The suite was very big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. For such a large complex, it was very well maintained and pretty quiet.

At check-in, we could smell skunk spray in the front parking area. No big deal. Outside is where they live. We felt lucky to get the last available room on this particular night. As soon as we entered our room, the smell was overwhelming. The air conditioning unit was left on and had drawn more odor into the room than was outside! We reported to the front desk but we knew we had booked the last room so we didn't expect there was much for them to do to remedy the situation. They ended up upgrading us to the suite which we didn't actually need because there were only two of us but it was very nice and well appointed and it was extremely nice of the staff to give us a great place to sleep.

the pool was at a great temperature to help us cool down after a 97 degree day. the young woman at the registration desk was polite, knowledgeable, and quick. she offered pool towels and cold bottled water upon checking in. our room stayed cool and comfortable, and the beds were also comfortable. Water pressure for the shower was excellent.

the doors to each room need repainted. which isn't a good first impression. If you do decide to repaint them, please use a paint that doesn't get hot. I put my hand on the door to push it open and just about burned my hand, The bathroom also needs repainted.

The pool staying open until 11 was great! Nothing like soaking your feet in the hot tub after a full day at Cedar Point. My room was inside above the main lobby, so it was more private than the drive-up style rooms. Just down the street from Cedar Point Dr. and to the east, so getting to the park takes no more than 5 minutes.

The shower head was at eye-level for me, and I'm 5'10". I had to get on my knees to properly rinse my hair. aside from that. The bathroom was very nice and recently updated.

Our room was sparkling clean, and went above my expectations for what I thought a motel would be. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. No weird smells like we have had in other hotels/motels in this area. The beds were incredibly comfortable as well. This is the only place I'll be staying when we go to Cedar Point from now on! It was a winner for location, price, comfort, and cleanliness.

The breakfast did not have any protein or warm options, simply muffins/pastries/bread, cereal and pancakes. I was not expecting it, from the descriptions provided, but it would have bumped up the value even more if there had been non-carb breakfast options. But the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast area clean. And the coffee was good.

The staff is amazing, this is my second year there. It is so close to Cedar point, the town, food shopping and attractions. The hotel is clean convenient has a pool,hot tub,BBq pit, continental breakfast in which the staff the woman who works there is the nicest person in the world 5 stars 🥰. All the other guest are friendly and nice as well.

I did like everything about this place my only flaw which is not really a concern * because i have children that are now grown... If you go as a couple and plan on enjoying the pool or hot tub forget it it gets really crowded. It was cute watching the kids have a good time though that's what vacations are for. All and all I will always Make this my go to!!

The staff was outstanding. The guy who checked us in (I think his name was Sai-sorry, I am horrible with names!) was extremely kind and helpful. He helped us carry our bags up to our room on the 2nd floor. He was wonderful when we couldn't get our key card to work, making us 2 new ones, only to discover that we were using it wrong. Love that they gave us free ice cold water. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept on! Very clean!

The only thing I can think of that was not great were that the towels were kinda rough, but there were plenty of them. Otherwise it was wonderful!

Inn was in a great location to the amusement park; about 3 miles. We opted to leave the car at the Inn and take a cab which was pricey at $25 one way, but they dropped us off and picked us up at the front so we didn't have to mess with getting in and out of the huge parking lot. An Uber is around $12 one way. It is an older building but it has been updated with fresh paint and relatively modern flooring. Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was nicely done with fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, donuts and make your own pancakes. Juice and coffee as well.

Our room was exactly like it was represented in the pictures online. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The check-in was very easy and staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool, but it appeared to be very well maintained and clean. The air conditioner worked great and kept the entire room very cool. :-)

The bathroom (toilet and shower area) was very small. There were ants on the floor in the bathroom/sink area. Not a ton of them, but enough to worry that they would get on our things. We put our suitcase up on the ironing board to keep it off of the floor and away from the ants.

Room was clean and sufficient. This is our second stay here. Front desk personnel are always friendly. Breakfast options included pancakes, cereal, pastries, yogurt, juice, and coffee.

It would have been better if I wasn't woken up at 2am by four women talking and coughing loudly just outside our door while they were smoking. They were completely unapologetic. This reflects badly on them, but isn't the fault of South Shore Inn.

The continental breakfast was great! We really enjoyed the self serve pancakes, they were hot and delicious! Proximity to cedar point amusement park was excellent! Parking on property and no road noise. Kids loved the slides at the pool and the hot tub was relaxing after a long day at the park. A/C in room was super cold. Having a microwave and mini fridge were wonderful for leftovers, drinks etc.

Shower heads are low, I’m the shortest in my family at 5’4” and even I had to bend down to get my hair washed. But otherwise, everything was great!
