers on train tickets, etc. She is a gem. Gustavo was at the rooftop bar, which had a spectacular view of the high city. The roof of the college easily visible to the right. He made recommendations on the bar menu and was willing to chat before he got busy. He is also a gem. I would return here... Hopefully when the local construction is completed.

The only 'observation' is the hardness of the bed pillows. They looked lovely on the bed but we're hard as rocks.

The room is new, modern, and bright with excellent sun light coverage. Breakfast is excellent, especially the croissant. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The starting time for breakfast is very late in the morning. Water leaks out to the bathroom floor after showering. Air conditioner in the room keeps displaying an error code, and the AC doesn't seem to work (even after the staff tried to fix it).

Clean, simple, well located . The rooms are very quiet.

We visited in winter & found the room to be cold instead of cozy.

The setting is lovely, central and close to the river. The staff were exceptional - friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is immaculate and comfortable. The rooftop bar is fabulous - watching the swallows soar ahead while the sun set is something I will never forget. I will definitely return!

Nothing. Not one single thing.

The room was very spacious and clean, and breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is located in the city centre, but you cannot really hear anything from outside; it's well insulated.

Unfortunately, the area around the hotel includes some rough-looking streets, which appear to be associated with some illicit activities. There is often loud music, and the surroundings can feel unsafe after dark.
