So friendly and attentive, we were greeted and addressed with wonderful warm smiles and intriguing conversation. The room had everything and if there was anything we needed they were happy to provide, ie bbq tools, chopping board and large sharp knife and bbq tray for when we bbqd by the cool clean pool ... The shower was hot and pressure great, they provided a multi board for our use, kettle, toaster fridge microwave etc,tv large wardrobe We stayed for 8 nights, the central location was ideal for our day trips locally and further north to see the area. We had a car park for our use right outside the front door and they had lollies and soft drinks etc available in reception We will definitely be back for another stay and will likely bring family and friends too , hopefully next year

I felt very welcome at Maryborough City Motel. The owners were so friendly and helpful. I was in town to visit a sick relative and it was quite a stressful time. The reception I received and the motel facilities made a hard trip just that little bit easier. My room was classic motel style, with the handy addition of a microwave and toaster which meant I could cook simple meals when I wanted. I didn't have access to a car during my stay in Maryborough. But it didn't matter because all the facilities I needed - buses, shops etc, were all within walking distance of the motel. As a solo woman traveller I felt very safe. I'm so glad I decided to stay there, it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

As it was an old motel, we didn't have ridiculous expectations, but had read plenty of positive reviews. It lived up to those positives, so we were very happy with our stay. The lady at reception was lovely. On entry to the room, we were met by a lovely fresh and simple decor. The room didn't smell old as you would expect, but fresh. The bed was comfortable, and there was not a lot of noise from the main road, so we had a good sleep.

As the motel is in the process of being renovated, there is going to be the odd negative, but that for us is only in the fact that the bathroom is a bit tired, and there are areas in the room that need a nice fresh paint job. So really not a big deal.

We had an incredible experience at the Maryborough City Motel. From the moment we left Brisbane during a storm, the staff went above and beyond—staying in contact with us the entire journey to ensure we arrived safely. Despite our late arrival, they kindly opened reception just for us and made check-in smooth and stress-free. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and perfectly suited to our needs—clean, quiet, and welcoming. It’s clear the team truly cares about their guests, and their hospitality made all the difference. Highly recommend this motel to anyone needing accommodation in Maryborough. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

The owners are super friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure to stay here again. Due to the absolute friendliness of this place, we chose to stay here again. Once again, just a single overnight stop, yet they remembered our stay from many months ago and remembered my children and I by our booking. They moved us into the bigger room to suit our big family, and we had a thoroughly happy stay. The pool was lovely and fresh, we took the courtesy bus to the RSL and the driver remembered us as well and she was very jovial and we had a nice dinner and an entertaining bus ride to and from. Thanks for making this our go-to stop along our travels to and from the big smoke. Highly recommend.

They went the second mile on a few occasions. When our train was delayed around 45 minutes, one of the owners drove to the Railway station so that we didn't need to organise an Uber or a cab. While we were there, the owners put on a free BBQ for all the guests. This was particularly significant given that many of the guests were younger tradespeople who were not used to being away from home. At the end of our stay, we were once again given a ride to our transport.

Owners were friendly. Motel is older but room was clean & functional with mine (no 19) even having a full size fridge. Location of just 600m to the City Hall & Woolies & walking distance to main tourist attractions was excellent. The swimming pool was a big plus & it was very clean. Microwave, plates & cutlery supplied.

Fair bit of traffic noise during the day, although this didn't continue into the night. Light outside the door did send some light into the room.

I did not book a quiet room. I just wanted a basic room with all the amenities needed for an overnight stay. I think this motel is practical and clean; and the people managing it are very caring and considerate. The people looked after my needs very well in the stressful occasion I was visiting for. Thank you so very much.. This is not about the motel - but is included as it reflects the understanding nature of the management. Another customer had children. They were crying and active which happens with young ones, (This is not meant as a complaint). With people travelling the noise was within normal boundaries. My dogs reacted to this unfamiliar noise and activity. It was the mother of these children who complained to me about my dogs who were safely in the room while I had a funeral to go to. Thankfully the management people were very understanding. My dogs settled when I was there even with the children's noises.

The staff were very accommodating as I experienced delay after delay on my way to stay the night. They were very helpful with preparing a room for myself and my new puppy on our way back home. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was cool, and the shower helped me feel refreshed for my next part of my journey home. As a pet friendly room, I appreciated the tiled floor throughout as it made cleaning up after my little puppy easier (not that he made a mess anyway).

The room was nothing fancy but it didn't need to be for my purpose - I just needed a bed to break-up my journey that was good value for money and would accept me and my 10-week old puppy - box after box ticked. The tap in the sink could use a new washer but wasn't an annoying drip or anything, it just needed to be positioned just right to not waste any water.

I experienced a number of challenges leading up to our overnight stay and some car issues on top of it. The owners were absolutely amazing people, so friendly, helpful and went well out of their way to help accommodate my children and I while we attempted to sort out our car situation and I was recovering from surgery as well. I could not rate our stay highly enough, given all the stress I was under. Thank you so much for all the help and kindness. Most lovely people you will meet.
