5 STARS Wonderful place to stay! Mcnevins exceeded our expectations last weekend when staying with two other friends for a local event. The room was extremely clean, linen and beds were comfortable, good room amenities. Couldn't have asked for better! Great value for money. All staff from checkin to departure were warm and inviting. Great location, safe parking and was very convenient to have breakfast in the motel glasshouse cafe , our meals were great and staff lovely! Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast beverages, topped off a great weekend. Highly recommend and will definitely be rebooking in future. Thankyou

Couldn't fault a thing.

We stay here when we visit family so know the Hotel well. Unfortunately, on Christmas Eve the power went out to the front part of the hotel. On Christmas morning Louise came and asked if we'd mind moving to the area of the hotel that still had power, and we did. The lengths Louise and Shane went to, to make sure everyone was happy were just great. By Christmas night a generator had been sourced, and the hotel was running with power to all rooms. Shane and Louise basically had no Christmas trying to do the best for those of us staying there. They went above and beyond. The breakfasts in the breakfast cafe were great too.

Location was good for those with a car. The rooms were clean. A reasonable pool for the kids. The one bed apartment had a proper fridge. We were glad to be upgraded to the the 1 bedroom apartment from a studio room. If we stay there in future we would pay the extra for the 1 bedroom room.

Usual things like showerhead falling down, they should just replace it with a fixed one. No where to hang wet swimming gear, as the kids loved the pool. The first room we were in was studio style and had an extra "bed in the wall" which is a good idea but it was very heavy and took 2 people to set it up. The studio style room had a very small bar fridge which was disappoint for a family of 4.

Breakfast from the menu was generous and tasty, eaten in the breakfast cafe. There is one step into the cafe, and one step from the parking space to the door of the rooms. The staff were very helpful. The room (King) was generous, and comfortable. Keeping the bathroom door closed minimized the neighbour noise from that side. Window shutters instead of curtains worked well and made an interesting aesthetic feature. The bathroom was not spacious enough to take the wheelchair into, but the rest of the room was accessible once over the initial step.

There was no internal phone in the room, so we couldn’t order room service. (The restaurant is upstairs, so couldn’t get there with a wheelchair.) Sending an able-bodied person to Reception worked, as they ordered for us and we got fed. There’s not much soundproofing - we could hear all the neighbouring conversations and pool noise during the day. It was quiet at night. The bathroom door latch didn’t work properly, preventing the door staying fully closed…can probably be fixed for future guests.

I enjoyed being able to park right at the door to unload luggage and being on a single level is a bonus. The room is very spacious and had two arm chairs and dining table and chairs so you didn’t have to sit on the bed like most hotels to watch tv or eat. The bedding felt very luxurious. My child used the Murphy single bed and slept very well. The mattress was a full single size in thickness so didn’t feel like sleeping on a pull sofa bed.

Although a very clean and comfortable room just needs some visual upgrades to the walls, roof and carpet.

The room was very spacious with table and chairs plus 2 lounge chairs and still plenty of room to move around. The bed very comfortable, a great shower with plenty of warm water. The motel was very quiet, and the location was easy to find. Has a restaurant which was very good, food excellent and service very friendly plus good value for money. Was very impressed as there was very spacious parking outside the rooms.

The only negative was there was a rear glass paneled door which was very bright at night with the security lights on. Would have liked a blind to cover.

It was clean and neat, each day the bed was made and the bins were emptied. Ample car parking too

We chose this accomodation as there was a restaurant. We were not advised the restaurant would not be open for the duration of our stay. The breakfast cafe was open one morning while we stayed there, we were not advised that it would be open and it closed early. When I asked if it would be open the following morning, I was told no. They can't afford to pay the staff!

Great location, walking distance close to the centre of town and the beautiful park next to the river. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Lovely trees and birds on the property and the pool is a pleasant place to relax.

We had the spa suite and there wasn’t any openable window in the living room which could make it a bit stuffy. There is air conditioning though. The couch was getting a bit old and saggy. Next time we will ask for a room away from the main road (most of them are).

The hotel was within easy walking distance to Queens Park where we went for Mary Poppins Festival. The pool was nice and the grounds were kept very tidy and clean. Unfortunately, we didn't eat at the restaurant as it was closed Sunday, however the menu looked very good and the restaurant looked very nice. Although an older building the room was clean and quite big. Heaps of tea, coffee sachets, mugs and glasses. Will definitely be back to stay next time.

There are no comments to make in regards to what I didn't like. It was a very pleasant stay.

Generous sized room and bathroom. Lovely staff. Offered a breakfast cafe that was nicely designed, as well as a restaurant, both of which offered good food and excellent service. The pool was wonderful on a hot day. The landscaping was done with care without being pretentious.

The images on booking.com were a little deceptive.
