With a great location, this motel was perfect for our group. We stayed a few days while working at an event in the area. The facilities were clean and the relief staff were friendly and accommodating. The extra pillows and blankets were really appreciated. The room was larger than expected and the inclusion of cutlery and parts was greatly appreciated.

Hardware in the bathroom is a bit dated, but overall clean.

Mel & her team have the cleanest motel I have ever been in.. the space is great as well - a fridge, microwave, toaster etc & I love that they give you a T-Towel, dish washing liquid & a new wash cloth. I was able to cook my own breakfast & reheat lunch & really clean up. I was there with family group for a funeral & Mel made sure our family all had early check in. Pub across the road is brilliant for counter meals ..

Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the pool is pretty good. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Unfortunate that there was no kitchenette or outdoor grill available for guests to use. The entrances to the under-cover parking spots are also awkwardly narrow and risky to enter when they really have no reason to be, even in a small car. I would suggest simply breaking down the over-reaching wall on either side of the entrance to make it the same width as the actual parking space.

The room was super clean and comfy. Staff were very friendly. Location close to many places for meals.

The motel is on a very busy road - can make getting in and out a little tricky. No road noise in the room though. We arrived after the shade sails over the carparks had been cleaned, unfortunately the next morning we discovered our car was covered in bleachy smelling stuff and had to wash the car - not something that would affect someone staying under usual circumstances and we do appreciate the cleanliness of the motel.

We arrived late and tired after a long drive and it was just lovely to receive such a friendly and kind greeting at reception. The lady was so helpful with some local knowledge that really helped us. The two bed room unit was very spacious and comfortable with everything you need.

For the price and location, there was nothing not to like.

We've been before and rebooked as convenient and good value for money. Everything is very clean and comfortable. Rooms are spacious.

Parking for some rooms is under the building with very low roof - our car would not fit. The fragrance in the rooms is very strong - not sure if cleaning materials or air fresheners but we found it too overpowering.

Really spacious area with lounge & separate bedroom. Very comfortable beds. Kitchenette had crockery, utensils, toaster, microwave..everything needed for an easy meal. Quiet & clean. Great value for a comfortable stay while we explored Maryborough’s Treasures - Queens Park, Military Museum , Cistern Chapel ++

The back area where we were could do with a “pretty up” but the room was great.

The managers were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with bench space to put your personal bathroom items. The internet was stable and the room was away from the road and I didn't notice the traffic at all.

This was a great motel experience. I wish I had found it sooner!

The staff at Blue Shades Motel were really friendly. The process to check in and check out was simple and quick. The room I stayed in was a great size. It was really helpful having a kettle and microwave in the little kitchen area. The bed was quite comfortable. I was in a room right at the back so it was nice and quiet. There were people next door but I couldn't hear them once in the room. The location is very central. Easy to get to grocery stores or shopping centres quickly.

The bathroom has a shower over a small bath so if you struggle stepping up over the edge of the bath just double check what your room will be like. Also the driveway to get between the front and back sections is very narrow. Larger cars do fit but it's a tight squeeze to maneuver into the carparks.
