I booked to stay here with my 4 week old son, 19 month old daughter and husband the lovely lady called me up to double check the ages of the babies and to see if the single bed would be suitable and asked if I was bringing anything for the smaller baby to sleep in and kindly noted how they was 2 small babies and put me into a room downstairs, staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious for my biggest baby to run around in and for all my smallest baby to have all his equipment out and his bed up. The hotel was very quiet even though many were staying there too. You’re close to all shops and places to eat if you choose not to eat at the pub there. The value for money was great too

The rooms were a little dated. No plug sockets near beds nor any USB sockets whixh are the norm in most hotels in this day and age. The bathroom are very worn and even although they are probably cleaned to highest standards the rotting bath panels stained and old bath with overhead shower and the non slip area in bath to step into for shower was slippy to point I couldn't safely have a shower. Upgrading of rooms are definitely required as the are substandard especially for disabled accessibility.

Didn't have breakfast but did eat at the restaurant - service and food very good. Hotel had good parking and close to train station for easy access to Liverpool and Chester. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and kept clean. Can't fault it.

I did report that we had audio description on the TV which we couldn't work out how to get rid of on the remote control. I reported it but no one sorted it, however with trial and error we did manage to find how to do it ourselves.

Good breakfast - wide choice. Location was a short drive from the house of friends whom I had come to visit. Helpful and friendly staff with an especial shout out for Hayley, the acting manager.

A bit disappointed that the third night (Saturday) cost £20 more than the first two nights. No armchair in the room. Light over desk not available. Only one of the two advertised Greene King beers in the bar was available. Apparently during Covid people got used to drinking different beers at home and less Greene King draught is now sold so the bar alternates the two beers rather than putting both on at the same time. It was not a major problem - I like Abbott (the beer on offer) and I had only one pint anyway.

The staff were excellent - so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble - only reason I put a negative for the view was that it was of a side of a building - but to be honest you would not be booking this hotel for the view - but it was very close to our friends and was absolutely perfect for what we needed , the pub food was also very good and very reasonably priced - for the 3 nights we stayed there was nothing we could fault - little walk to the train station for a day out in Liverpool - parking no problem , Bed very comfortable - bathrooms could probably do with a little up date , but other than that it was perfect for our stay

Hotel staff extremely helpful especially Celine who went out of her way to help us all hotel staff were always very pleasant.

The food in the Royal Oak pub was terrible we had Sunday dinner which was like eating an old boot, that was the only meal we had we ate out all the time in Bromborough which had lovely places to eat. Mike in the pub was very welcoming unlike the rest of the bar staff.

The room was comfortable as were the beds. Tea and coffee facilities perfect. Cleanliness was excellent. We were visiting friends and Liverpool itself so we weren’t in the room a lot but it was perfect for our needs and a reasonable price. The receptionist that checked us in was so friendly and really helpful. An excellent first impression.

We were woken at 5am by the fire alarm - that is out of the control of the hotel - but the communication from the staff member on duty was terrible and when he did finally come and tell us we could return to our rooms, he blamed it on “some selfish person having a shower”. The only other disappointing thing was that we returned to the hotel at 11:50pm hoping for a nightcap to be told that the bar was closed and that the fridge where the hotel used to be able to sell drinks to the hotel, was broken so could no longer provide anything. For a hotel attached to a pub I thought this was woefully inadequate.

The breakfast was excellent - lots of choice of continental and cooked breakfast. The service was attentive, friendly and quick, particularly from Adene in the mornings. We also had dinner in the hotel and this was good value for money. The room was basic but comfortable and more than adequate for a short stay with chairs and desk/table and tea/coffee making facilities The room was clean. Live football was shown in the pub part of the hotel which we enjoyed

The TV in our room did not work properly and we had to move room to resolve this problem. This was arranged quickly after we reported the issue. Gemma cleaned and prepared a new room for us and was very helpful.

The hotel is ideally suited for walking around that part of the Wirral, and is in the centre of Bromborough village, although well sound-insulated from the public house, and the A41 and village traffic. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and willing to do anything asked of them to make our stay more pleasant. We would particularly like to recommend Jan on Reception in the hotel, and Adene in the restaurant, who ensured that I had a lovely gluten-free breakfast and provided great service to us both. There are bus stops directly outside the hotel, with buses to the rest of the Wirral, Chester, and to Liverpool City Centre. Fare are very reasonable. There is a railway station only a short walk away, again with access to Chester, Liverpool and the rest of the Wirral. We didn´t miss having a car with us at all. There is a large shopping centre nearby, as well as a range of local shops, all within a few minutes walk.

The Hotel decor is now a little tired, and in need of refurbishment. The lack of electrical sockets next to the bed, meant that we had to use an extension lead across the room at night, to charge and use our tablets, phones etc. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, warm and clean.

The breakfast was basic, it was a bit confusing because the pub next to it had two menus, one from the pub and one for hotel members. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were of a satisfactory standard.

There was no one in reception at night, My friend was stuck outside with his Family at 1am, he rang me to come down and open the door for them as the buzzer at the door didn't work.
